  1. Actually Ethan, they have the best, the very best mosquitoes. Hard working mosquitoes, not like the corrupt Shillary mosquitoes that used to live in DC. These mosquitoes, well, let me tell you about my plans to bomb Isis...
  2. It actually appears to mean "Drain the swamp so I dredge the bottom to find enough creatures to fill my cabinet posts."
  3. They just look a bit like Protheans now. Not exactly crazily distinct, like the jellyfish dudes, or the big sloth guys.
  4. Titan Fall 2. Such a great campaign. The fun of switching from ultra agile Pilot, to walking battle-tank is brilliant!
  5. Seemed Dean was saying that people don't understand the premise. Not disputing for a moment that it is total baloney.
  6. Dude! Spoilers! P.S. I thought everyone knew about that stupid "we only use 10% of our brain" stat. That was the whole premise of Limitless too.
  7. I know that a Base SKU is the most basic vanilla Stock Keeping Unit. I mean what is it in Switch terms. Is it the pad on its own with the removable sticks, the pad with the TV base? With the weird controller adaptor?
  8. I see. Was not aware that there were overheating claims. I'll keep an eye on it.
  9. Eh? As in rarity? Or overheating issues?
  10. I got one too. (Mostly as an excuse to get that 4K OLED LG I've been jonesing for.) It's pretty, the light bleed on the new controller is a good idea, but I still don't look at it much, so only really serves to let me know the controller is on.
  11. Which is dumb because if you're a Dem in a complacent Rep state why not screw the other guyses over and vote, I mean if you want to do anything "for the lols" for god's sake go do that. I mean, it's like playing the prisoners' dilemma against someone you know is going to Betray. There's no point in Cooperating cos you get screwed either way. You might as well screw them in the process, and may even go over the top.
  12. But if say half the people who thought like that voted, you'd see a much closer run in the race, which might inspire half of the remaining defeatists to vote which would flip the state. I just think that "It's not going to change anything." is a dumb reason to not vote. Especially when non voters make up almost half the electorate.
  13. My bad, there was a space at the end of the link. Works now. Yeah, that was what I meant with "candidate with a chance of winning". Though I do find the defeatist attitude a bit weird. I mean how do you know there aren't millions of people in the state that are all saying "I'm not going to bother voting Blue, this is a Red state." and if they did bother would totally change it? Especially when half the electorate don't even turn up. That's huge potential for changing your state's colour.
  14. I really don't get this stuff... https://twitter.com/TheGingerarchy/status/796728898646056960 You register to vote, get up, get ready, get your ID, get to the polling station, then, even though you clearly have a preferred candidate with a real chance of winning you do some dumb shit like this. Why bother with all the effort at the start to bin your vote on a joke? And then having done that, why blame anyone but yourself?
  15. That's some real "heavy weighs the crown" shit right there yo.
  16. Agree with Dean, Brexit is way worse. Trump is just one guy. He can't *do* anything without SCOTUS, Senate, House, whatever signing off on it. He could maybe start a war... But I really don't think that likely. Brexit is as Dean said irreversible and will change a huge amount here in regards to workers rights, import / export tariffs, and so forth. Ironically, immigration (especially of the illegal kind) is likely to remain unchanged since a lot of it happens from outside EU, but there you go... Everyone gets the history they deserve as my dad says.
  17. Hopefully the whole racist schtick was just Trump pitching to the disaffected white blue collars who make up the majority of the US and now that he's in power he will chill the fuck out.
  18. Early December!? Resi VII hype intensifies!

  19. Didn't realise Relays were only inside the galaxy.
  20. I think that what he is saying is that education is a result of wealth just as a poor education is a result of poverty, however being uneducated, unlike e.g. being black is the perception that it is something that an individual can be blamed for. A poor black person can look to the inherent racism of the system and say "it is your fault" and the almost entirely white wealthy class can't argue effectively against that. An uneducated person points to the system saying "it's your fault" and the erudite wealthy can look at them and say "no it isn't you should have worked harder in school like I did". It offloads the guilt that the poor are poor by happenstance and that you are lucky to be wealthy and replaces it with the notion that "I worked hard to learn so I am wealthy. You did not so you are poor." It's almost a reflection of the Victorian way of thinking. The poor choose to be poor, so it's not a problem. Of course that argument is bullshit. A good education is as much a product of wealth as it is a cause for it, which Chris Arnade recognises. But if you line the chicken and the egg up right you get to pass off the class divide as one of lazy v industrious.
