  1. So is it okay if I buy a game and then don't play it at the same time as I let a friend copy it to his hard drive and download a crack? I think I have five or six games lent out to various friends right now. The only reason I usually say "no" is if I don't trust that I'll get it back easily. Honestly I think the way BioWare does DLC is pretty horrible and takes me out of the experience a lot, not to mention that the quality of their DLC usually isn't up to snuff (Shale from DA:O excluded) so I'd rather they don't do it at all. But that's a different discussion entirely.
  2. Wow. Just wow. Fuck me, wow.

I dreamed of a Minecraft LotR but... HOLY FUCK.

Now we need one of A Song of Ice and Fire. :3

Woah, the dedication required to build something like this is pretty impressive! This is still my favorite Minecraft video ever, though.

      IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL.

  3. Most trailer analysis is pretty crap in my opinion. Usually it is not possible to make any accurate statements that aren't also apparent on first glance to the viewer of the trailer. For the record, nothing amazing about killing the guy with the flashlight who wasn't shooting. The player just shot at the middle of the flash. EDIT: Unless your "trailer analysis" is to point out the exact names of weapons and veichles in which case... that's still pretty pointless.
  4. In my friends' social circles, swearing is not considered taboo at all but is still used to signify the strength of the emotion conveyed.
  5. Megaman Legends was fucking terrible and there is no market for a third game. Get over it.
  6. So Cap is good then? I want to see it, along with Thor and X-Men: First Class.
  7. Well you did ask... I think it would be hard to wank over the game harder than that video is doing and nearly all the analysis is regarding how many E3 awards it won, a few UI elements, and how much score different kills give. All in all I don't think there was much of substance at all.
  8. I hear 10/10 on the cover is more impressive than 9/10
  9. Not known; not surprising.
  10. You are exaggerating your example to the point of absurdity. Overuse of the word "fuck", just like overuse of any other words, will make your speech sound repetitive and boring. Overuse and repetition limits your range, not the specific usage of a swear. Leaving out swears from your use of language is limiting as well. As for kids overusing swears... It's just a form of rebellion. If swears weren't considered "bad" by their parents and teachers, they'd find something else to rebel against.
  11. That depends what you're counting. I have a PC, X360, DS and PSP. The person below me has not heard of the Civilization board game from Fantasy Flight Games before now.
  12. To people who keep calling out "first world problems": you're complaining about someone complaining. First World Problem if I ever saw one.

      WTF

What about people from third world countries who move to first wold countries and then tell the first worlders that you guys are whining about nothing? I don't they're being flippant, they're just speaking from experience of course :). There's many shades to every argument.

Labelling them as 'first world problems' would still be wrong. They would be 'problems of a different type that just happen to occur in a first world country' =p

      WTF

lol oh you so PC HH. But still I do believe those who've experienced a different lifestyle for a good portion of their life are most eligible to complain since sure they've made it now but they are talking from experience (however they'd be too accustomed to their new ways if they stayed here for too long that it'd be harder to readjust).

  13. 1TB USB3.0 2.5" external hard drive. Cost me about 130 USD / 80 GBP / 92 EUR
  14. To everyone complaining about TF2 being filled with noobs: That was how I felt all the time when playing long before it went F2P. The TF2 playerbase has never been halfway decent.

I'm still not wrong though - I already felt like the community was so terrible at the game it made it unplayable. I don't think I've ever seen another soldier make a clutch rocketjump to the cart in order to push it the last inch or avoid it starting to push backwards. It infuriates me when my teammates aren't playing tactically.

  15. Yes. Ehm. CDs. I can totally afford my whole music library in actual legal CDs *hides hard drive* I'd love a music streaming site if it was reliable, had a good interface, and all the music I care about. Grooveshark ALMOST does the third of those, but it's interface is sluggish as hell and it's servers are sometimes clogged enough that streaming becomes unreliable.
  16. I've spent nearly every day of my life in a Scandinavian country. (you guys need to learn to check so nobody responded before you, geez) The person below me has never heard of Nujabes.
  17. mflow is not available in Sweden. I'll stick with keeping a music library for myself - my current music library's got ALL of my list.
  18. I do not know much or anything about Rdio
  19. I would urge everyone to stay away from Spotify unless all of the following is true for you: 1) I only listen to mainstream bands* 2) I don't care about audio quality** 3) I am happy to pay out my ass for this service*** 4) I do not care about actually supporting the artists**** *A vast amount of artists do not exist at all on spotify or only have a small piece of their work available on the service. The following is a small list of some artists or bands I personally enjoy that have a large amount of their music missing or are completely absent from Spotify: Aphex Twin - Only has a fraction of his work availble. Machinae Supremacy - First two albums nowhere to be found C418 - Only the Minecraft album is available Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip - 1 of 2 albums missing Deadmau5 - Only his two latest albums and a few singles are available Nujabes - Completely missing Pendulum - Hold Your Color is missing Tool - Completely missing Tsutchie - Completely missing I could go on. ** The audio quality on spotify is inconsistent as fuck, especially for non-paying users. *** Spotify's free service is completely crippled. Aside from the constant audio ads, you can only listen to a track up to 5 times per month, and a total of 20 hours of music per month (10 hours per month if you've been a member for more than 6 months). **** The revenue artists get from spotify is almost nothing. It has been said - by actual musicians - that Spotify gets artists significantly less revenue to artists compared to ANY comparable service. Quite frankly I'm disgusted by this. I was disgusted at how many people happily jumped aboard when it launched in sweden, disgusted when it rolled out into the rest of europe, and still disgusted now that it's launching in the US. If you really need a streaming alternative, I would suggest Grooveshark. If you want to support the artists in a real way, go to their shows and buy their albums. If you just want to look up an album before downloading or purchasing, you can use youtube or grooveshark. Just don't give these guys more money for providing you music they didn't create. I don't see how this - apart from legally of course - is much different from paying for piracy.
  20. Dual Monitor Land, yay! The leftmost will probably be confusing to anyone who doesn't follow competitive StarCraft 2. Meaning, most people.
  21. Now I hate to be a downer but there's something that has been bugging me about the whole concept for a while: Wouldn't it be truly shameless to just play whatever you want to play regardless of what your backlog looks like? Purpousefully going through your backlog feels more like... shameful gaming month.
