  1. No, I knew how to block myself (R2/RT). It's breaking the block on the mechs (when they go blue), that was the issue.
  2. Yeah, the Batarian is very clearly pointing the finger at me. There is in fact a whole side quest on the Citadel, full of alliance, where a Batarian sets me up in order to ambush me and have a crack at blowing my brains out cos I blew up his planet in Arrival. Which when talking him down didn't leave much to go on cos I didn't know what the fuck I did. (But I'm Commander Shepard, and convincing the Batarains to join the fleet is my favourite thing to do on the citadel)
  3. Video games are a money making business. Also, the second team was working on the Vita version, I mentioned that. It was a generic remark, I wasn't responding to directly to anything you'd said or I'd have directly quoted you. Then again right as I posted you did say:
  4. I doubt this game is worth $60 in production costs As far as I'm aware it's using the Street Fighter IV engine, meaning 80% of the production is already done, leaving just minor tweaks and asset creation. SFxT won't have been an expensive game to make. It is pretty much out of the aim of making loadsamoney that they spin off the content into DLC. If it's on the disc it's part of the game and was part of the game development. Totally fair game for folks to put all the content back into their purchased product. I dunno, if folks are fine to be nickle n dimed and perfectly find to stick a EULA up their butt n love it then that's their thing. I won't stop you, your money. I've got a decent enough backlog before I have to face the future of games. "But Ultimate Street Fighter x Tekken V Turbo totally comes with 20 characters and that's well worth the $100 price. It's not like they can charge for a $250 game" p.s: With regards to the whole "we hired in another team to work on DLC" Do people actually believe that? DLC is a money making business, when you've got a perfectly capable asset creation team already in place why would you create a second one? Hire more folks for the main team, but it's wasteful to have two separate teams doing the exact same tasks, and thus your'e squandering the potential profits of your DLC.
  5. http://fffff.at/free-universal-construction-kit/ - the nice thing about 3D printers is you can make things most other people won't do on a mass scale.

I saw an artcile a while back where Jay Leno was making parts for antique (real antique as in 100+ years old) one of a kind autos using a 3D printer. Pretty cool, but not exactly as feel-good as seeing a machinist do it.

What is this Frankenstein monster!? Its... really damn cool.

What parts was he making? I feel like anything that you would ordinarily have to machine out of a block of metal wouldn't hold up well enough if you just printed it.

  6. That's a bit of a leap considering:
  7. It should maybe be noted that I got Enslaved through LoveFilm, so I get sent the disc and only the disc. If there is a block-break attack and it's not mentioned in the game then I won't know Also for those that didn't note earlier I added in some PS buttons to the forum http://forum.pressxordie.com/index.php?showtopic=266&pid=77262&st=0entry77262 (No point on xbox/nintendo ones since they're just letters)
  8. http://www.pcgamer.c...u-need-to-know/ Mists of Panderia stuff. Also we either have a different thread or Panderia was announced a long time ago.
  9. Enslaved. All in all an alright game, but with a "run towards the camera" section and the combat was a bit cruddy (the enemies could block, but you had no moves to make them break the block :/). The escort stuff wasn't too bad, especially as she had that Decoy thing which was kinda neat. There was a few moments where she'd normally be able to walk along/jump but the game would want me to go back, pick her up and walk her around/throw her across jumps which did get annoying when that happened. edit: Deathspank Pretty neat game. Nice style, one that'll probably hold up for a fair few years. Tad basic, but the kind of thing I needed.
  10. Wait, the main game still uses the lucky mix method of handouts the demo had? Wow..I thought that was just to give everyone a bit of a taste of what'll be in the MP not an actual preview of how they'd be doing it
  11. I'm confused. What you responding to? I already know that one cos I saved them in ME1. Unless you're responding to the other dean, but I doubt you even know there's more than one dean around here.
  12. aka I've got a medallion that vibrates in the presence of pedants, it's making me a milkshake at the moment.
  13. It vibrates in the presence of magic/enemies. That's a feature from the old game though.
  14. http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/10084349/1 So a PR dude (not a Biwoare PR, just a person that works in the industry) has posted a "how it will/is playing out".
  15. So someone made a flow chart of "how your choices could affect the ending" kinda thing. (I'm not gonna spoiler it, text is small as it is) Few spots I disagree with(geth outcome) and a couple things forgotten (like the collector base n Rachni), but a pretty good "how it could come together". I am still kind of miffed at the complete lack of a "game over" scenario(in the actual game, this chart has one). ME2, middle of the trilogy, had one, but not ME3? why?
  16. Fans filing FTC complaints against Bioware/EA over false advertising. Pretty comprehensive list here: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/10056886 I've a feeling that it's not false advertising. I know over here it wouldn't exactly fly as a claim unless they were showing off the PC version in place of 360 in adverts(or showing PS3 version of a game to advertise a 360 version..Square). Still, a pretty impressive collection of misleading comments and lies

So it is very much an excuse to get drunk under the guise of tradition then

Question: Why do the Americans make such a big thing out of one nations patron saint, while ignoring all others. Or is it pretty much just an excuse to get plastered and call it "tradition"?
  19. iirc you can have it auto-enabled. Also I played the game with a 360 pad so it was much simple (push in the stick)
  20. Trailer for the 360 EE version. Kind of a "what's new" thingy. Given it's a month out for the EE version I'll hold out on playing Witcher 2 properly I guess.
