I know I'm going to have to have at least my left knee, and probably both knees, replaced at some point. My only goal is to make it long enough that the replacement knee is better than my original knee.

I get the fiddling's on me, I've said that several times, but I'm taking about my person reasons so there you go. As far as prioritizing different things than me, I mean they'll do stuff like turn down resolution when I would have turned down shadows or whatever.

Everyone knows a penis is pointless until it's in a human. Or writing your name in the snow.

But it shows a disdain that is troubling, the same as when a dev releases a PC port where it's obvious they just didn't even try.
-
The resolution isn't the point, the point is they explicitly said they were making the PS4 version shittier to keep it in parity with the Xbone. If they'd said "We can't make it 1080p because X Y Z" or "We're prioritizing whatever so we have to reduce the resolution" then that's fine, but that's not what happened here.

I've been thinking though, and it would be difficult (though probably not impossible) to design a Moria that's conducive to the same kind of climbing traversal.

Yeah. And the article I read said the 6th circuit also has two cases before it, and they think it's fairly likely to uphold them.

I use the apps to get a starting point, and then fiddle with it from there. *Edit* - oh, also, my one hour downtime thing was to make exactly that point: it wasn't bad. I mean, it was irritating at the time, but no worse than other platforms I've used. Though (other than Destiny) I don't end to play online games much so network downtime doesn't really stop me from playing my console games.

So today the US Supreme Court declined to hear appeals from 5 states in 3 circuits which had ruled that you can't ban gay marriage. This has the effective result of legalizing gay marriage not only in those 5 states, but also in 6 additional states with gay marriage bans that are in the same circuits, so 11 states total. This is because those circuit court rulings are now the law in those 3 circuits, so any challenges to gay marriage bans there should be successful. Counting these 11 states gay marriage is effectively legal in 30 states, and the 9th circuit is expected to overturn gay marriage bans any day, bringing it to 35.

@Dean: I know those apps exist, but 1) they're not perfect at it, 2) they prioritize different things than me, and 3) it doesn't fix my overwhelming urge to fiddle with settings to get it just right. On console there are no options so I have no urge to fiddle and can get on with just enjoying the game. But like I said, I realize this is a problem with me and not the platform specifically.
-
I have only had a problem with either of them one time, last Christmas when I was trying to play Splinter Cell: Blacklist, there was like an hour long period where I couldn't connect.
-
I fully acknowledge this is my own issue, but I'm so perfectionist about getting games adjusted just so that on PC I end up spending more time screwing with graphics settings than I do playing the game, especially at the beginning when everything is getting going. At the moment a PC in my price range isn't enough better than the consoles to justify dealing with that hassle.

There's only one alien.

Let me know how that works out for you. I can buy that the CPU limitations means you can't run the sim at 60 fps, but what the fuck does that have to do with the resolution?
-
Hey, I loved Jumanji as a kid, and everyone knows that there are no better judges of movie quality than small children.

I can't do it tonight. Sorry. The way to cheese the Phogoth part though is to have one person hang out just outside the room where the Griever spawns (the side opposite Phogoth's chamber). The enemies won't come all the way in, so you're safe and there's no way to party wipe as long as someone's staying there, and you can kill the enemies from there until Xyor shows up.
-
Sure. The room where your ghost is decrypting the runes is by far the hardest part of the strike, and there's a really easy way to cheese the Phogoth part.

Having played more, I think the 10 years comment refers to how long ago Hirgon deserted, and the events of this game take place immediately after the prologue.
-
Yeah, I think that's right, cause he mentioned "these last 10 years" the very next mission I did after sayingi hadn't heard about that.
-
Can you transfer your demo save or do you have to start over?
-
Yeah, the pacing issues some reviews mentioned could go either way for me, they might bug the crap out of me or they might not bother me at all.
-
I've put it in my buy-it-when-it's-$30 list.
