    Yeah, I think describing it as having been in development hell is kind of an overstatement, as it was just a game some guy wanted to make, not in actual development.

    Yeah, from 3rd parties who have had a chance to actually mess with it it appears to give about a 15% boost in performance (caveats galore). Not a magic bullet, but enough to make up some of the GPU gap with PS4.

    From what I can find it's about as natural as the Google Maps navigation voice on my Android phone: pretty good most of the time until it starts saying numbers/street names with NSEW in them/etc.

    All he said was that the RAM isn't going to be the thing that makes or breaks the card, not that there is no usage scenario in which it's an issue.

    How does the continuity work with the previous movies? Would I need to see them first? I'm just skeptical about how watchable a movie like that from 1979 would really be, but I'd like to see the new one.

    Yeah, I never start working based on age alone. In theory solid state components should never wear out (though obviously in practice they will eventually).

    I anticipate I'll be building a new computer by the end of 2016 at the latest, I'm just not quite there yet.
