  1. Okay, this is pretty badass. Destiny is pretty hard due to the latency, but Shadow of Mordor is great, so I think as long as a game isn't super twitchy remote play should work wonderfully.
  2. I actually got a surprising amount of that considering I don't understand Japanese. Got that he had had a bad breakup and that it was critiquing anime sexness.
  3. Aha, I knew you could do that generally, but it didn't occur to me to try it at the base because they're not in your party.
  4. How do I apply upgrades to my party's equipment? I can't have them in my party when I'm at the main base.
  5. I didn't run away from combat, but it did frequently turn into a chore. "Alright, I'll just sit here countering for the next 5 minutes while I kill all the 45 dudes in the area until I can actually do something fun." Running away never seemed like a viable option either, because the enemies are so persistent that stopping and fighting them was just easier, and the actual act of running away wasn't particularly fun.
  6. Hello Jesse! Welcome! Take off your shoes and stay a while!
  7. I'm about 8 hours in and also very much enjoying myself. I've exploited about half of the first area I think.
  8. Dangit. I use my PS4 on a computer monitor so I'm all of 3 feet away from it, so for me it's no problem to play with it plugged in.
  9. Does anyone know if there's a way to use touchpad functionality with a DS3 when remote playing a PS4 game via a PSTV? I'd prefer not to have to resync my DS4 every time I want to use the PSTV, but not having the touchpad button makes things difficult.
  10. I'm just saying that AC1 combat was slow, and they gradually expanded on it until they ended up with main characters being complete killing machines and realized it had gotten out of hand.
  11. Yes, games are supposed to be fun, but that doesn't mean that they should use any mechanic that's fun, regardless of how well it fits. FPS's and kart racing games can be fun, but that doesn't mean it should have FPS or kart racing segments.
  12. The problem with combat before was that it was easy. You're supposed to be a stealthy assassin, not a one man army who just runs in and kills everyone on the way to your target. In prior games if you got spotted the easiest thing to do was just fight everyone, but that's not how they wanted the game to be. I would argue that this new combat system is an objectively better choice because it fits with the themes of the games so much better than the old one did, regardless of the fact that it makes combat less fun.
  13. It's funny to me how the Wii U had like 1 year of superior multiplats.
  14. My only complaints with the game so far are 1) what you said about the cursor not being able to go over/through barriers, and 2) that you can't set very detailed AI programs.
  15. This is the first Final Fantasy game I'm interested in since VIII...
  16. Throw on another $5 for my time, since most of the time I spent on it was time I would have otherwise been aimlessly browsing the internet. Yeah, I bought DA:I digitally too, since I have no reservations about it.
  17. $45 after shipping. When I bought the digital version I got the deluxe, which saved me $5 off the expansion pass, so the whole transaction cost me $10.
  18. That's what I did with Destiny. *Edit - Except for the cheaper part. I just didn't want to have to keep swapping discs.
  19. Dat math. God damn. Even botched this is incredible. Yeah, watching that blew my fucking mind. Like, this thing is basically just a rifle bullet fired in such a way as to exactly hit a target 10 years later and millions of miles away.
  20. Well all those numbers I gave are yearly, but you also have your monthly insurance premiums. Medicare is tax supported, but it's only for people over retirement age. Medicaid is also tax supported, but it's only for low income people (welfare, basically).
  21. Yeah, like on ours right now we have a $750 per person deductible, but even once we hit that we still have 20% coinsurance until we hit the out of pocket maximum (I believe $5000 per person). So even if we'd already hit our deductible, a procedure that was billed at $5,000 we'd still have to pay $1,000 of.
  22. Conveniently my office's server is being replaced tomorrow, which means we're down all day, which means I basically can't do anything, which means yay Dragon Age!

@FDS you use tour off site /backups/ live?

Yeah, we do have offsite backups, but as dean suggests the backups aren't worth much for live work.

You don't have backups that you can turn into live files? Eh, sounds like an upgrade of some sort was definitely needed.

  23. But was that his copay, or was that coinsurance, or was it an uncovered service?
