  1. On Illium an Asari who's met the Rachni queen will come talk to you if you saved her, and say that the Rachni are rebuilding and they will help you in your fight when the time comes (presumably that means ME3). There's also a news report on Omega about several ships reporting sighting vessels of unkown make that resemble records of ancient Rachni ships. If you didn't save the queen then those things don't happen.
  2. I didn't mind her in ME1, but then in ME2 she was a total bitch and I was like "Fuck you, I'm sleeping with Miranda now."
  3. Because of the First Amendment, which in addition to normal freedom of expression specifically protects religious views and practices. Religious institutions get free passes in America, always have, and that's not going to change any time soon. @Thursday: The issue isn't free expression, it's free exercise. It's pretty well established in American law that you can't compel someone to do something that violates their religion outside of a few very extreme circumstances.
  4. That guy had a really annoying manner of speaking, especially at the end.
  5. But the issue (at least for the Catholics) isn't that they can't stop their employees from using the thing they believe is sinful, it's that they're (or were, they aren't anymore) going to be made to pay for it.
  6. My only dead person on any of my playthroughs is Kaiden (except the one playthrough where I wanted to romance Kaiden, in that one it's Ashley). That's really stupid that there's no way for PS3 players to have Wrex alive.
  7. Civ V download for $7.49: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004774IPU/?tag=64bo-obpsa-20
  8. I still need to play Witcher 1, and THEN Witcher 2 (I've gotten both as gifts during Steam sales). Really really want to play them, I just need to find the time...
  9. It sure as hell (no pun intended) isn't clear to me. Saying it is doesn't make it so. If it were clear why on Earth would anyone willfully hide from that? It's not like the idea of going to Hell sounds like fun, and I don't know if even House is stubborn enough to do it just to be difficult. If I could choose what to believe I would certainly choose to believe in God, because as is often pointed out that's the safer bet. But my beliefs are the product of the information I've been exposed to and my brain's conclusions based on that. I can't choose to believe it any more than I can choose to believe in the Force. I may want to believe it, but that's not the same thing. Belief is an involuntary act.
  10. Yeah, that's the one I was thinking of. I liked it a lot in single-player because it reminded me of the DMR too, but it just wasn't doing enough damage in coop.
  11. I'm with Hot Heart, I don't care much for competitive generally but I am all over any kind of coop. Is the Mattock the one-shot rifle? I liked it a lot in single-player, but I didn't care for it in multiplayer. By the time I unlocked it I already had a scope for ARs so its accuracy wasn't much better and its low rate of fire meant I couldn't do nearly as much dps as I could with the Avenger.
  12. Well, I keep unlocking weapon and mod upgrades, just maxed out the Avenger, got sever other guns on level IV, so I guess eventually there won't be anything for me to unlock BUT more classes.
  13. @HH: Yeah, I want Krogan Soldier too. Seriously, give me the ability to spend 100k credits to unlock it, I will be all over that. *Edit* - @Vargras: Yeah, I can't roll on my Turian Sentinel.
  14. If that's what it means (which I thought was the more probable interpretation, I was just asking for clarification to be sure) that doesn't make it any less horrible on God's part to set it up that way for two main reasons: 1) it's not exactly an informed choice, when there are many different religions which often have conflicting views on what is necessary to get to the good afterlife (whatever they call it) and it's not as if there's any obvious way to determine which is the right one, and 2) there is no crime that could possibly be committed in one's transient time on Earth that could in any way justify an eternity of torture. Caveat: this is all assuming one subscribes to the idea that Hell is torture for eternity.
  15. Yeah, I don't like the random unlocks. Turian Sentinel is the only non-human class I've unlocked (and is actually the only non-default class I've unlocked period). @SixTwoSixFour: I've been doing great with my Sentinel, and while yes other classes have warp and overload, only the Sentinel has both, and that's a deadly combination. And I've just been leaving my tech armor on all the time, once you upgrade your powers to have reduced cool-down it's not too bad, I can use a power, unload my SMG, and by the time I'm ready to reload my cooldown's over and I can use a power again.
  16. No soldiers. My first time playing anything other than soldier. One dude quit at the beginning of the game. Amazingly enough, we still won.
  17. So is that to say that you believe that even once in hell one can repent, and thus in that sense they hold the key to their own prison?
  18. I can't claim to know what kind of "person" God might be, if one exists, and I don't see that there's any reason He wouldn't be a dick. What I do know, though, is that such a god is not one worth worshiping.
  19. Yeah, in the same way that unlocking the same gun again gives it an upgrade, unlocking the same race/class combo again unlocks some more visual customization options and gives it an XP boost.
  20. Adepts can get mad points with singularity+warp. That biotic explosion is brutal.
  21. I've seen a couple adepts in the pub groups I've joined.
  22. I'm with dean, I'd like them to have specific purchases in addition to the random box (although I'm fine with consumables only being in the random box). I mean, they could make it so you can buy a pack for 20k credits with a chance of unlocking a new race/class combo, or you could just straight up pay 50k or 75k to unlock it directly. Hell, they could even make it so you can't specifically buy race/class combos till certain levels, but you could unlock them from the random box at any time. I just don't want relying on a random box to be my ONLY way to unlock the race/class I want to play. It's like the Steam Christmas sale: it seems like a cool idea at first, but then it gets frustrating because you only ever unlock shit you don't want.
  23. lol, I guess I wasn't explaining it very well, because that's what I meant at first: it's morally ambiguous to pirate a replacement, not to crack an owned disc.
  24. I meant I don't care about ME1's DLC. That DLC wasn't that great. Pinnacle Station specifically was super lame.
  25. Yeah, it's getting pretty freaking ridiculous.
