Games You've Beat 2021 - PXoD's Excellent Adventure
TheMightyEthan replied to MetalCaveman's topic in General Gaming Chat
I've got that sitting on my shelf, it'll probably be the next thing I play after I'm done with Death Stranding. -
They haven't really changed Plus, but it's also half the price of Gamepass (and even less if you get it on sale).
-
My wife and I watched that a couple months ago. She'd never seen it before, and I hadn't since I was a kid. I agree it's pretty good.
-
That restores some slight amount of my faith in our country.

More like 10 minutes. I can download on my connection at 20-30 MB/s, and installing off a disc tends to take about 1/2 to 2/3 as long as a download. But yeah, I mostly use discs because I mostly play singleplayer story-driven games, so when I'm done with them I can sell them on and put that money towards more games.
-
Yeah, you have to, you can't play straight from the disc. It depends how big the game is, but the drive's pretty fast, it doesn't take as long as PS4 certainly. I was able to clear up about ~230 GB though just by deleting stuff that I had sitting on there in case I ever wanted to play it but that I wasn't likely to play anytime soon.
-
So when everyone was talking about how the next-gen consoles didn't have enough storage space, I was like "since I mostly only play one game at a time, this won't be an issue for me." Well...

Sounds like work to me. ? -
I was really surprised that PSVR didn't make me sick, as I'm usually prone to motion sickness. I've had no issues though. I wonder if taking off the light shield also helped with your motion sickness, by letting your brain see the real environment around you, which will of course match the movement sensations in your inner ear, that might lessen the effect of the display.

There were only two Republicans in the Senate who objected to certification. It was a majority of them in the House, but then Senate there was almost no backing for it. And the Senate is where he has to be convicted.
-
Sorry, this is incorrect. Removal is automatic if the person is still in office, it's the disqualification that they have to vote on.
-
Sorry, I don't think I explained what I meant very clearly. You're right, they do have to convict him in the Senate to vote on barring him from holding office again. But what I meant was since the trial won't be done until after he's already out of office, a conviction won't remove him from office, he'll already be gone. I think that might make it more palatable to Republicans, because they won't be removing a sitting Republican president from office, they'll just be barring him from running again after the fact. *Edit - Didn't see @Thursday Next's post. Yes and no. A 2/3 vote of the Senate is required to convict him, but once he's convicted they then vote on what the punishment should be. Removal and barring from further office aren't automatic, and the Senate doesn't have to impose them if they don't want to.

Yes, I cannot explain why I like it, nor can I explain what the game is to anyone else without making it sound boring as hell.

I think I fucked myself over in trying to play Bloodborne by doing this. Bloodborne is still hovering in the back of my mind as something I'd like to play, but every time I think of actually playing it I'm like "yeah, but I'd rather play Death Stranding instead".
-
It's actually not that many Republican politicians though, most of them have either remained silent or said they support impeachment. The people saying you can't impeach him are the few complete crazies in Congress (like Ted Cruz), or non-official right-wing commentators. Hell, even Mitch McConnell reportedly supports impeachment, though he hasn't said it publicly. Most of the establishment Republicans actually hate Trump, and want him out of the party, they've only supported him publicly because it was politically expedient to do so. Well since last Wednesday his approval rating has hit all-time lows of 34% (which is still shockingly high), but even more telling is that he has a 63% disapproval rating. That's insanely high for an American president, and it means there's only 3% of people in the "undecided" category. So I'm hoping this impeachment will given them an out, where they can convict him, and bar him from ever holding federal office again, without having to actually remove him (because he'll already be out of office by the time the trial is done). It's also the safest time to do it, because it's literally as far from the next election as you can possibly get. I don't know if conviction is actually likely, but it's definitely possible, which is far different from last time he was impeached (I still can't get over how insane it is that I have to say that).

No, you can target what's straight ahead of you, or you can cycle through targets with a button on the controller, and I also have an option turned on where if I shoot at something it will automatically target it. I played the whole game in 2D though, and now playing in VR I'm finding being able to look around dramatically improves my situational awareness. Also it's cool as shit.

I started Bloodborne last night. I got to Old Yarnham, found a hidden ladder, circled around and opened a shortcut gate, then got killed by a big ol fatty with a big ol cleaver. I got him down to half health, so I thought I'd try again (plus I wanted my blood echoes back), and got killed again. So then I quit and played Death Stranding for a little while. Unlike the other two From games I've tried though (Dark Souls 1 & 2), I actually keep thinking about Bloodborne and want to go back, so it's possible I'll stick with this one, at least for a while.

It's crazy how much progress you've made.

I haven't played it yet, it's sitting on my shelf still in the shrinkwrap, but my understanding is they've backed off a lot of that stuff. And they brought back social stealth! -

Thank you! I'm glad to finally find someone else who agrees that the change in style for Origins/Odyssey was not an improvement. -

Yeah, a cord labeler would be nice...
