  1. It's going to be a huge loss for Putin in long/medium term. He had a neutral state in the form of Ukraine on his border, he's going to end up with Ukraine being a member of the EU when the dust settles.
  2. I thought the same. I was like... So we can just nick other people's territory again and you basically just get a fine? Cos the English used to love doing that shit up to the 18-1900s, but then it sort of fell out of fashion in the 1940's.
  3. I've got back into running on the regular. Normally do a 5k a couple of times a week and occasionally bang out a 10k just to make sure I still can. I use the Zombies Run app for motivation.
  4. Do they fold up? They look like they do. The tyres look really fat... Are they for the beach or something?
  5. You keep using that word... I do not think it means what you think it means.
  6. What sort of range does a Spot even have? There's a lot of border and I'd imagine roomba style charging stations would have to be tempting targets.
  7. I really can't tell if you loved it or hated it. I thought the combat was lacking a bit until I got hold of the after that I felt the combat flowed well. The axe recall is hugely satisfying and makes me want them to make a Thor game as well. I never noticed being shot from off cam. I do always appreciate when games don't do that (Jedi Fallen Order is another that does it well, storm troopers will shoot at you from off cam, but will always miss - which kinda fits in universe as well). It was new for a GoW game to have enemy levels and I remember opening one of the rift thingies and getting utterly curb stomped by a mook. It's so long since I played that I don't really remember how levels work tbh, but I do think it detracts from the "god-hood" of Kratos. I wonder if they will do it in Ragnorok or if they will drop that system since I don't recall it adding much. I'm fine with unlocking abilities and tools, but rpg style levelling doesn't fit GoW in my view.
  8. I completely agree @TheFlyingGerbil, would love an Uncharted that is exploring, puzzle solving, and running away from boulders, floods, collapsing temples... etc. with no shooty-bangs whatsoever.
  9. Haha, yeah, just being facetious. Shame you can't sell it to your neighbours, "mates rates" would still be a tidy profit.
  10. Obviously took lessons from GameStop.
  11. That is a lot of panels! Are you able to sell power back to the grid?
  12. Ahhh, existential dread, how I have missed you!
  13. I didn't think you came across as an ass at all fwiw, and I do think that we are all on pretty much the same page on this topic.
  14. I don't necessarily think "lazy" is fair. A lot of people in this country have to work three jobs just to keep the heating on. Asking that they spend whatever time they have left to make themselves aware of the deeper consequences of proportional representation voting systems, Brexit, etc is a big ask, especially when people who are paid a huge amount of money to think about this stuff full time don't have a straight answer. People want a simple, soundbite answers to complex problems because the system has them too exhausted to be able to deal with the complex, tedious, difficult solutions.
  15. I'm currently playing through this myself. It's... weird... I think it's good as well.
  16. This is revolutionary France stuff. They party in their palaces, while voting for kids to go without food, and leaving the poorest to freeze during a cost of living crisis. This is the sort of thing certain sections of the British public sneer at "third world countries" for.
  17. Oh yeah! Forgot these two. It's going to be a great year.
  18. Horizon: Forbidden West A brilliantly realised world, I hugely enjoyed the Zoid's and the ways to take different ones down. Apparently there are upgrades to human enemies which was really the only weak point in the game imo. Can't wait to see what comes next. God of War: Ragnorok Even if it is more of the same, I am hugely looking forward to taking down another pantheon. PSVR2 I thought PSVR was great in terms of accessibility, the only thing that let it down for me was the number of cables required and the fact that you had to sacrifice HDR (or 4K?) as the VR box didn't do pass-through. It sounds like the upgrade fixes all my issues with the original kit (especially the one usb c cable to connect), plus lots of extra upgrades like the controllers, inside out tracking, eye tracking make it sound amazing.
  19. Returnal I like the core game loop, but I just wish it was easier. I don't have enough time that I want to fail at the same thing over and over again until I "git gud". If it had a Hades style "God Mode" where each time you fail you get tankier, I would stick with it. But as it is, I think I am out.
  20. I kinda agree with you both, when I played through the first time, I thought it was quite long. NG+ went a lot quicker.
  21. Oh yeah, I saw the advert on their site for CES, so expect something big is coming.
  22. Let me know how that goes. I'm gonna be in the market for a new TV around the 55" mark in March next year.
