Actually, if I read correctly from one of his tweets, books are coming. Along with custom paintings. Guess I will have to look out for pixelated porn now. And I think that amount of maps is enough at the moment since most worlds don't see pass two months of life. It could be a problem though when a server, as you said, has tons of people and last for a very long time. So pretty much when Minecraft is "finished". Maps on walls... hrmm.

If they do direct download only... I wonder how big the files will be. I seem to recall MGS4 and Killzone 3 weighing in around 40GB. That is around 1/6 of my Comcrap monthly bandwidth allotment. Yes, yes... they will compress the data but man, I sure hope they give us a 1TB drive or at least have an option to put in more than one HD... but then it sounds too much like a PC. Hrmm...

Eh, its not greed. I think when it comes to legality of things, he's saying yes to whatever his lawyers are telling him. The lawyers are paid to do what they can in the best financial business of Mojang. Not sure how Carl I think, the CEO, plays in all this. I doubt the rest have much say in what goes on. Hell, I think they see the stupidity of the last move but they just can't say it to their boss' face. But yeah, what's best for the company's finances and IP isn't what best for its image... and image is worth far far more.

Aren't the 360 and PS3 running in at a half of GB of RAM? Maybe if they bump it up to 1 or 2 GB then maybe we'll see a marked difference in bootup and make it flow better in just the menu screens for each. I always found it funny how slow they can be. And of course we'll see a difference with better CPUs.

Lets see how much longer this goes. For sure the PSN Plus folks will get some free time and for sure its not just what they lost. At minimum it will be one month. If I was in Sony, I would say 2 months at the moment. Then with each passing week, one extra month. I'm having a bad feeling that this might extend for two weeks... and at the point I don't think Sony can even get away with not letting the free folks have something. Man, it has been such a nightmarish last few weeks for Sony. From the Geo-whatshisname thing, to the subsequent retarded Anon thing... at least I can hope Sony will have a beefier security after all this.

Yeah, those folks who has PSN Plus will need something in return for the almost a week of outage. PR, Sony, PR... Not sure about us free folks.

With that, I think Nintendo can benefit from going out of cycle with the rest. Come on, who here doesn't think thew Wii, while a good console, is a bit under powered? Of course, it will lose in the long run with Sony and Microsoft coming up with beefier consoles to combat whatever Nintendo rolls out. Then... Nintendo will find itself on the lower end again, when it comes to hardware. Though... at this point, can't say I care too much about graphics since devs seem to be able to be able to do things fine with the current generation. Besides, people are so damn focused on MP games, that graphics doesn't come not play too much.. since you can't have too good of graphics for the MP portion of a game.

Geez, I recall not even a year ago that most folks would just say duel core, anymore would be not needed. Next thing you know most people will say 12 GB of RAM, 16 GB for extra padding, to be minimum. Actually, I got a question. I don't think there anything wrong but... every so often, it only happened twice, when I push the power button to turn on my computer, it turns on for one second then it turns off. Next push will turn it on for good. Again, I doubt nothing major. Just wondering.
