It's honestly not that far off from my desktop in plain old numbers (besides say the quality of said parts). Only thing that is significantly different is the GPU. I just hope this thing doesn't overheat and die, or get beat up and die.

Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain I beat this on normal earlier in the week. It is for sure better than Insect Armageddon and it has some really great ideas. The set pieces and all that are fantastic. The customization for your character is a great addition as well. The thing though is that there is a lot to be annoyed about. First off is the unevenness of the difficulty. Three to four missions in you get hit with quite the difficulty spike where the game throws a horde of a new enemy type at you. Sure there is a preset air strike that can help and at times take a majority of them out but usually it is not enough with the type of weapons you are given at that point. Peashooter with an enemy that can knock you down or stun you with their attack. Hell, this game's enemies frequently have an attack that can do that. Doesn't help that the enemy AI AIMS FOR YOU. They are relentless at hunting you down so you can be spammed by attacks that stun or knock you down which leads to you being hit some more since there's is no i-frames. You can get destroyed in a jiffy. This game is just plain unfairly hard in the early game. Even late game with better weapons it is an issue. Speaking of weapons, I really do not like the weapon unlock system they have. I am fine with grinding for weapon drops while playing through the game normally but here it is playing missions at certain difficulties to get a preset weapon. Then you got to have the credits and resources to unlock them. The credits and the resources are the grind. It incentivizes grinding out one quick level to farm credits. I hate this sort of grind. AND THERE'S ONE MORE THING: Item uses cost you credits to use. So it kind of punishes you to use item, especially in the early game where it is scarce and highly valued. Like sure, after you get what you want (late late game) you can use to your heart's desire but before then... ugh. As for multiplayer, I love the 6 players lobbies but loath the limited respawn (four), limited revives (imposed by item limits) and failing the mission if there is no more respawns and a player dies. I'm really divided about this game. It can be an absolute blast but other times... ugh.

Overkill for my needs? Maybe but if shit hits the fan on my main desktop (I feel it's the GPU but I guess I have the onboard CPU's GPU to have it still running) then I'll have something to work with that's not god awful slow. Hopefully it'll last me a while. I can also use it on the go. Hell, I'm shipping it to the hotel that I'll be at for two weeks

One thing I kind of hope for the base PS5 is that the main menu doesn't become a lagging mess akin to the PS3 and the now base PS4 after years of updates.

Sorry dude. Fixed. I would've made them smaller but the function isn't there anymore (or better yet, spoiler them which is there)? -

Well, I think it's fine but then again I touch spiders. Anyhow, for EDF 4.1 (what you likely have), the spiders looks like so: They're the same in EDF 5. They are a bit different in IA and IR. I personally think jumping spiders are cute. Orb weavers are a bit icky for sure but looks cool. In game though, you shoot these guys with prejudice. -
So... will Vader come in and kick your ass? Unless that Inquisitor get you first.

.................. WHY Edit: After a very quick cool off. I'd expect him to be like Darth Bane in that one Clone Wars episode. A specter, nothing more.
-
So... People are speculating that Darth Sedious survived?

I have no self control... but as a diehard EDF fan, I had to even though I had a feeling I would have some issues with this one. It is for sure better than Insect Armageddon and that was not a bad game. At its core, Iron Rain is a slower paced (to me) and more deliberate EDF. There is a pretty good chance that you will get your ass kicked at certain missions. I'll probably do a more detailed review once I beat the game. -
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/live/2019/apr/10/brexit-eu-to-decide-on-uk-extension-live-news Ugh... delayed to October 31st? That is oddly generous of the EU... which I see as kind of a big hint on what the UK should probably do. Or else get spooky skeleton'd and ectoplasm'd.

Berserk is coming back on the 26th.

Yeah, they really never interact in any meaningful way. I don't think even the post-game side quest (I haven't played it to that point) even do much in that regards even though some background element from each characters' stories goes into it. Which is a goddamn shame because in essence what you have in Octopath Traveler is Final Fantasy 6's World of Ruin. It just never come together in a "Holy shit, this is awesome" moment. While I liked what I played, it is fair to say that Octopath Traveler is in some way is a disappointment. Now there's a mobile game... Eh.

Hmm, I guess I'll play Sekiro whenever I have time and it goes on sale. I was initially put off by just how much it looks like a Souls game but I think I am convinced to try it. Nioh has great combat but the story and level design (not to mention the lack of enemy variety) doesn't compel me to go further which is a shame.

I buy figurines quite often. This time I got something related to gaming: While I have some misgivings about Garnet's head but when I think back, these are pretty damn close to the in-game models. And what I would give to be able to model out the ending to FFIX. Lastly... GIVE ME STEINER AND BEATRIX!

Yorushika is honestly one of my favorite Japanese musician/band.

A Korean Not-Nier:Automata. Lot of bullshot and not much to see but maybe something to keep an eye on.

You know, with a new album, it can also mean one thing for Rammstein: Tour. It would be for sure a call in sick day... if I can manage to get tickets if they do a new tour. They are too legendary to miss live.
-
Holy shit, actual new Rammstein!? You can actually hear bits and parts of their old songs which I find interesting. -----

Is it me or are games getting piss poor with implementing host migration nowadays? Being booted off a game is pretty shit if the host decides to rage quit so host migration got to be required.
-
Wait what: Even better. Lizzie (the one who made this) is an All Star. More: I'm adoring all of them.

Umm... just posting this here for shit and giggles.
