Bullshit. NISA been doing this shit for FOREVER. My expectations were low yet they even blew the floor away and got close to Hell. Seriously, I gave them a chance. Even I went "Umm... wow." at the level of incompetence/malice they showed. Actually, I think we are in Hell. I will (so should Falcom) only give NISA one more chance. I WANT THEM TO SURPRISE ME. With that all said, I've been hearing troubling news about Falcom lately, mainly with regards to their music department. You know, a major part of what makes Falcom games so awesome. I think from Ys VIII onwards, most of the old people are gone. The new lead guy is apparently subpar but I need to play Ys VIII to really know. I think the Steam sale might have it at 20% but that is not low enough for me considering my large backlog.

It's an easy crime that most police do not even bother with. With that said, these harmless traps should be more of a thing. I personally would use spray paint laced or like paint like those anti-theft tags on clothing in a disposable trap.

I'm just curious where this fits in the timeline and all since I never got the impression that something like this was around. There is the Romun (Roman) Empire after all. Not to mention that the other games are very Mediterranean. I think the closest it got to Gothic is Oath. Specifically Valestein Castle. Anyhow, I'll look at it what's available some more later. Honestly I'm not sure where to put this but: Bao is up on Youtube for a week or so. It is very on point, especially on anything food related.

Earth Defense Force 5 Holy shit. This is amazing. Best EDF yet. We lost fighting the hectors but we gained more by fighting frogs and greys. Seriously, they are far more interesting to fight than the hectors. The frogs would be the closest to the hectors. The aliens comes in their regular and heavy armor forms. You won't be oneshotting them with a sniper rifle since you need to knock off some armor first. Also that final mission. Holy shit. Oh yeah. GOTY. Totally not bias.

For those that still care. On another note... so many games to get through.

Overall it is a strategy RPG.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna the Golden Country I'm freed from this game. I enjoy this expansion but this being a prequel really put a damper on things story and character wise. Which kind of sucks since I identify myself more with this Lora and company than Rex and company. Combat and overworld exploration is much tighter though since you don't have an army of Blades to juggle around (read: grindy). If you thought the combat in the base game was good then please try this one out. I think overall I will give XC2 a B+ (out of S) despite all my naggles I have about the game. If I were younger and less versed in Anime Bullshit (tm), I'd be all over this game. Tons of growing pains (and tutorials till the end) but shit if the combat is fun as hell. Hopefully someday I'll get to play XC1 and then have the pleasure of playing XC3 whenever it get announced and released.

Got it digital on the Switch so I can swap to it anytime I want. Screw Smash Ultimate! The Prince and the King of the Cosmos needs me!

This is great. From what I understand, it's red makeup and a red filter. The effect is most easily seen on her cover (not sure of the formal name). It turns dark but you can see it shimmering a bit due to movement by the actress and/or the camera filter was not steady (either due to the rig or operator's hands).

In Hong Kong I finally got Evocation HK's new album "Libation" directly from the record label. They were across the major street from where I was staying, which was awesome. Also got a band shirt. It's also how I got introduced to the band and song on the top of this page. Sadly I didn't have enough cash on me to get that album since I come to love it. Anyhow, my favorite track so far: In Taiwan I picked up Chthonic's new album "Battlefields of Asura" along with their first one. I am not as big of a fan but I like them enough to do so. Can't decided on a favorite song yet... so have another Hong Kong band album I got... Too bad they didn't have the older albums at the store I was at... maybe I should've asked the two band members...
