  1. I decided to play Transistor after Okami. It is one of my backlogs that I wanted to get to and since i have so many Japanese games, I figured that I give an American/Western dev a spin. Took a bit to get how it all works but damn, it is pretty good. So far, I'd say it's more interesting than Bastion but we'll see how this all pans out. Both game oozes style with great soundtracks but, while solid, I wasn't ever completely sold on Bastion gameplay.
  2. https://n.pr/2WjfZMb We're back open for three weeks. Almost guaranteed that we'll be back on for round two by then. If Trump and the GOP want a wall so bad, we can build one in DC. Thousands of people doing bucket brigade and shifts can get it done in a week at most.
  3. If they can get the enemy count correct then I will fully welcome Iron Rain and future spinoffs into the EDF family. I always welcome the chance to have a different toned EDF. Fun thing that most people tend to forget: Insect Armageddon was where the idea of classes took place first. So yeah, April 11th is when I go off the bonkers again...
  4. Well, here is the second $0 payday for 800,000 federal workers. Like sure, a fair number are technically working but essentially the US lost 800,000 jobs for a month straight. Who knows how many secondary jobs are affected... All for the stupid fucking wall.
  5. Okami HD Got all the Ana- Stray Beads as well. Overall I do like this game but man, platforming in this game is almost 90's level. Doable but it's a chore when you aren't sure of the distance you need to travel. Camera is bull too. Onwards...
  6. <<Look at this fool with his immense backlog buying yet another game!>>
  7. Just having a small taste... Feb 1st is a long way off you see.
  8. Trying to be responsible by going through my backlog instead of, say, going closer and closer to 250 hours of EDF 5 that I WILL be doing all over again if and when it comes to PC. So first off is Okami HD. I have been working through this for a while. It is good but it shows its age in mechanics and visually it can be pretty, its assets can look really blurry. This is the reason why I am still working on this. Other games on my radar is Atelier Sophie, Zwei: The Arges Adventure, DMC HD Collection, Yakuza 0, Ys: Memories of Celceta and Tokyo Xanadu. THEN AND ONLY THEN I WILL MOVE ON TO Dragon Quest XI. I have no idea how I am going to get to replaying Trails, Cold Steel and getting to the Crossbell games (Prepping for CS3)... not to mention the previous Kingdom Hearts games (KH3, finishing the fight, sir).
  9. I only ran the 1-shot demo to see how well it ran on my PC. I'm all good and I think I can wait. Besides, if my brother gets it on the PS4 then I have access to that... later on I can play on PC to experience it in all its gory.
  10. https://gematsu.com/2019/01/yakuza-kiwami-for-pc-launches-february-19 Yakuza Kiwami on PC SOON. I still need to really get into 0... but the giant insects needs killing.
  11. We may be annoyed, pissed or sad but that doesn't mean that we can't have a laugh.
  12. <<Bloody Namco>> <<Give it to me now>>
  13. I might be playing on the PS4 just to avoid the likely port problems. The only reason I would wait is if Durante is hired as a freelancer like Hatsuu is. None of the bullshit one day consulting that happened with Ys 8. I guess there is another reason to wait is to see the translation first. I don't think 9 months is enough for Hatsuu to do enough but I think having the other two (Kris and Ryan) will help since I assume they all worked together on the previous Cold Steel game. I'd be a little (as a courtesy) shocked if Kris and Ryan were recent hires to work on Cold Steel 3. If they were then shit will be fucked.
  14. It's the Presidio since you can see the Sutro Tower in the distance to the left, and Baker Beach and the Richmond District to the right. The perspective is pretty wonky which I attribute to Sonic.
  15. TWO WEEKS I GOT TO SURVIVE TWO WEEKS THIS IS HOW I COPE
  16. Yeah, the question is when they got the translator, whoever it is. It almost sounds like they got them like this month and with release in the Fall, it is surely not enough time to get everything in order. I'm prepared for a Ys 8 level of disgrace.
  17. Yeah, that Kiseki Bible is a big unknown. Whoever works on CS3 and CS4 got to have something like it else it will be a MESS. I'm pretty sure it cannot go to NISA unless they somehow bought it to use. Consistency in translation is key. Ideally the people working on it know the games very well. I know of one who is looking for a job... Another thing is management which to me is the big sore spot with NISA. They will need to splurge on time and money on this. Make no mistake, CS3 will not be a huge money maker compared to the amount of work needed. As for the timing of the announcement, it was pose to be tomorrow but someone let it out early so NISA needed to respond. Eh.
  18. Wait for tomorrow for the PAX West panel. We'll see what is officially up. Today info was just because of loose-lipped gaming "journalists".
  19. It happened. Like I said, I hope for a good NISA release but... And words is that someone who worked on the previous titles has a job. So there is hope?
  20. Hmm, I already pulled like 150 hours in EDF 5. I'll be doing it and more all over again once it hits PC... whenever that it.

Sweet Grey Jesus, I wonder what Iron Rain will do to me.

  21. Stupid timed console exclusive (it's how I see it as)... BUT IT IS TIME (VERY SOON) TO FIGHT FOR MY ERUSEAN WAIFU.
  22. Mongolian metal/hard rock is the best thing ever.
  23. You should give the DLC prequel a try then. For about 20-30 hours, it get rid of those bullshit which makes it a very pleasant experience.
