  1. That's actually the "boxed" one (which will just be an empty box with the download code inside) because the discount only applies to physical game purchases, but they also have a download purchase available.
  2. Considering Japan Studio is owned by Sony, I don't think that's very likely.
  3. Yeah, according to Digital Foundry it runs like balls on a standard PS4, between 20-30 fps, and not much better on a PS4 Pro at 4k. They say the only way to get actual stable performance is on a PS4 Pro in 1080p mode. *Edit - Though at the end they do say it still runs better than SotC did on the original PS2, and I loved the shit out of that game even then, so it probably won't be a dealbreaker for me.
  4. Went ahead and preordered Andromeda since I get 20% off game preorders with Amazon Prime and my Prime subscription will be expiring before the game comes out. Figure I can always cancel it if I find it cheaper elsewhere.
  5. Also, if you go to the Andromeda Initiative site, sign in with your EA/Origin account and watch the trailers on there instead of Youtube or whatever then you get a free bonus helmet in the game! Exciting! (I make fun, but I've totally be doing it.)
  6. Bite is a dark-type move, and ghost-type Pokemon are weak to dark-type moves.
  7. I know it's a joke, but the game really does look like a remaster of a last-gen game. And not even an especially good remaster. I mean look at this:
  8. I love all the things she says that totally just sound like euphemisms for attacking and kicking out the natives in true colonial fashion. "Once the Pathfinders have completed securing these new habitats..."
  9. I've played all the Squenix Go games and they're all fantastic. My only complaint is that with Lara Croft and Deus Ex they abandoned the boardgame aesthetic from the Hitman one. I really liked that.
  10. The clockwork soldiers' comments are debugging recordings made by Jindosh, who was voiced by John Gegenhuber. I can't find any confirmation that he definitely voiced the soldiers, but I think it's a safe assumption. It's extremely difficult to take out the soldier's stealthily. The best way I found is to use the springrazors, and even then it takes two hits to kill one. And be careful doing it around humans if you're going for a clean hands run because sometimes the springrazor will just destroy its head, which deactivates it's IFF, so it will attack anyone around it.
  11. Titanfall 2 Haven't tried multiplayer yet, but the campaign was excellent. Despite it only being 6 hours I'd have been happy with paying $30 for it (which kind of I did but I don't count $20 of it because it was a gift card I would probably never have used otherwise).
  12. Started Titanfall 2, and I'm super enjoying it so far (the campaign). Also, the environments are gorgeous (though up close the textures leave something to be desired)
  13. Dishonored 2 I really liked it a lot, although the ending was kind of anticlimactic, even with the little epilogue narration by the Outsider. I don't think it helped that during the final encounter it wasn't made very clear what you were supposed to actually do, so that was a little frustrating and probably detracted from the experience. Overall though very good game. The only thing they did that I didn't like was that two of the targets are set up almost like boss fights (granted ones you can stealth), which didn't feel very in keeping with style of the rest of the game. They were well done for what they were, but it still clashed.
  14. I PM'd all the Secret Santa participants their targets, so let me know if you signed up and didn't get one.

  15. Thread titles is pretty self-explanatory. Probably no one will be getting any gifts for a while yet, but it doesn't hurt to put this here early.
  16. Okay, I just PM'd everyone their targets, so let me know if you signed up and didn't get a target. I believe the Steam sale is starting December 22 this year, so that should be when things really kick off, but if you find a good deal you don't have to wait. I would suggest at least waiting until your target has posted in the Wishlist thread though.
  17. Sorry, I didn't elaborate enough on what I meant: they fixed the problems with the ending that people mainly threw a tantrum about (specifically it's abruptness), but you are correct they did not make massive story overhauls to fix the fact that it didn't capitalize on a lot of the stuff they'd hinted at in previous games. Despite that, it is still a good game overall and the ending is no longer so terrible as to ruin the experience. *Edit - to elaborate further: originally the way the story ended was disappointing, and was presented horrendously. Now it is still disappointing (though slightly less than initially) and the presentation has been improved immensely.
  18. Forget about the tantrum about 3, they fixed the problems long ago. *Edit - Having watched the trailer now: oh, so we'll be fighting against Citadel races. That's boring.
  19. Glowforge is such an awesome name. Sounds like something from Star Wars.
  20. Everyone make sure I linked to the correct account for you in that post up there. Rudolph changed his so it broke the link (I've fixed it now), and I want to make sure I didn't get any wrong.
  21. Seems to me they're spending all their time and effort making cool looking trailers rather than developing a game.
  22. I always keep a save on the Wale just before starting the next level for just that reason. Also, I learned that from the pause menu you can check your stats for the current mission specifically, so if you think you may have been seen or something but aren't sure you can check that. That's how I learned that killing hounds doesn't count against clean hands.
  23. Managed to fix the weird stuttering issue. Apparently there's something jacked up with the in-game vsync, but I was able to get smooth performance by disabling vsync in-game, enabling it in my graphics card settings, and then setting the in-game framerate limiter to 60fps (setting it higher brings back the stuttering). I think the problem was that the in-game vsync option was syncing at 59hz, but the framerate limiter would only do 60fps, and it was the mismatch causing the stuttering. The graphics card panel vsync though is syncing to my monitor's 60hz setting so it matches up with the framerate limiter.
