  1. I just finished reading Isaac Asimov's The Currents of Space. It was good, but it doesn't compare to his best work (the early Foundation series). Next up is A Pebble In The Sky.
  2. I'd share it with someone I trusted. I don't share it with anyone right now.
  3. Cheaper than transferring every guild member separately, I'm sure. Which happens.
  4. Oh dear god what skullcandy.
  5. I eventually decided against it. And I would have legally purchased AC2 if it weren't for the DRM - I know a place that sells AC2 white edition (PC) for roughly 20 dollars.
  6. Not enough UST. Take out FDS, insert Connor.
  7. Sure, the style was a big part of it, but gameplay first, really. I just hope this is less of an atrocity than SSX Blur

    TAY Podcast

In all seriousness though, I have little faith in that our mad ramblings could make an entertaining podcast. EDIT: It'd 15 to 20 minutes of everyone trying to figure out my accent, and then the rest of the show being me and Dean arguing about some petty detail =P
  9. Fallout 3 and New Vegas had this problem too, where characters would change voice actors mid-conversation. Not nearly as often though. I encountered it all the time in Oblivion.
  10. Can I petition that we keep the pony instead of Shep? Shep's face was getting REALLY old.

Johnny you're too late. It's something we've been discussing anyway. Maybe not the Tim Rogeres bit mind, but different banners now n then.

I think we need different faces for monday to sunday.

  11. Mass Effect 2, femshep is some of the best I've ever heard.
  12. You, sir, are utterly deranged.
  13. *shrugs* I don't think I've ever been in a situation where every part in my PC was worth upgrading. If it's the hard drives, the GPU, CPU, motherboard, RAM or whatever, I'll save in where I can. Also I've had the same chassi and DVD drive for over six years, now.
  14. I've not used it in like a year, but I think the latest gaming-related was the 1680*1050 Dragon Age wallpaper I was commissioned to get a friend. Cut-out Morrigan from one of the official wallpapers on a black background. I also have several other versions. With/without the Dragon Age logo and with a black bar on the bottom to make it look better with transparent taskbars. Links, in case anyone cares
  15. What the hell is with everyone's fascination with a "new" PC? It's not any better because you replaced all the parts, people!
  16. Day 13: so many... I'll just list the one I've played most times Klonoa: Door To Phantomile
  17. If anyone is having a problem with people not replying to you on steam: restart it. You're appearing as offline for everyone else.

  18. Well, personally I'd say Planescape: Torment but that's really not a game for everybody. I think the closest thing to a "game for everyone" I've played is Assassin's Creed 2. But I'm probably biased because I'm currently playing through it. In any case, that's my answer.
  19. Hehe. One can't really blame lack of customization on consolification. Not when it comes to shooters. I think the only franchise that ever did it in the first place before the console fps explosion was Battlefield. And as I remember, that wasn't very robust.

    Guild Wars

Well, Tyria is plenty big and varied enough for the base game to start in. I'm sure we'll see the other areas in expansions down the line. Which brings up another point - a lot of people have likened the expansions in GW1 to a subscription fee, because you need to buy them all to play the full game. I'd say, sure, that comparison is somewhat valid. But it's also much cheaper in the long run - there are now three base campaigns and one pure expansion for GW1 - and if you're thinking of starting up your account again, you don't have to pay a sub fee to just install it and mess around before you're sure you're gonna be playing. I know for myself that it's far more likely I'd still be playing WoW or any of the other MMOs I've tried, if I could just jump on whenever without having that ticking clock and a subscription fee over my head. The most recent example of a game I'm not gonna resub to, but might still be playing had it used the GW model, is DC Universe Online.

    Guild Wars

GW1 was highly enjoyable even on a casual level, so I'll definately be interested in this. However, I have no idea how they are handling cross-continental play in this one, if they are going to support it at all. In either case, I'd be highly interested in being part of a TAY-based guild; european or international.
  22. I'm on a complete media blackout for Bioshock Infinite. I know I'm gonna play it, and I want to be as blank as possible about it going in.
