  1. Oh yeah, now I can remember. 1 camera for every 13 people or something.
  2. I can't remember, did the UK really did get mentioned? He mentions being pepper sprayed in 1999. In 1999 were the WTO riots in Seattle. Sucker Punch is based out of Bellevue, which is right across the water from Seattle, so this guy is local... so no idea what's up with a UK mention.
  3. I assume they were trying to avoid making him look like a college student.
  4. Please tell me you don't do this in real life.
  5. Yeah, this whole Android thing really hasn't taken off.
  6. You really should not be doing this. It will kill your battery. It's a terrible, terrible habit and I don't know why you're doing it right from the start in the first place.
  7. Oh okay, that pic makes it clear. That's basically standard multi-tasking with a touchwiz button at the bottom to ask task management. Touchwiz looks so... outdated compared to the standard Android UI. I was talking the left physical button as other phones have a multi-tasking button.
  8. So wait, does the S3 have a menu button there on the left or is that a multi-tasking button? Also, "fucking app" should be "fucking up"
  9. Can you actually close apps that way? Standard Android implementation is that if you swipe them away from the multi-tasking menu then they only disappear from the multi-tasking menu. To actually close the app (which really, you shouldn't be doing unless it's fucking app) you have to long press on the item in the multi-tasking menu and click "app info."
  10. What do you mean? If you mean closing apps, then don't. This myth died several years ago. I prefer Tasks for its simplicity, widget, and Google tasks integration. Any.Do's widgets sucks. Though lately I've been using Wunderlist which so far blows both out of the water. If you're on a 4.1 or higher phone check out Notable for reminder notifications. AirDroid is nice but if you just want the texting portion try out MightyText. As for keyboards I recommend just trying a couple. I'm a huge fan of SwiftKey since it allows the most mistakes while typing. Its swiping capabilities are alright. My favorite overall keyboard and I hope they improve the swiping. Kii is basically the 4.2 keyboard but available for any phone and with tons of customization so that gets a recommendation. If you want to try Swype make sure you download the beta. My favorite news reading app ATM is Press. It's a paid app but I found it to be far more consistent than Feedly which would have trouble detecting gestures and remembering my info. Flipboard is far too slow since its one article at a time. Try out SleepTime if you use your phone as an alarm. Simple and easy way to wake up without being disturbed too much. Free app. If you care about SMS then SMS backup and restore is great for exactly what it says. Mint is useful if you want to manage your money/just view your bank accounts on your phone. Chrome to phone lets you send links/text from your browser (FF/Chrome) to your phone. I use Solid Explorer for file management. By far the best. That's about it for daily use stuff. I also use Pocket and ScreenFilter. Now that you can use it I'd recommend Google Authenticator to add extra security to your Google account. Works with some other accounts, too.
  11. Is there a wrong word being used here?
  12. It runs 37 cats, 3 gerbils, and plays media on mindiscs.
  13. Usefulness is like a smartphone I guess. If you don't feel the need to share everything, look up directions instantly, take pictures easily, etc, then it won't be useful for you.
  14. How the fuck do you expect people to get a random movie reference? I'm sure all of us have seen Saving Private Ryan but actually recognizing that? Take a break from the Internet.
  15. I'm pretty certain the Nexus 4 was announced before the Optimus G, then LG surprised absolutely no one when they released the G which is basically all of the 4s part with buttons + LTE + LGs Android tweaks. Anyways, if you're just paying for the phone, I would just save up money, sell plasma/whore yourself, do what you gotta do. Buying an underpowered/not the phone you want is a poor choice when you're stuck with it for so long. It looks like your big choice will be between size and if you care about TouchWiz or not. IIRC, LG has one of the less annoying Android OSs.
  16. What co-op based games on PSN don't let you talk to your teammate when you'd actually want to? Voice chat does exist on the PS3 you know.
  17. This is the ONE thing that makes me keep Xbox Live. And I do mean the one and ONLY thing. Do you not have a cell phone or a computer with a microphone? I don't get why people want to be bugged while they're playing a game. Even more distracting than listening to your own music.
  18. That difference means nothing when you're on a 2-year contract. You will be paying out of your ass for the phone regardless. Optimus G is the Nexus 4 with LG changes to it. There's already work being done to get it to basically be a Nexus 4.
  19. Why would you get a Windows Phone that doesn't have Windows Phone 8? 920 or HTC8x or bust.
  20. Sometimes I forget that there's a site attached to this forum. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors.
  21. It depends what you want. Android= variety. iPhone= one thing.
  22. You're comparing sale price and not MSRP.
  23. I liked Django but it was definitely far too long.
  24. First resutls on Google for me: PS Vita 32gb MSRP: $100 Sandisk 32gb MicroSD MSRP: $200 Anyways, a more realistic comparison: Change to 16gb- MSRP: $60 Compare it to class 10 16gb MicroSD card's MSRPs
  25. The memory card pricing is comparable to microSD card's MSRPs. I don't know why people make such a big deal out of it.
