  1. http://www.greenmangaming.com/nintendo/ Nintendo now offering games through GMG. Pricey, but at least Nintendo are experimenting.
  2. Just heard about this "Women on notes" thing. Bush picked Thatcher?! Even we wouldn't pick her and she's from our country. Did no one in the audience pipe up to help out? "Hold on guys, I got this, I've got binders full of women!"
  3. Picked up the recent Humble Bundle. Now to put off doing anything with it
  4. https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly?gamemaker_weekly One of the more different bundles. Includes a bunch of games, but at the higher tiers includes Game Maker add-ons and upgrades as well as source for some of the games to play with. I might grab it, not as much an interest in many of the games, but having some code to play with I find is a useful way of learning.
  5. Started watching Deathnote. I know it's one of the more popular and recommend anime and so far it's pretty damn good. Only two episodes in but it really drags you in quite quickly.
  6. As folks have noted if the principal and police absolutely and utterly truly believed it was an actual bomb and not just plucking him out for skin colour then they wouldn't have casually had a chat with him in the building while surrounded by kids still. They'd have cleared the school and got a bomb squad in. Positive response afterwards, though might be best to not focus on like scholarship n NASA tour invites on a single kid and instead maybe look at the root cause of why a personal science/engineering project got the muslim kid put in cuffs.
  7. Eurgh, looking at flats and it's either house share (which'd be swapping a known quantity of shitheads for an unknown) or single bed flat in these shiny new complexes with super high rents for basically a single box room. Nice n modern sure, but I'd be loathe to pay nearly doubly my current rent (though does include bills n what not) for a flat that's smaller than my current bedroom even if it's a shiny looking flat. Blargh. Also fuck places that put single bed listings on Zoopla n Rightmove that are houseshares. That's especially infuriating.
  8. I hear you're having problems with clocks. (Also a GOP debate but I've not heard as much about that)
  9. https://imgur.com/a/ikGmU Album of a lot of the models made for the original trilogy (and maybe the prequels, I've not gotten that far yet). RotJ Death Star always looks great.
  10. This is kinda neat, even if you don't care for the tech behind it (though "coming to a game near you...maybe 9th gen"). I think some colour choices were a tad poor mind
  11. Soon I'll be back. Not sure if I want to wait for the expansions to all drop, or play them as they come out.
  12. Bit of a longer video on the crafting and modding stuff. The customisation stuff should be pretty damn cool.
  13. Scarlet Johansson is slightly distracting because it's so obviously her. Man this could be good though just for the voice cast.
  14. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/09/15/gravity-rush-remastered-coming-to-ps4-on-february-9th-2016/ Remaster coming to PS4 early next year. I hear this is a neat game so I'll maybe keep an eye out.
  15. I imagine while there's likely a market for that, the suppliers might be less than forthcoming on that front. As mentioned there's not really anything "illegal" about it though I know some places take a hard stance on even owning or producing cartoon CP is illegal. Though it's all an entirely different convo. On the grown-adult models I'd see zero issue with it. Just a very intelligent vibrator or fleshlight really.
  16. We don't even really have the tech yet and folks want to ban sex robots http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-34118482 I don't see any problem with them to be honest. Especially from a "this is bad for women". Worth noting for ages women have had electronic male replacements for ages and no one has raised any issues there.
  17. To be fair it is mostly all a touristy thing. I'm pretty sure on day to day it's a much shorter name.
  18. Oh I just whacked the guys name into Google (since folks mentioning it on Twitter but articles are best) and that came up. I could read it fine, figured if it had a paywall I'd look for something else.
  19. Could be a mistake but PS2 games listed for PS4 http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-09-14-pegi-listings-hint-at-ps2-classics-for-playstation-4 TGS is this weekend so maybe something will be announced then. Theoretically nothing stopping it emulating PS2 or PS1 titles given it's X86 and there's been X86 emulators around for ages and pretty good ones at that. However given even my small library has two "HD Remasters" in I imagine the lack of emulation is probably quite lucrative at the moment. Many PS2 games are well over a decade old at this point, I know there's fans n such but many gamers are happy to play newer stuff (and tbh, going back to the theoretical on PS4 supporting PS2 games in the same reason most PC's support PS2 n PS1 games so there's that). The big news would be if it supported PS3 games, which is only in its infancy on PC. Though given MS got 360 BC on Xbone there's hope still for PS3 emulation.
  20. http://www.wsj.com/articles/nintendo-names-tatsumi-kimishima-as-ceo-1442214186 New CEO named. Is a sort of "safe bet" kind of guy. He, as described by WSJ, is a bit of a "number-cruncher". He's Reggie's predecessor and had worked on bringing Pokemon to US. I doubt he'll be around for super long, probably a few years at most to maybe have stability as NX is brought in. Miyamoto is now "Creative Fellow" and Genyo Takeda is "Hardware fellow" to sort of crutch Kimishima.
  21. The reaction from Tories, and Cameron especially is deplorable. An utter joke. https://twitter.com/David_Cameron/status/642984909980725248 They must think he's got more to him than I do cos if they figured he was a non-threat and unelectable (as PM, he's certainly proved himself very electable as Labour leader) then they'd likely have kept shut. Day as usual. But parroting this whole "he's a national threat" stuff: https://twitter.com/chris_coltrane/status/642832002845159424is wank. He's probably doing more short-term damage to Labour than anyone else who might be running scared of him. They're now shown to have drifted right over the years and now make this guy who is pretty left throughout seem as a massive extremist in comparison. Obviously a lot of Labour folks are strongly dedicated to the party and democracy if they quit as soon as they don't get their way. Tom Watson is a good egg. I've followed him on twitter for some time. https://twitter.com/tom_watson/status/134568437010800640 One of the guys pushing phone hacking scandal stuff through too.
  22. Meanwhile behind the camera everyone is "wahey!"
  23. Mad Max: Fury Road I've seen the older ones years and years ago but like at that point of childhood where you don't wholly remember stuff. I probably should load them into my list. Anywho this was an opportunity for some father-son bonding otherwise I'd have watched this a while back. Was pretty good, I think whoever got to design the cars and characters n what not really enjoyed their time. Very...turned to 11 kind of film. Everything was slightly over saturated, slightly sped up, and slightly more to the characters and action. Very oomphy like John Wick, though not the same kind of slickness but it's not that kind of film. It has the word "mad" in the title. I'd say my only issue is cos of the way much of it is presented early on it take until about 20 minutes into the film until you feel you've an alright understanding of what's going on.
