Where are you getting that it's as powerful as PS4/Xbone? The stuff I'm seeing puts it at only slightly more powerful than a Wii U, no matter what mode it's in.

Yeah, all that dark matter/dark energy foreshadowing was supposed to be related to why the reapers were coming, and they dropped it all when they fired the lead writer. Sucks too, because that was way more interesting than the whole "synthetics/organics can't possibly coexist" thing.

I'm just using "EU" to mean "Extended Universe", meaning anything not in the films. I am not using it as any kind of a value judgement, so the fact that some of the films are bad is irrelevant.

We already know Pokemon Stars is coming to Switch (Stars is to Sun/Moon as Yellow is to Red/Blue).

And if you're somebody who only wants to use it as a handheld then it's more expensive than if it couldn't connect to a TV. But the point of it is that it's both a handheld and a home console, so you only have to buy one thing to fulfill both purposes. And it is cheaper than buying both things separately. The VoIP stuff is dumb as shit though. As is the price point (as I said above I think $250 would have been the sweet spot). *Edit - Oh, also, the 32GB of storage cracks me up. That wasn't enough storage space back when the Wii U launched 4 years ago. I was expecting at least 64GB for the base version and 128 for a premium one.

Also the price. I thought they were going to hit it out of the park when it was rumored to be $250, but I think $300 is too high compared to the other consoles AND compared to other handhelds.

Meh, I don't think the joycons (stupid, stupid name) look uncomfortable, and if they are there's always that controller bracket thing to hold them. Having now watched the Zelda trailer, it does indeed look awesome, however I am very very much reinforced in my opinion that voice acting will detract from the game. Zelda's voice was terrible.

Well, that certainly freed up some money in my entertainment budget this year. Zelda, Mario, Pikmin and Pokemon are the only games on the Switch I'm even remotely interested in, Zelda I can get on the Wii U, Mario and Pokemon aren't coming out until this fall, and Pikmin is only a rumor (I know Pokemon is only a rumor too but it's a much more concrete one). Also, I am not sold on Mario Odyssey, that "real world" stuff is just weird and off-putting to me.

The EU is anything not in the movies. Most of it was made non-canon by Disney, Clone Wars and Rebels remain canon but they're still EU.

I read somewhere that studies have found that how late people get up/stay up/eat dinner/etc directly correlates to TV schedules, so since people in the Central time zone are on the Eastern TV schedule they do everything an hour earlier than people in the Eastern time zone do.
