Yeah, same issue with the cars, except with the cars there's no way to get them back that I could ever figure out, so it's pointless to upgrade any car but the default ones.

I have a bunch of tabs open and forgot which one I was on, so when I first read this I thought it was in response to the camping gear talk in the Post Your Purchases thread.

I had to make sure I hadn't picked SoM for my GOTY before "liking" that.

I feel like I understand "cheeky" in most contexts, but I have no idea how it could apply to going for a pint. I'm used to hearing a person described as cheeky for being like playful or bold, or playfully bold. Banter and ledge I got because, like GOH said, banter just means the same as its non-slang meaning, and I picked up from context that ledge was short for legendary. I just pointed those out as being part of the meme because they were both in so many different people's explanations and I thought that was too much of a coincidence.
-
I could follow most of those rambling explanations, save a few words here and there, but yeah it still didn't explain anything. I think most of it was just part of the meme. All the stuff about banter and some dude being fucking ledge.
-
So from what I gather Nando's is a restaurant and the rest of it doesn't really make sense because it's a meme and most memes don't make sense.

Okay, I remember it sucking, but I don't remember it being so bad you shouldn't be able to pass it after a few tries...

Ubisoft has officially ditched support for PS360 (except for Just Dance, which basically doesn't count). As someone in the comments on that article observed, Xbox 360 and PS3 managed to last longer into this gen than Wii U did.

So, that carriage driving looks all kinds of dumb. I think this'll be another one where, like Unity, I hold off for a sale. I do like how the horse has the fortitude to smash through a metal lamp post and keep right on sprinting.

Nice, my ISP just upped my monthly data cap.

Looks cool, hope it's not online only. As far as VR goes, I wish there would be a standard on PC (and I'm sure at some point there will be), but I feel like proprietary ones for console was inevitable.

Yeah, there were some great parts, that part you mentioned being one of them. So yeah, it had some really good bits, there were just too many things that seemed dumb for me to call it a really good movie overall. *Edit - But as I said, it was still entertaining, it wasn't aggressively bad and I don't regret watching. I gave it 3-stars on Netflix, which according to Netflix is "liked it".

Just stuff like what you mentioned, about how they continued to hang around open windows, that kind of thing. The stuff that was dumb enough that I was laughing at was mostly decision making stuff, "we should do x", not their in-the-moment reactions. I can't think of specific examples off the top of my head, but I know I laughed a few times throughout the movie at things I don't think we were meant to laugh at. Not something that made me laugh, but just struck me as odd: I do agree that stuff like the just standing around screaming during the initial bit seems pretty realistic.

What a weird coincidence, I watched that movie on Saturday with my wife and my sister and her boyfriend. I would have just put it in the "okay" category though: I was laughing out loud at how dumb some of the parts were, but overall it was entertaining enough. I also completely disagree that any significant portion of their actions are realistic. I mean, I get that in a situation like that you're going to be freaking out and not making the most intelligent decisions, but even really simple, obvious stuff like "stay together" seemed too much for them to manage.

Sunset Overdrive: Dawn of the Rise of the Fallen Machines. Overall not as neat as the Mooil Righ, though it did have a little bit more content so that was nice. I have now completely exhausted this game. I'm sad it's over.

Sunset Overdrive: Mystery of the Mooil Rig. It was more Sunset Overdrive, which is what I wanted, and I really liked the level design of the rig; it had a lot of levels and cool ways to traverse between them. It ended a little abruptly though, I would have preferred there to have been more content.

I liked DA2 okay, it wasn't near as bad as I expected based on the reaction, but it wasn't as good as DA:O.

Assassin's Creed: Victory confirmed to actually be Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. Set in Victorian London, all the characters will have French accents.

I played a little bit past the swamp into the city, before finally giving up on waiting for it to get good. Then I watched a recap of Witcher 1 and started Witcher 2. I was enjoying Witcher 2 a lot more than Witcher 1, but it just didn't hook me for some reason I can't put my finger on. Like, I was enjoying it fine, and then I finished a play session one day and just never had the urge to pick it back up again. I made myself pick it back up again and continued to enjoy it fine, but after I stopped that day the same thing happened, so I quit.

This is how I prefer it: write it so that it can stand alone if necessary, and then put the sequel hook in a stinger.

It sounds like you evolved from a crazy person into a sensible one.

Agent Carter did? Nice. I was a little worried about that one.

Sunset Overdrive season pass. Finished the main game and still want more. Plus I had like $42 in XBL credit (I have no idea where it came from, because I did not have nearly that many points when the points expired, and there haven't been any weird card charges from MS either). *Edit - Oh FFS, apparently MS charges sales tax now on XBL purchases. Lame. I mean, I assume they're being required to do it, not doing it out of the goodness of their heart, but it's still lame.
