  1. At that price point? Lenovo, Acer, Asus
  2. Yes. Build quality isn't great, overpriced, loaded with shitty software.
  3. DRM for music is a thing of the past. Apple was holding out there which is why I specifically mentioned that even they went DRM Free 3+ years ago. The Instant Video thing isn't Fire exclusive. You can use it on your PS3 or computer and I'm sure other things. Plus, I think you have to have Prime to use it anyways, which is another example of them wanting you to be a part of their ecosystem rather than use specific services. The point is just to get people into the ecosystem. This is pretty basic stuff. You get people there, you get them buying anything, even if it's completely unrelated but they happened to see it or thought of it, and Amazon makes money.
  4. I don't think it mentions DRM-Free because it's incredibly obvious. Even iTunes has been DRM-Free since 2009. The authorization thing makes sense for streaming but not so much for uploading. I guess they just apply it to both to be safe. Your'e assuming they don't want you tied to the whole ecosystem but the Kindle Fire is a perfect example of just that. They want you on Amazon. Breaking it into individual services isn't the point.
  5. Forgot you had to authorize it on your desktop, still less of a hassle than on your phone. =p Why wouldn't it? It's only the download itself that's tied to Amazon. Once it's on your computer you can do whatever you please with it. It's DRM-Free. That's the point TheFlyingGerbil and I are stressing. Do you really think that Google is selling more music, movies, books, etc, than the content kings Amazon?
  6. This is always the hardest part. What games are you trying to play? Do you already have a desktop you play games on now? Also, both Dell and HP are shit.
  7. Like NBA Jam! Not on EU PSN Vanquish>>>>>>>>>>>>NBA Jam
  8. If you do it online you can but there is a download manager in the middle. Which is one of the things I love about Bandcamp: It's all in your browser. Find the album/song. Pay for it. Download page comes up. Pick your format. Download the zip. I think they're just hoping that one day you will buy something. It seems to be working overall for them. Your last post doesn't seem right. Once it's on your computer, there's no DRM, so you can just drag and drop. You don't need to authorize anything unless your'e actually using the Amazon app and it's a piece of shit so unless you're using the cloud services or downloading within the app (I think it lets you do this?) then there's no reason to even install it. Google's edge over Amazon is only that it's free. Google Music's 20k song limit is quite annoying. The Amazon app (again, why the fuck would you even use it for this) lets you play local music. tl;dr Just throw the files onto your phone and you can use whatever music player you want. The authorization only comes when you tie to your Amazon account.
  9. Uncharted 2 had co-op! How is Uncharted 3's multiplayer anyways? I played the beta and it didn't feel as good as UC2 but that was likely because it was a beta.
  10. Hopefully, anyways. This entitled gamer shit is already bad enough.
  11. As part of the PC/PS3 master race you made the right decision Cyber.
  12. Listening to the new Comadre after someone on Reddit described it as Refused covering pop-punk songs. He probably thought that was supposed to be a bad thing. I love the non-hardcore influences on this album. http://comadre.bandcamp.com/album/comadre
  13. Well that's unsuprising. We know they've been fucking with HTPCs. I guess we all just want something more exciting.
  14. It gives you a warning when you turn the game on again, actually. It even does this when you have to quit due to framerate issues as a result of the dsfix. Which is why I enabled automatic backups.
  15. I'd save up the extra money for something that small but has all of those features. I fucking hate the size of desktops.
  16. Press start and go to the options menu. Quiting the way you are doing could fuck up your file.
  17. I'm not sure how this is an Ouya competitor. The Ouya isn't portable.
  18. How much of a market is there for Android devices that aren't phones? That's what I'm wondering here. Are Nvidia trying to get this sort of device jumpstarted, trying to create some sort of market for it to compete with the Vita and 3DS? Will people want to buy this when they also have a smartphone?
  19. I don't recall anything interesting in the article other than the headline.
  20. I guess I can mention I purchased The Dog Stars by Peter Heller. I really enjoyed the first 1/3rd of it so I decided to throw some money at him for it.
  21. Shit dean, with that post, you could have had insane amounts of pxod press.

I got a thankyou from him too. I just thought it was random post, surprised how high up it ended actually. And yeah, fucking retards who bitch for using the headline when others bitch for not using headline.

  23. What apps even require 4.1? I can imagine some sort of lockscreen specific app requiring 4.2 but the main thing about JB 4.1 was the expanding notifications and project butter wasn't it?
  24. It shouldn't be compared to the 360 either. It's going to be supplementing my PS3 and gaming PC by providing what is basically a gimped HTPC for cheap. Hell, might not even be gimped if someone gets Ubuntu running on it.
  25. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.HBO&hl=en Also, you shouldn't be comparing to the PS4.
