I'm about 5 months from an upgrade and also getting antsy. I've pretty much got my eye on the S6 though.

The DLC is how they make any money off the series at this point. I skipped most of the ME2 DLC and don't feel I missed much. I know, that was just a rough estimate for the ones I would want. I just went and price-checked, and getting Kasumi, LotSB, Arrival, From Ashes, Leviathan, Omega and Citadel, which are the ones I would want, would cost $74. So I actually way under-estimated how expensive the DLC would be. Not gonna happen. I'd probably buy the whole trilogy with all DLC for $40 though.

I will be a very sad panda is there no Dishonored 2. That's literally the only thing they might announce that I care about (other than some potential new IP I don't know about yet).

I would have bought the Mass Effect trilogy on PC a long time ago if they would release a goddamn version with the DLC, but I am not going to get the trilogy for $7.50 and then have to spend another $45 on DLC.

Yeah, unless they confirm the AI armies at this point I'm resigned to it really being Battlefield: Star Wars, which is not at all interesting to me.

I remember the campaign thing from Battlefront II where you play as that division of Stormtroopers. That was my favourite bit.

I take games out of the backlog once I feel like I'm done with them, regardless of whether I actually "finished" them or not. For some games that means I've never even played it but I've realized I'm probably not ever going to and I'm okay with that.

Maybe I'm just lucky to have a good ISP, but I'm skeptical about that since I live in the Middle of Goddamn Nowhere and only have one real option for broadband.

I quit when DA:I came out and for an unrelated reason I had no free time, and then I just never picked it back up again. At this point I'm waiting til House of Wolves drops, at which point I'll play through the new content and probably drop it again.

Yeah, but I think you'd have to go WAY into the future, several thousand years at least, before the different options become blurry enough that you don't need to distinguish between them.

But if we're looking at 6-7 years before next gen rolls around broadband status in the US could be a lot different. It's certainly a lot better than it was when around the time of the PS360 launches.

Yeah, the lack of insurance or something similar made upgrading any but the default cars a complete waste of money.

That's an interesting outlook that I can kind of get behind. It worked so well that they felt like they needed to stick to that formula. Thankfully they started experimenting a little with Skyward Sword, and it looks like they're going to do even more of that with Zelda U.

You know, people have been foretelling the end of discs for a couple generations now, and I've always been skeptical, but I think it could actually happen next gen.
