  1. I don't get why the controllers have to come off. If it's comfortable to hold as is, then just beam it to the TV. If it's not comfortable, it's gonna suck as a handheld. Only sensible reason is that the controllers detach and each person has one for some basic 2 player games. *shrug* I think this is gonna be the virtual boy of this generation based on the limited info so far.
  2. Oh my, this episode! These people *love* hills.
  3. http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2016/07/26/time-commanders-is-coming-back-and-its-looking-for-contestants Awesome.
  4. Thank fuck for that. https://twitter.com/NoMansSky/status/756889227095318528
  5. The patent is for the application of the formula, not the formula itself. Patent law is indeed ridiculous, no idea if this has legs or not. Hope it doesn't.
  6. Sounds like a last minute bump in the road. http://www.pcgamer.com/company-claims-no-mans-sky-uses-its-patented-equation-without-permission/ Seems like a legit complaint prima facie, but my cynical side says that the timing is done to cause max damage and get an unfairly high payout.
  7. Pretty sure it has a record of your time. But not the same as the dashes et al.
  8. Did the story of Mirror's Edge Catalyst. Now to grind through all the delivery etc. missions. Oh, Ethan, you can replay missions, just go all the way to the right on the options menu.
  9. I get that people who paid may feel put out, but they will still get more than the free to players and they did have exclusive access to the game for a long time. I think they got their money's worth.
  10. slightly annoying that next season is delayed while they wait for actual winter to film some scenes. Means the final series will be a couple of months late. http://www.slashfilm.com/game-of-thrones-season-7-delayed/
  11. Yup. David was electable. Ed is a tit. I get that Corbyn was chosen by the membership of the Labour party, but the bottom line is that if he doesn't have the support of his MPs then he can't effectively lead the party. There's no point in "having a mandate" if everything you try to do with that mandate is voted down because you don't have the respect of your peers. If he's chosen to lead again by the membership (which seems inevitable) then he'll continue to be woefully ineffective. He's pretty much going to gift wrap the next election for May when she eventually calls it (in 2020). Even when he had the support of the party (leading up to the referendum) his leadership was piss poor. Rather than leading labour voters (and his followers in particular) to come out strongly in favour of Remain, he was absent from all the major rallying points, and when questioned directly was wishy washy to the point of saying he was "about 70% in favour of remain". Being a leader means you pick a direction and strike out on it. Not waver around just off from the middle while you mull over what might be. He's supposed to be in charge of the party, not auditioning for bloody Hamlet.
  12. Doesn't matter if you aren't healing if the alternative is that you have dropped a teleporter behind the enemy lines. Your time to the front line is massively reduced which is all that matters.
  13. Same here, I completely missed the Pokemon train first time around, so have zero interest in this new fad. I feel very out of touch with my twitter feed.
  14. It was sooooo close so I only had to add a tiny bit more.
  15. I think he's one of those "fun to dislike" people because he is a) Successful, b) Not offensive and c) White, middle class, male. I find his stuff funny, but it's cheap "what's with that" observational stuff, as opposed to the more cerebral Sewart Lee humour. (Not that I'm saying "Boo hoo, why will nobody stand up for the rich white guy?" more that he's a safe person to hate on).
  16. Yeah, "up for" used interchangeably with "down for" or "down to" to mean that I am willing to participate in whatever activity. Depending on context "it" may well be implying sex.
  17. You are quite right. You can blink forward and stay in mid-air, but not blink in direction of travel. Thanks for the correction.
  18. So comprehensive that they repeated 51 at 83.
  19. That's a cool thing to do.
  20. This is true. Scoring systems are really bad at accounting for things like aggro or other support type roles.
  21. A lot of people say she's more useful in disrupting enemy lines and distraction than as a kills participant. I'd say that fits well with her skill set. If you're keeping the team off balance, baiting the enemy offence to break off and deal with you then you are doing some good Tracing.
  22. I don't like it. I'm no fan of either Sky or politicians, but I do think that if you set out in good faith to conduct an interview, then you should act in good faith. I'm fine with "Fake Sheikh" style stings, but this just feels wrong.
  23. I main Mercy only because nobody ever wants to play Mercy, so I take one for the team.
