  1. You know what I learned on Kotaku today? Arguing with stupid people is HARD.

Like the saying goes, arguing on the Internet is like the Special Olympics, you might win, but you're still retarded.

Who was the argument with, and what was it over?

Well arguing with stupid people is hard because they bring you down to their level

  2. Shinobi III... on iPod touch... must clean pants.

  3. Stay away from SMT games? Whoever told you that was a liar and a cheat and awful. Never talk to them again.
  4. Well, I need some PC help. I have an M11X R1 (it has a C2D processor), and it can pretty easily run ME2 on max settings between 50 and 60fps. Yet, when I play Mass Effect 2, the framerate drops into the 10s, even as low as medium settings, and Mass Effect PC on Low is so ugly it's unplayable. So why is it that I can easily run ME2, but ME1 brings my computer to its knees?
  5. Is Septerra Core good?

Nice appraisal process you got there, Smooves. :P

Remind me to ask for your opinion whenever I'll have important decisions to make.

My copy is full of audio glitches, even back when the cd was brand new, but I have never read about others having such issues. I would assume such problems would be fixed by now. The game has average production values, but the story itself didn't seem all that bad. I never finished (plot kept getting audio-skipped) though, so I guess keep that in mind. The fighting is ATB with three levels; especially in the beginning of the game, you'll be waiting on your bar a lot. The characters ha...

I guess I have to rewrite the last part...

The characters have distinct abilities and and you'll pick out your favorites early on. The game is very long and some dungeons are obnoxiously time-consuming. If you're a fan of ATB and more traditional RPG standards, as well as a story with some politics peppered on top, I'd say this is well worth 5 bucks.

  6. I'm not too optimistic about the portrayal of Bane in this movie. While the Dark Knight was a perfectly good film, I was sorely disappointed with Heath Ledger's Joker. Not to say he was a bad villain, but the villain Ledger played simply wasn't my ideal Joker. The Joker, to me, is this sort of clean-cut, non-sleazy guy who makes a bunch of bad jokes and is just batshit insane, rather than a glorified anarchist in uneven makeup.
  7. I din't mean to make you cry... If I'm not back again this time tomorrow...
  8. I'm really, really really sick. Also, I need to get into the RIFT beta... somehow.

  9. The one with the partially obscured logo is Dragon Quest VI. Played that game in Hong Kong, and after a few yeras of playing no games whatsoever, that really got me back into games.
  10. Dead Space is much, much scarier than I remember.

As long as you have a gun, there's a limit on how scary it can be.

People say that, but knowing the odds are in your favor gives it a 'If I die, I fucked up' element, which isn't present in Amnesia or Penumbra. In those games, if you die, you can just be like 'oh, well, I don't have a weapon.'

In Dead Space 2, there's a moment where your bond and have to run away from Necros. Well, at least that's what was in the GT review. The first has that beginning where you run to the elevator, and when the doors opened, I was scared.

  11. Started playing my old PS2 again, and am reminded I lost out on a lot of games that slipped under my radar. My list is constantly fluctuating, so this is it for the time being. 1. Digital Devil Saga 2. Final Fantasy X 3. Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne 4. Capcom vs SNK 2 5. Kingdom Hearts 2
  12. Yeahhh, I've been there. Just play Uncharted 2. You'll change your mind.
  13. Playing SSFIV again, and I CAN'T manage to do a double quarter circle to the right. This shit is ridiculous, I can't use Dhalsim's super!

  14. If you're in a bad mood, just listen to this song.

  15. Wait, a game that ISN'T a COD clone?! Blasphemy!
  16. Oh, Frosted. You and your ridiculously awful beverage choices. Anyway: TaB>Any Diet Soda, Kingdom Hearts 2>Any Other Game.
  17. Only just got back from snowboarding... did a front flip and severely sprained my wrist.. But at least I did a front flip.

  18. Snowboarding. I'll probably crash as soon as I get home. I had wanted to finish my Kingdom Hearts playthrough I found on my old PS2, but meh I guess.
  19. Sweeney Todd was awful. My mom's visiting, and she watches a lot of Bollywood, so... My cup runneth over with bad film.
  20. Unlike God Hand, though, Viewtiful Joe got a sequel and a spot on MvC3. Two sequels and a spinoff (Red Hot Rumble) Wait... you consider Double Trouble a sequel?
  21. The only reason people don't spend 100% of their time thinking about how awesome Samurai are is they sometimes forget they really existed.

  22. Pixies and Bob Dylan are my favorite bands. Anyway, this:
  23. To me, the worst part of Kotaku is when someone comes up with a very well-articulated, non-provocative complaint against the site, and they respond with a clever, but useless response.
  24. Um... wow. The editors just went on an un-starring rampage, just because some users made comments they didn't find funny. What is this shit? http://kotaku.com/comment/35797165/
  25. Grrrr! Noveria and Feros are glitching out like shit on me! It's going to take some work finishing this Mass Effect playthrough... All that's keeping me going is the prospect of playing ME2 again. I'll soon be with you, Thane.

I actually 100%'d ME1 in about 15 hours for the perfect level 60 character for ME2. Very fast paced. Only used pistol. Skipped conversations. No conjunctions.

      Chewblaha

Skipped all but Vigil and Sovereign. Very mellow. Very good scenes.
