I want a malamute so I can call him/her Mal. From what I understand, they do fine in warmer climates since while they are insulated, it works both ways so they don't get as hot as say, us humans. Shade and water and they'll be rocking. Every winter I can go up to see some snow since I think they freaking love the snow.
  2. I'm holding out for the PC version, whenever it comes out. I just feel like slowly putting my PS3 to bed.
  3. Guys, we're going to hunt sasquatches.
  4. http://grrm.livejournal.com/327569.html Now that is THE Iron Throne. It actually can have a thousand swords of Aegon's enemies who fallen during the Conquest. The World of Ice and Fire (and TWOW, of course) cannot come fast enough... next year.
  5. After playing Cube World, I want a game where you climb a really large cliff. The cliff will have ledges, caves, mobs and crappy faces to deal with. It is kind of inspired by "The climb" in Game of Thrones.

I just read an article about Cubeworld and now I want it, but I cannot justify $20 for an alpha.

If that the case, I suggest to wait till before a price increase. You'll get more content for the same price. One thing I'll say though, while Wollay has been brick wall when it comes to communication, what he released is quite polished. Not to say there isn't some glaring issues... and him being a brick wall doesn't help. It would help ease concerns but from what I've seen so far, I'm willing to put my trust in his vision of the game.

Wally... what have you done? You know this isn't good for my mental health since I drink and all...
  7. Minecraft in the Annie May thread? More likely than you think!

    Cube World

Think of the overall game right now as more as Minecraft Adventure mode. If anything reminds me of Monster Hunter (Disclaimer: I never played a MH game but I watched it plenty of times) it has to be the crafting. That fucking bar. Then there is the part of killing boss monster for stuff to power up your gear. You can watch for yourself to get a feel for the game. I personally need some folks to play with. Hint hint...

    Cube World

Well, I've been playing it a lot which caused me to neglect Rogue Legacy and FF XII... so that says something. I'll say its Monster Hunter x Minecraft x Skyrim. While barebone right now, it is rather polished for what it is. At the moment its all about exploration and hunting quests. Not much else. Though a lot of stuff can be refined and expanded on (yay alpha!). As for how it runs on MacBooks... from what I heard, the game at the moment is putting most laptops to the test. There is also a weird AMD GPU problem where it may cause the card to run at max thus overheating (Limiting the framerate should fix it). I personally don't see it though. Since it is just Wolly and his wife... a year at best for the Mac version but I think it is safe to say that it will not come because it is just Wolly and his wife. There is too much shit to do for two people. So far demand for the game seems high so hopefully it'll come out okay...
  10. I feel a bit terrible for putting on Islamic call to prayer as I walk into a desert in Cube World.

  11. The folks around my town were generally alright but then again I think they understand the concept of "See those yellow hills down yonder? Yeah, those will burn mighty well this year.". We don't need another 19 dead.
  12. I killed him last night. Once you get a pattern going, Sir Ponce isn't that hard (Though a barbarian helps). Clockwise circle, more or less. Sure sometimes I had to drop down to the fiery balls filled depths but it was fine since I played Touhou so its all good! WaS, wait till you get the Guardian cape. I squealed like a child when I saw it in the smith's place. Its a fair amount of defense. Single digit damage on myself is a beautiful thing to see.
  13. So far its not bad it sure has potential. But fuck the community.
  14. Jesus, get on my lev- I don't even know what anime it came from.
  15. So I was fighting the second boss with a hokage. I fought it till we were on our last sliver of health and with the the little skulls closing in, it was down to an all or nothing charge. I died and it won. BUT! I just got the death avoidance trait that gave me 1% chance of reviving. It kicked in and thus I slew him as I rose back from the dead, with me out deading a fucking flying skull.
  16. I was about to start some Evening Dying with Mal featuring Rogue Legacy but I guess not. Audio doesn't want to play ball.

I reached a point that my stats make me do as decently in the forest area as I do in the castle area. I might be tackling the forest boss in a day or two.

  18. The amount of butt hurt with people not being able to purchase Cube World is hilarious. Good thing I grew up and became a varied gamer. I can wait. Now to go to work and then come home to FFXII and Rogue Legacy.

      Check the thread I made.

  19. You can just grind out the first dungeon. Most special chests and all hidden chests will puke out runes. If you're lucky, you'll get stats boosts. The flying rune gives you 0.5 second of flight. As always, it stack (I think). Put it with double jump for a fine tuned landing adjustments. Though, don't think about down striking while flying. It doesn't work.
  20. The down strike and the flying mechanics are frustrating. While I can activate it 100% of the time, it is too short in duration. Just a bit too early you'll be hugging the enemy. Not to say that I can't hop on the enemies. The flying rune got me hurt and dead a few times. Might be due to how on my settings but I'm trying to fly forward but it sends me on a downward glide towards spiked floors. Movement as a whole is fine though and yes, it is a bullet hell at times. "Don't get hit" rooms with eyes dawg.
  21. Spell Thief might be pretty useful for the second boss if you get the a spell that can penetrate multiple enemies and hit multiple times. Each kill will net him more MP to continually deal out the damage. You'll see what I mean when you die in its room. UNLESS you can beat the boss to submission quickly. My barbarian almost managed it but yeah, ded. While the shinobi and the lich are great classes, I find that the Archmage is the best. Spell cycle? Hell yeah. May not be able to take hits much but he can sure deal it while remaining safe.

    Broken Age

Some enormous amount of feature creep going on. Its fine to add stuff from the extra dosh you got but come on. I think this is the part where "stretch goals" come in... it is essential the feature creep but solidified. You'll know where you stand with any extra money. I'm looking at the Kickstarter now, it is pretty much "the sky is the limit" when it comes to adding stuff on. Add in a creative mind and well, it'll be bad and we get this. Edit: Also I never really taken a look at the Kickstarter but yeah. It totally is a "come up with it as we go" scenario. Doesn't seem like even DF eve knew what exactly they were making. It was just a point-and-click adventure game. Edit edit: Seems like they really started work on the project after it was fully funded. So yeah, the problem. Compare this Kickstarter with Massive Chalice. Massive Chalice got shit planned.
  23. Shot gunning out all my thoughts since I'm tired... I just branched out and started to focus on the upgrades such as health, defense and offense. I didn't bother with the blood armors since I like my health and you really need every point. You should try out the forest, it is the next logical area for you to go to. Do it for the possibility of getting a better sword or even better armor. With that said, the first boss has a pattern and I think you can beat the boss without getting hit. Double jump and the flying runes really help with the boss. Again, level means NOTHING. Being a dwarf is good since you can get into tunnels and shit. Look out for blacken out floors and such. Edit: Protip: As a Lich King or Lick Queen, do not spam Y (special move). I reduced myself to 1 HP... and the class can be powerful (can permanently increase HP with each kill).
  24. So far I'm digging it. Production value on this is quite damn good. OCR sure has gotten better (they were good before).
