Ooh, I love strategy RPGs.

According to Wikipedia we produce about 7 million barrels of oil each day and import another 12 million, for total consumption of 19 million barrels per day (that's fucking mind boggling... though I just checked and a single supertanker can carry 2 million barrels, so that's not all that many tankers, not even counting pipelines). The oil that we aren't working is because at current prices it's not economically viable to work it, not because we want to hoard it (though we do have the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, but that only holds 36 days' worth of oil, not exactly a long term fallback). *Edit* - Just saw in that same article I linked that maximum draw from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is 4.4 million barrels a day, so it can only replace about 1/3 of our daily imports. Though it does mean that even though it only has 36 days' worth of our total consumption, it would actually take 158 days to completely drain it. Still not a long term solution, it's intended more as a supplement for temporary supply disruptions.

Like I said on Duke's status, anything to make a candidate seem like a fun and likable person is a bonus for them. I know he's not a candidate anymore, but Herman Cain's appearance at Stephen Colbert's Rock Me Like A Herman Cain rally, as well as the interview he did with John Oliver on the Daily Show on Monday (especially his speech to the people of earth following a hypothetical alien invasion) both did a lot to make me like him. Hell, the same even goes for Bill O'Reilly's appearance on the Daily Show to talk about the $4 shrimp. If you can make it so people like you as a person then they're a lot more likely to vote for you.

You definitely level up skills and stuff. I feel like I remember reading about armor customization but I'm not 100% sure.

Something can be illegal without being a "crime". Basically the idea is that it's more effective to try to deal with it as a medical/psychological issue that requires treatment rather than trying to deal with it as a criminal issue that requires punishment. Dealers/traffickers/etc? Totally should be dealt with criminally. Users not so much.

Yeah, I understand why they're not there, but they need to do something to make them easier to hold. I haven't used a Vita, but a large part of the problem with the PSP was that it was so heavy that the normal grip I use for like holding my phone sideways or holding a DS doesn't work because it slides down. *Edit* - A rubberized surface would actually probably help a lot, so it wouldn't slide as easily.

Well putting aside the government aspect, I don't think you have to be a religious person in order to feel compassion/be compassionate, so compassion isn't an inherently religious concept/emotion. That's really what I was getting at. Back to the government: if you want to be super technical you can pay someone to act in a manner that would appear to indicate/be consistent with them feeling compassion. Also, while policies/programs are inanimate and abstract, and therefore obviously can't actually feel compassion, they can be created or implemented by people who do so because of their own compassion.

Yeah, I could never find a comfortable way to hold my PSP for the same reason. I'm not retarded enough to try to palm it, but even in just your fingers there's nothing to grip, especial because in some games you index fingers have to remain on the shoulder buttons which means they can't be used to hold the thing.

Though I think season 8 is the best overall, I will agree with Strangelove that the seeds of the show's inevitable decline were planted there.

I don't remember the movie that well, but in the TV show he was the primary antagonist of the Avatar and his friends (though he was a protagonist in his own little sub-plot, with the Fire Nation hierarchy being his antagonist). In the movie did they turn that admiral guy into the main antagonist?

I enjoyed it, but definitely felt the plot was lacking. As far as Loki goes, he was evil because he was jealous that for his entire life he's always been in Thor's shadow, the lesser of the two brothers. Kind of a lame motivation, but he does have one.
