  1. Hello, At the risk of sounding like an asshole, I've been noticing some new slang popping up in Seattle that my out-of-town friends don't know of, so I was wondering a bit about slang that develops in small regions, particularly in the United States. So some of the slang I've heard in Seattle is: Dip(verb): Suddenly leave, Urgently depart: "Dude, cops! We gotta dip!" Hecksa: I've heard hella and hecka, but not hecksa outside of Seattle. Grippa: Many, very: "I'ma get grippa chicken nuggets up in this bitch!" Bareknuckle: A form of street brawling common amongst party-folk, a fight club-like activity of mindless, friendly combat. The Borg: Used when referring to Microsoft. I like this one. That's all the really unique stuff that comes to mind. Anyway, to the point: 1. If you've heard of these, would you please post if so, where in the world you heard it, and from which kind of group (teens, etc.) 2. If your area has local slang, please post that as well. I know this is weird, and again, if I sound like an asshole, I'm sorry, but I needed a friendly environment to test this out in, and I thought this would be cool.
  2. Jesus fucking Christ, FFIV is on its THIRD enhanced remake, but nobody can release a damn Phantasy Star remake instead of making shitty, unsuccessful pseudo-mmos? It would be so easy for PS4! That game had no outstanding flaws, and if they just updated the graphics, it wouldn't feel archaic at all, except for maybe its difficulty.
  3. That's how I live. On the razor's edge of infinity.
  4. I'm Brain, an attorney out of work, going back into the ad business after a while out of it, and I live in Seattle. I play most of my games on the PC, and I used to play most on my PS3, which I still hop on pretty often for Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, and occasionally MAG. I also play Rift. Das me. Edit: Outdated info, changed for modern times!
  5. Nope. Looks like it, cause they were both on the NES, but FFIII has the job system, so you can have the same classes as FFI
  6. III. The original NES version. People cite IV as the step from low-quality non-story driven RPGs into the modern age, but I would say that's actually III. In fact, as seen in XII, the aspect of not being the main character but seeing what world-changing events happen around you is seen often in RPGs today, and that definitely, definitely began in the first two-thirds of III. Look at my avatar. FFIII forever. 2nd Place: FFVI 3rd Place: FFXIII
  7. YHVH from Shin Megami Tensei II. It feels awesome killing God. And by God, I don't mean pussy-ass DQVII God, not like "Ho-Ho-Ho, good job on beating me!" God, but totalitarian, evil dictator, floating yellow head asshole god.
  8. I'm hoping for HL2 with Episodes 1 & 2. I've only played them on the Orange Box on my PS3, and I want to replay them with the cinematic mod. For today I bought the GTA Complete Edition, just out of some sick obligation. Oh, and MNC, which I don't have any friends to play with, unfortunately.
  9. So could someone explain the title of Demon's Souls to me? Is it just a case of Engrish? Do they actually mean Demons' Souls, or is the primary antagonist some sort of many-souled abomination?
  10. Baldur's Gate 3. Kind of a played out choice, but yeah. My hopes for as to why Bioware's changing up the formula so much with DA2 is that they plan to release BG3 sometime soon and don't want to have two identical games on the market. Could just be wishful thinking, though.
  11. Ugh, this Steam sale has generated such an immense backlog of games for me to play. It's awful. In other news, in a desperate effort to combat jet-lag, I've been up for 40 hours.
