That was something I liked about Murdered: Soul Suspect: you could get distracted and go off and do side stuff right during the middle of an investigation.

I played a little bit of the first one on PC and loved the atmosphere but the shooting felt off to me. I'm waiting for the redux to get to $20 to try again.

They've had several full retail games on there on 360, it's just Xbone that tends to get smaller titles. I second the Gone Home recommendation though. Just be aware that it plays like a first-person point-and-click adventure.

The only time I've ever liked a line like that was in Chaos Theory, when Sam assumes you fail the mission after 3 alarms like the previous two (a much hated feature), and Lambert goes "No, this isn't a video game." The only reason I feel like it works in that one is because they're making fun of their own past mechanics.

Apparently clan features have been turned off until release date. You can still join the group, but we may have to re-join the "clan" when it launches (groups and clans are related but distinct).

Context-sensitive stuff is never going to be perfect. More broadly, this looks like a true beta to me: if you want while he runs down the street, he's clipping through a bunch of the pedestrians. There's no way they'd leave that in the final game.

A related peeve of mine: news site that post videos instead of written stories. If I wanted to watch someone read me the news I'd go watch TV. It's even worse when those videos auto play.
