  1. Replays of these: Mass Effect 1 Digital Devil Saga Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne Final Fantasy VI and I'm gonna start playing E.Y.E., which was a gift. I'm excited!
  2. http://trailers.appl...s/wb/thehobbit/ EDIT: Added Youtube version, because I suck.
  3. I just realized how many upcoming releases there are. I'm gonna replay MEs 1 and 2, and also replay both Bioshocks.
  4. Yeah, I probably should have posted here. I finished the game. It's fantastic. My 3rd favorite game of this console gen, really fantastic.
  5. http://mumbai.burrp.com/listing/rice-boat_bandra-e_mumbai_restaurants/15049059 http://www.kaayal.in/aboutus.htm Two of my favorites in Mumbai and Bangalore, respectively. I believe the one in Bombay has since shut down, though. Also, I disagree regarding Kannadiga food. Coorg has some of my favorite food in India. Now, I'm a stickler for this kind of thing, and my entire family from the area prefers the term 'Keralite'. But, in terms of what it's called within India itself, hell, outside of all areas except Kerala, it's called 'Keralan' food or 'Kerala' food. That's just the way it is. I've been there quite often, and I just spent three months in Bangalore this summertime. Anyway, payasam is delicious, but I prefer it North Indian style (kheer), like my mom used to make.
  6. My pronunciation of English words varies depending on the country. It's easiest for me to assimilate with whatever accent the region I'm in has. After I get back to America from spending time in India, Singapore or Hong Kong, though, my accent becomes quite noticeable, and when I talk to a Singaporean, I immediately lapse back into Singlish, "Why you hang out wit him? Dat boy, very blur one, lah!" I could never pronounce 'Descartes', either. I speak French, and pretty damn well, but for some reason, I always end up pronouncing 'Descartes' wrong. Like, 'Dess-cart'. I think it's mostly a mental thing. I have never, ever met anyone outside of my immediate family from anywhere other than Arabia and Northern South Asia that can pronounce my name, either. Nobody. I feel special!
  7. It's a griddle. Plain and simple. A dosa is basically a savory crepe from South India. But, really -- you're English and you don't know what a Dosa is?? WTF: Are you Indian, an Indophile, or just enjoy the food? I'm from Kerala, by the way, and 'Keralan' is a totally standard thing to say. There's some variation within Kerala (my dad's from the North Malabars, so I'm best at making Malabar stuff), but it's similar enough to group it all together. The term 'Keralan food' is prevalent all over India, it's only within Kerala that you'll see people distinguishing between regional cuisines. I mean -- if we're picking nits, I take issue with people saying "Karnatakan", "Rajasthani", "Maharashtran" or "Tamil" cuisine. My point is, "Keralan food" is used all over the world, and it's kind of weird to take issue with it being called as such. Anyway, more stuff I make. I got thinking of South India, so I love me some rasam, just in a cup, to drink, puli inji, puliyogare (Iyengar style), olan and tindora. My father started teaching me to cook when I was seven or eight, and I often cooked for the family. It's one of my favorite things to do. My range extends far outside of Indian cuisine, though! I'll post here, again, later with stuff from other parts of the world.
  8. I'm a well-rounded cook, and I cook for almost every meal. Being from India, I do enjoy cooking Indian food, and am fairly skilled at it. I'm also a big fan of southeast asian food, and make nasi lemak and laksa often. Oh, hainanese chicken rice, too. (I spent a good part of my childhood in Singapore) Also, I eat Bihon, too, Tenshi! But I normally use it when making Hokkien Mee. The smells remind me of my youth. I mean, I cook a lot of stuff. I need variety. These are just a few of my favorites.
  9. I bought the Ocarina of Time 3D / Fucking Sick Zelda-Styled 3DS bundle for $119.99 after trading in my DSi. Then I bought a Wii Motion Plus, since soon enough I'll be getting Skyward Sword. Also, Red Orchestra 2. And the Humble Introversion Bundle. EDIT: How could I forget Ultimate Marvel? Yeah, I got that, too.
  10. Yeah, HP Lovecraft was a racist. Like, a huge racist.
  11. I have Dolphin working, but I don't have Motion Plus. No Skyward Sword for me until I buy Motion Plus.
  12. Look, guys: Bat just stated his opinion and didn't insult anyone, or behave in a rude manner. Is downvoting someone when you just disagree with their opinion a good way to use the function? Bat's post is just of a differing opinion, and while there's nothing wrong with (in fact, you SHOULD) responding to his post, if you disagree with it, blindly downvoting is a bad practice. Remember, the upvotes and downvotes go towards someone's "Reputation" on the forum. Should Battra have a bad reputation just because he has some beliefs many of us disagree with? I say no. In terms of the conversation, I think both parties have their fair share of drooling morons, and don't like associating myself with either one, but I find myself agreeing with many of the progressive policies Democrats back. However, the current landscape makes real progress of any sort far more difficult than it should be, and I think only radical change will bring about any real movement forward. I don't much enjoy any of the presidential candidates, but, as of now, Obama seems like the way to go, to me.
  13. I fucking love Mega Man. My favorites are, in this order, Mega Man 3 Mega Man X Mega Man Legends Mega Man. Mega Man is awesome. The words 'Mega Man' sound weird to me now.
  14. I picked up UMvC3 today on PS3, and will be playing it with other forumgoers. Anyway, fucking fighting games, man. Some of the best memories in my life are associated with fighting games. While living in Hong Kong, I went to an international school, and I didn't know anything about Cantonese, until I started going to an arcade in Mong Kok. Almost every single day for the rest of the two and a half years I spent there, I went in that arcade and played MvC2, and later 3rd Strike for at least two hours a day. As a result, MvC2 is my favorite fighting game of all time. And, yes, I'm one of those guys that's pissed off that Mega Man gets no love. Alas, after my unfortunately brief time with fighting games, they made a departure for my life altogether, with the exception of CvS2 (the best fighting game of all time), until fairly recently. When Marvel vs Capcom 3 launched, I returned to the genre in full force, thanks mostly to my fighting game rival and fellow forumgoer SixTwoSixFour. I bought an HRAP 3 stick, and we started playing MvC3 and SSFIV together, with a few more people joining us, later on. Fighting games mean a lot to me, and I'm glad to be playing them, again. We should all play at some point. I main Dhalsim in SSFIV/AE Yang in 3rd Strike Mega/Wolverine/Akuma in MvC2 Wesker/Akuma/Super-Skrull in MvC3 ???/???/??? in UMvC3
  15. I'm picking UMvC3 up tomorrow, even though I'm deep into Skyrim. AssRev isn't really a priority for me, though the setting certainly does seem interesting. I'll probably buy it next month.
  16. My favorite theory is that Varys and Illyrio are Blackfyre loyalists, Aegon is a Blackfyre heir and Illyrio or his wife were (possibly) Blackfyres.
  17. I bought my 360 from Radioshack. I don't think people know they sell consoles there, so it was the only place I could find a 360 in the holiday season of 07.
  18. I just finished my Lord of the Rings re-read. The ending's kind of melancholy, and has set the mood for my day.
  19. Skyrim. Dark Souls. Earthbound. and on Tuesday, UMvC3.
  20. I think that's fine. Not 'douchey' at all. Try and get them to pool together, or something, though, because just getting cash from people is a bit weird, but with a group collectively pooling for one purpose, it's fine. Note: I'm not saying these semantics are reasonable. They're entirely arbitrary. Too bad the world's full of stupid people who care about this shit.
