  1. Just having a small taste... Feb 1st is a long way off you see.
  2. Trying to be responsible by going through my backlog instead of, say, going closer and closer to 250 hours of EDF 5 that I WILL be doing all over again if and when it comes to PC. So first off is Okami HD. I have been working through this for a while. It is good but it shows its age in mechanics and visually it can be pretty, its assets can look really blurry. This is the reason why I am still working on this. Other games on my radar is Atelier Sophie, Zwei: The Arges Adventure, DMC HD Collection, Yakuza 0, Ys: Memories of Celceta and Tokyo Xanadu. THEN AND ONLY THEN I WILL MOVE ON TO Dragon Quest XI. I have no idea how I am going to get to replaying Trails, Cold Steel and getting to the Crossbell games (Prepping for CS3)... not to mention the previous Kingdom Hearts games (KH3, finishing the fight, sir).
  3. I only ran the 1-shot demo to see how well it ran on my PC. I'm all good and I think I can wait. Besides, if my brother gets it on the PS4 then I have access to that... later on I can play on PC to experience it in all its gory.
  4. https://gematsu.com/2019/01/yakuza-kiwami-for-pc-launches-february-19 Yakuza Kiwami on PC SOON. I still need to really get into 0... but the giant insects needs killing.
  5. We may be annoyed, pissed or sad but that doesn't mean that we can't have a laugh.
  6. <<Bloody Namco>> <<Give it to me now>>
  7. I might be playing on the PS4 just to avoid the likely port problems. The only reason I would wait is if Durante is hired as a freelancer like Hatsuu is. None of the bullshit one day consulting that happened with Ys 8. I guess there is another reason to wait is to see the translation first. I don't think 9 months is enough for Hatsuu to do enough but I think having the other two (Kris and Ryan) will help since I assume they all worked together on the previous Cold Steel game. I'd be a little (as a courtesy) shocked if Kris and Ryan were recent hires to work on Cold Steel 3. If they were then shit will be fucked.
  8. It's the Presidio since you can see the Sutro Tower in the distance to the left, and Baker Beach and the Richmond District to the right. The perspective is pretty wonky which I attribute to Sonic.
  9. TWO WEEKS I GOT TO SURVIVE TWO WEEKS THIS IS HOW I COPE
  10. Yeah, the question is when they got the translator, whoever it is. It almost sounds like they got them like this month and with release in the Fall, it is surely not enough time to get everything in order. I'm prepared for a Ys 8 level of disgrace.
  11. Yeah, that Kiseki Bible is a big unknown. Whoever works on CS3 and CS4 got to have something like it else it will be a MESS. I'm pretty sure it cannot go to NISA unless they somehow bought it to use. Consistency in translation is key. Ideally the people working on it know the games very well. I know of one who is looking for a job... Another thing is management which to me is the big sore spot with NISA. They will need to splurge on time and money on this. Make no mistake, CS3 will not be a huge money maker compared to the amount of work needed. As for the timing of the announcement, it was pose to be tomorrow but someone let it out early so NISA needed to respond. Eh.
  12. Wait for tomorrow for the PAX West panel. We'll see what is officially up. Today info was just because of loose-lipped gaming "journalists".
  13. It happened. Like I said, I hope for a good NISA release but... And words is that someone who worked on the previous titles has a job. So there is hope?
  14. Hmm, I already pulled like 150 hours in EDF 5. I'll be doing it and more all over again once it hits PC... whenever that it.

Sweet Grey Jesus, I wonder what Iron Rain will do to me.

  15. Stupid timed console exclusive (it's how I see it as)... BUT IT IS TIME (VERY SOON) TO FIGHT FOR MY ERUSEAN WAIFU.
  16. Mongolian metal/hard rock is the best thing ever.
  17. You should give the DLC prequel a try then. For about 20-30 hours, it get rid of those bullshit which makes it a very pleasant experience.
  18. This song is not in the game (what's there is actually inferior) but makes total sense after everything is over in EDF 5. While the battle song is subpar, EDF 5 improves on practically everything from 4.1. Taking place in what I assume is an alternative timeline, we actually fight aliens this time. These aliens, the frogs (I DEMAND ALIENS RIGHTS) and actual grey aliens, replace the classic EDF enemy: Hectors. While it saddens me that there are no Hectors but the aliens brings A LOT to the table. The frogs are the nearly 1:1 replacements to the Hectors with a twist: you can shoot off limbs for a much needed, if gory, layer of tactical crowd control. Of course they can regrow limbs but you can just one-hit kill them with a strong enough shot to the head. Easy enough. The grey aliens though, they wear armor. At minimum they take two well placed shots to kill. If not, prepare to stunlock them with excessive firepower. Oh yeah, these aliens know to flank you too... These two aliens poses a threat that the Hectors never were. On the player's end, there is too many to even mention them all. My top three would be 1) the improved loot system where weapon crates means something (for weapon upgrades) and what is picked up can apply for all classes; 2) while still very powerful, the wing diver received a much needed check on how her weapons work so she's not completely OP; and 3) no more double stacking on weapons during loadout which in MP really changes things. Like there's many more improvements like how the fencer isn't stuck a with needing an dash cancel loadout now but yeah... I love a lot of the changes done with EDF 5. A lot of craziness abound. Last mission spoiler: I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH
  19. I want bearded/mustached Adol. In some ways I want him to be like Sean Connery's character in Highlander...
  20. Dunkirk How the narrative was split up is a bit confusing. You constantly have to reorient yourself to which timeline you are watching. With that said, this might age better with subsequent viewings.
  21. From my brother. OH BOY ANOTHER BEEFY JRPG TO PLAY...! Seriously though, I look forward to it. I've heard good things. I just have a backlog... that gets bigger.
  22. First They Killed My Father As the name kind of implies, you only watch this once.
