Ah, didn't read that at the time. I tend to differentiate between leaks and hacks, but accept that it's not an industry standard.

It's a real shame, I think driven by (i) Arrogance that you think you know better than the PR/marketing teams that have worked on the release plan; and/or (ii) A desire to get acknowledgement from people you don't know. Seen similar in CoD, someone leaking info because "we weren't sharing enough info with the community" or something like that. Like, maybe you do know better, but that's not the way things work. You plan and execute as a team, or the whole thing falls apart.

The irony of calling this movie a "live action remake" is palpable.

BRB, creating a controller company called "Fight or Flight"...

I loved the bait and switch with Totally had me in the first half as I wondered why the Predator would even do that.

In the UK the Predator is a Disney Princess for those wondering.

The only actor I can think of off the top of my head who doesn't look like himself (if you get what I mean) from film to film is Gary Oldman. Guy is a freakin' chameleon.

Gaiman's adaptations have generally been spot on. Neverwhere, Coraline, and Good Omens were all great.

I know where you are coming from @TheMightyEthan. After bouncing off Returnal, I think difficult bullet-hell games are just Not For Me, even if they are otherwise excellent in terms of lore, art-style, best of their genre, etc. -
There was a I really enjoyed Dr Strange II. Especially when Disney nipped down the shops and Raimi went full Raimi while their backs were turned.

Yikes.

I'm not keen on the concept of RPG Assassin's Creed personally. Wish they would go back to it being an action game. -
Pretty sure that counts as "beat". You got the final boss. Asking players to do it 10 times is a bit excessive. Like suggesting that Elden ring isn't "beat" until you have seen every permutation of NPC sidequests. I liked the way managed progression in it personally, being able to smash through areas and bosses that used to be a challenge now that you are tankier, hit harder, etc. felt great to me, but I can understand how it felt filler-ish.

Ugh... Libertarianism... Hobbes summed up where that leads in Leviathan: “There be no propriety, no Dominion, no Mine and Thine distinct; but that to be every man's that he can get; and for so long as he can keep it.”

I don't mean a particular State or Federal gov't. I mean the USA as a whole, just agree to give it a punt, tear up the 2nd, ban private ownership, buy back the guns in an amnesty so hard working Americans are not out of pocket. Like at this point, it can't really get much worse, so the only people with something to lose by trying it are people who are invested in continuing to promote private gun ownership (whether financially or politically).
-
They are 100% going to blame: (i) The school resource officer, who really signed up to watch kids walk through a metal detector and search the odd bag for a knife; (ii) The general security protocols in the school; and, if pushed hard enough (iii) The cops a little bit for not being more gung-ho. The right won't go too hard on cops, because that would set a dangerous precedent of suggesting that cops are in any way accountable for negative outcomes of their action/inaction. I sorta feel like, at this point, just for the hell of it, why would you not try a ban on private gun ownership and a gov't mandated buy-back plan. The only reason not to try it at this point, is that you are terrified that it would work, and then you'd be really fucked.

Sekiro and Elden are definitely the most different From games from each other. Elden is "do what you want, when you want, how you want" while Sekiro is a much more linear, curated experience (and arguably, more balanced for it). I love them both. -
Having an openly political supreme court has always struck me as a potential issue tbf. Like, I'm not naïve enough to think that UK Supreme Court Justices are apolitical, (they almost certainly, being mostly rich white folk, lean slightly to the right in the majority) but at least UK judges politics are personal and supposed to be set aside, rather than being public and carrying an expectation that they will be followed as appears to be the case in US.

Sounds like politics. Executive proposes legislation and (in theory) persuades the legislative to vote for it. I know in practice Blue Leader proposes legislation and Blue team vote for it (unless they are actually Red team posing as Blue team) but I digress. It's how separation of powers is supposed to work really... -
For me, God Mode on Hades made a huge amount of difference, also, at least you could take the gems or whatever it was you got from it to permanently improve weapons. I wish there was something similar for Returnal, either a God Mode that makes you more tanky, or weapon proficiency being permanent, at least that way I would feel like dying was at least netting me some progress other than "gitting gudder". The weapon proficiency thing really irked me, since my expectation was that Selene would remember that she was getting better at shooting a specific gun, alas, no.
