  1. My favorite part is when he smashes the glass in the diner.
  2. I don't get to see it until next saturday.
  3. I'm not even arguing that it would have been better to capture bin Laden, I'm just saying "you might regret not doing it" isn't a good reason to kill someone.
  4. I'm not defending Yasser Arafat, or saying that it would have been wrong to kill him, I'm just saying it seems completely ass backward to say that you should kill an enemy because you might regret not doing it. It just seems like a really cavalier attitude to take toward the decision about whether to assassinate someone (it's assassination even if they're a terrorist). lol
  5. Did you sell the 360 versions of those games? Or why are you picking them up again?
  6. No leader wants to live with the regret of not ordering an assassination... Wow. Just wow.
  7. Yeah, the Kickstarter says they're not getting enough contributions to keep up with new releases let alone update pages on older games, but I think a large part of that is a lack of awareness of the site. As more people learn of the site's existence I imagine content creation will pick up.
  8. No, besides being flipped the arms on the galaxy taper differently in the two icons.
  9. It's not quite exactly the same , and there's only so many ways you can make a iconized spiral galaxy.
  10. I've said this numerous times, but I would even be okay with them making it so that unlocking a specific character was like 10x as expensive as the most expensive random pack, I just think there needs to be SOME WAY to unlock a specific thing. The worst part about it is that because you can unlock the same character multiple times it doesn't even become more likely over time that you'll get the character you want due to elimination of options. It's a Skinner box, but the rewards are far too sparse for it to be effective.
  11.        Even I have to admit, that shit's funny. As for the first part, just because you disagree with something doesn't mean you have to completely disregard anything useful that came of it after the fact. I would say that we shouldn't torture people, period, but say someone went rogue and tortured captives anyway, and learned of a plot to blow up New York or something, it would be a complete dereliction of duty for the authorities to just completely disregard that information because it's tainted by the method used to obtain it. Using the results of a bad thing to accomplish a good thing is not itself bad, and it's not condoning the bad thing .
  12. I couldn't care less about appearance customization beyond the default options, I want more actual content. It was the lack of unlocking real content that got to me.
  13. http://endless-space.amplitude-studios.com/ Just saw this on the Steam news. Indie 4X space game. Looks cool. Pre-orders get access to the alpha right now. I'm definitely thinking about getting it, but I'm going out of town for a wedding this weekend and I'm doing my best to follow my new rule of "only buy games when I want to play them right now", so we'll see if I still want to play it next week.
  14. No, "World Trade Center" is the complex. It's street address is something on Greenwich.
  15. I'm not going to defend the Occupy people, I really don't have any idea whether on balance they're upstanding people or not, I'm just pointing out that the article you linked did the exact thing you were complaining about.
  16. "One World Trade Center" is the building number/address.
  17. I like how you say the media smeared the Tea Party with little evidence and then link to an article that makes sweeping generalizations about Occupy with little evidence. Yes, obviously what those people tried to do is terrible, but that article just says that it's representative of the group as a whole without giving anything to support that.
  18. I agree. I played enough to get every class except Vanguard to max level, so I played the shit out of everything. It took me a long time to lose interest, but eventually I did. *Edit* - I actually got Adept to max level twice because I stupidly promoted it the first time.
  19. To be fair, that's pretty bad hearsay. The reporter who submitted the story to Yes! Weekly spoke with a pollworker who told him that that's what she said. This is not a direct quote. *Edit* - The Yes! Weekly article has a transcript of a video that's supposedly to show the words aren't being taken out of context, but the video is just of the pollworker telling the reporter that's what Brunstetter said, not of her actually saying it. For all we know the pollworker is intentionally twisting her words, or just flat out making shit up. *Edit* - On the other hand, for all we know the pollworker is quoting her perfectly verbatim. The point is you shouldn't take it as fact that she actually said it.

    Apple

"Rock Band for iOS will remain live – the in-app message users received yesterday was sent in error," a representative for EA told us. "We apologize for the confusion this caused. We're working to clarify the issue that caused the error and will share additional information as soon as possible." http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/03/rock-band-ios-not-canceled/ Translation: It was sent on purpose but then people flipped the fuck out so we changed our minds.
  21. I prefer to just use words that mean what I mean.
  22. I agree with you HH, but my favorite class is Asari Adept so that's the one I wanted to play, and it got really really frustrating that I kept not unlocking it.

EA's a bunch of dick holes. So is Apple.
  24. The only unlocks I really cared about are classes, and after playing it for some ridiculous number of hours and still not unlocking the classes I wanted I said "fuck it" and quit playing.
