  1. I saw the Avengers and it was good, but it wasn't super amazing like everyone else seems to think. I don't regret seeing it, but I still have no desire to see it again. I think to some extent it was a victim of its own hype for me. One thing I was wondering the whole time:
  2. Real life didn't already teach you that?
  3. That sounds like a reasonable position to take...
  4. If/when I get it it will probably be PS3, but I don't plan on that being any time soon.
  5. MS will give some teaser about the next Xbox, but won't say anything too specific about it. It will probably be announced at the end of the show, after they've spent the whole thing focusing on the 360. Might announce it for Holiday 2013, but I doubt they'll be even that specific. GTA V to release in October 2012. @Strangelove: they already confirmed third party characters for PS Smash Bros last week on GTTV.
  6. I played through the Jurassic Park game which was not very good, and then part of the Back to the Future one which was terrible, so I'm quite skeptical of your claim that this one is really good.
  7. Yeah, I think the best you can do in a bad economy is convince people that it's slowly getting better, cause they can just constantly think "okay, so even though it's bad here now, it will be better in a couple months" regardless of whether that ever actually pans out.
  8. Yeah, the only time I ever watch disc content on a computer is on my laptop when I'm travelling, and that's only if I don't have a good enough connection for Netflix. *Edit* - Still crappy though.
  9. My favorite part is when he smashes the glass in the diner.
  10. I don't get to see it until next saturday.
  11. I'm not even arguing that it would have been better to capture bin Laden, I'm just saying "you might regret not doing it" isn't a good reason to kill someone.
  12. I'm not defending Yasser Arafat, or saying that it would have been wrong to kill him, I'm just saying it seems completely ass backward to say that you should kill an enemy because you might regret not doing it. It just seems like a really cavalier attitude to take toward the decision about whether to assassinate someone (it's assassination even if they're a terrorist). lol
  13. Did you sell the 360 versions of those games? Or why are you picking them up again?
  14. No leader wants to live with the regret of not ordering an assassination... Wow. Just wow.
  15. Yeah, the Kickstarter says they're not getting enough contributions to keep up with new releases let alone update pages on older games, but I think a large part of that is a lack of awareness of the site. As more people learn of the site's existence I imagine content creation will pick up.
  16. No, besides being flipped the arms on the galaxy taper differently in the two icons.
  17. It's not quite exactly the same , and there's only so many ways you can make a iconized spiral galaxy.
  18. I've said this numerous times, but I would even be okay with them making it so that unlocking a specific character was like 10x as expensive as the most expensive random pack, I just think there needs to be SOME WAY to unlock a specific thing. The worst part about it is that because you can unlock the same character multiple times it doesn't even become more likely over time that you'll get the character you want due to elimination of options. It's a Skinner box, but the rewards are far too sparse for it to be effective.
  19.        Even I have to admit, that shit's funny. As for the first part, just because you disagree with something doesn't mean you have to completely disregard anything useful that came of it after the fact. I would say that we shouldn't torture people, period, but say someone went rogue and tortured captives anyway, and learned of a plot to blow up New York or something, it would be a complete dereliction of duty for the authorities to just completely disregard that information because it's tainted by the method used to obtain it. Using the results of a bad thing to accomplish a good thing is not itself bad, and it's not condoning the bad thing .
  20. I couldn't care less about appearance customization beyond the default options, I want more actual content. It was the lack of unlocking real content that got to me.
  21. http://endless-space.amplitude-studios.com/ Just saw this on the Steam news. Indie 4X space game. Looks cool. Pre-orders get access to the alpha right now. I'm definitely thinking about getting it, but I'm going out of town for a wedding this weekend and I'm doing my best to follow my new rule of "only buy games when I want to play them right now", so we'll see if I still want to play it next week.
  22. No, "World Trade Center" is the complex. It's street address is something on Greenwich.
  23. I'm not going to defend the Occupy people, I really don't have any idea whether on balance they're upstanding people or not, I'm just pointing out that the article you linked did the exact thing you were complaining about.
