If we're talking oversaturation of platformers Cave Story came out in 2004, Aquaria in 2007, etc. There's far less puzzle platformers per year than FPS games. Plus, not many indie FPS to choose from.

How many FPS titles do we have a year vs. the number of indie-platformers a year? The spread of years for that titles is pretty wide. Not to mention that most of those focus on differing game mechanics/playstyles whereas the issue with FPS is they all try to mimic each other. So try again.

This is pretty amazing. This isn't the first time something like this has happened but I don't think it's ever been handled with such an attitude.

My understanding is that it's 720p @ 60fps or 1080p @ 30fps. If by first party you mean some Mario game that requires barely anything out of the console then yes it will hit 1080p at 60fps. So did some PSN games.

Sort it by time of ownership and read what people say. Also with HDDs you should care about the warranty so see what people say about that. That's also one reason you might want to go with NewEgg over some third party on Amazon. Compare stuff like that.

A quick comparison to NewEgg shows that the price is solid. However, Amazon reviewers aren't nearly as dilligent as NewEgg ones so you might want to find the same drive on NewEgg and see what people think of it.

It's funny for a second until you remember what the ending of the game really is and realize that the alternate ending is basically the same thing but with humor added in.

I use NoScript and DoNotTrackMe which blocks a lot of third party content. So it enforces the very good habit of not hotlinking. Considering everyone should have learned how not to hotlink when they first started using the Internet it shouldn't be a problem. It's barely a step away from posting a screenshot into a word document.

I had the realization today that this album is nearly 5 years it old. I heard it Febuary 2008 within the first month it was released... and realizing this has had a pretty emotional affect on me. It's been the most consistently listened to album in my library, it's been with me for lots of lows and some highs... I usually don't get so sentimental about this sort of thing but I can't think of an album that has had more of an effective on my life. Dan and Tim really tapped into something special with this album that they likely never will again. If you browse music forums you'll see I'm not the only one who reacts this way to the album. There's really nothing else like it.

What? Have you never seen concept art? Plenty of it will be done in completely different styles than the game itself. I mean what the fuck. They're artists. They create and create until it gets focused. After you get that focus you can do spins on it for promotional work like this. It's an absolutely gigantic jump to think that a game is scatterbrained because the fucking cover art doesn't look the same for all of the choices. This is seriously the worst thing I've read all day and I've even been on Reddit today!

What is bulk buying and economies of scale? What is taking a loss on hardware to sell software? PS3 owners don't buy many games though is the issue there. Bad attachment rate. Don't assume Steam would be doing the same and it's not a fair comparison because Sony was doing things no one else was doing which really drove up costs: Blu-ray and cell.

You're making the assumption that Valve won't be able to cut deals and/or sell at a loss here. You're assuming they're just ordering parts off of NewEgg and throwing it together and then selling that.

That would make sense if there wasn't a new generation of consoles coming up. Now is the perfect time to launch this.
