So there's a bill that got through the state Senate (not the House yet) that does basically what I outlined above. This is new information to me though: among the groups that would have to start paying sales tax that did not have to previously (such as non-profits, which I already knew about) is the state itself. How does that make any goddamned sense? "I know, we can close the budget deficit by just paying ourselves. Brilliant!"

It's started doing it again. I tried the force refresh and it didn't help. It's doing the same thing with "likes" too. *Edit - Of course that post worked... Interestingly, edits have been working fine the whole time.

Don't worry, I'll vote yes too. Ideally Colorado could annex us, since they're the only neighboring state with any goddamned sense. Or Iowa, I guess.

I actually have a maxed out Thorn, and as soon as Xur gets back I'll be able to ascend it. I didn't realize it was considered good now, back when I last played it was kind of lame because it had a small clip and took so long to reload.

Poop, so it's gonna be a long time before I'll have all my Legendary weapons either ascended or replaced... *Edit* - Is the 32 PoE going to be doable at level 31? The reason I ask is because I'll have to get 2 more 36 Light armor pieces to get to 32, and they cost 120 marks each, and you can only get 100 marks each week... *Edit 2* - I may look at the Iron Banner despite the level issues, because if I could get one Etheric Light then ascending one of my old Legendary Armor pieces would be enough to bump me up to 32. Man, it's weird that I have Exotic Shards coming out of my ears, but Etheric Light is so hard to find.

You only get Etheric Light from the level 34 and 35 Prison of Elders challenges. What you'll need to do - besides getting lucky with etheric light from nightfalls - is do the 32 challenge to get an armor core and buy the new piece that Variks is selling each week until you can get a full armor set, where each piece has 42 light. That way you'll be able to get to 33 (I think an ascended exotic, one piece of Elders gear and two 36 light pieces will get you to that) and then 34. So, that can still take a couple of weeks. I thought you could get Etheric Light from the chest at the end on any difficulty?

Stuck it in an investment account. Diversified primarily between US stocks, foreign stocks, and bonds. The Kansas economy isn't seeing any of that money (or perhaps is seeing a tiny, tiny fraction that comes into Kansas by pure coincidence).

The thing that really bothers me is that now they're saying "Okay, to make up the revenue we won't start taxing business owners again, we'll just increase sales tax, because sales tax is more fair anyway." I have two issues with that: 1) sales tax isn't more fair, because the less money you have the higher the percentage you use on things that are subject to sales tax, so you actually end up paying a HIGHER effective tax rate, but even worse is 2) doing that means that now business owners don't have to pay income tax, only sales tax, while workers have to pay both income tax AND the new, higher sales tax. How is that fair in any way, shape or form? This rant brought to you by someone who directly benefits from this arrangement because he is a "business owner" and so doesn't have to pay state income tax.

What times did you put in the calendar? Cause the times are showing up as all wrong for me, but they're not the BST times either. For example, the MS one is showing up on our calendar here as 3:00 PM for me, but it should be 11:30 AM, and the BST time is 5:30 PM.

I'm having a weird issue where when I post it hangs on the screen where it's attempting to send the post, but if I reload the page then my post is there. It's happening on both Tapatalk (phone) and Chrome (PC).

1 - You should be looking for purples (Legendaries), they're the next step up from blues (Commons). And you can have one yellow (Exotic) armor and one yellow weapon equipped at a time, which are for the most part at step of from purples. If you find purple engrams then open them, but you can be buying equipment too. As far as blue engrams, if you've got alts that still need a blue armor piece in that category then I'd had it over to them to open, so they can get better gear too. Otherwise just open them on whichever character finds them. If you want to really try to be efficient you can open all your extra engrams on the same character to rank up your Cryptarch level faster, but that's more work than I'm willing to put into it. Purple and yellow armor engrams will give you a random class' armor piece, so it doesn't matter which character you open it on. 2 - I just break them down without bothering to level them up. 3 - Pretty much just for show.

S4. I'm keeping the S5 in mind, though I'd prefer to get a newer phone than that since I'm gonna have it for two years.

So I didn't realize that there S6 doesn't let you install an SD card. That's a dealbreaker. I'm ready for an upgrade in a couple months, and has been planning on an S6, but now I'm wondering what phones you guys like. I don't want one that's just enormous, so not something like the Note.
