  1. I'm aware it's something that "can be worked around". Except that comes at the expense of cutting the game up. You end up with a game that is more like this: instead of something like this: You'd reverse years of maturation within the industry in story telling within games. Moving on from the old coin-op days, on to bolting on some kind of story, probably just printed in the manual with occasional "cutscenes" of "princess is in another castle" n that stuff, then moving on to the modern era of Half-Lifes, Bioshocks n Heavy Rains. The whole point of video games over stuff like a plain old film is the game part. I'm not even one of the "games are art" types and I can see that. I'm still not seeing on how folks would not want to play the game, but an LP is "not the same thing". Either way folks are still just watching the game play out. Maybe get a dud controller to hold n twiddle with the buttons if it makes people feel any better?
  2. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2066351/Screenshots/Programs/BlueStack_Pulse.jpg I'm may be going a bit too far in my whole "I want something like Pulse, but for Windows"
  3. We get it; you're a one issue voter. So what's this whole thing about stopping hate. You sure seem to hate on overweight people. Have fun with your hate. And the difference between Chris Christie at Chick-fil-a and Kim Jong-Un with hot wings is?
  4. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/envoy/u-announces-diplomatic-breakthrough-north-korea-152331635.html Seeks North Korea n US are having a crack at getting along following Jong-Il's death.
  5. That tends to be how a lot of pantomime goes. The lead ..prince or what not is usually a female. The mother of this character, and/or maybe the "ugly sisters" type, will be played by men. e.g:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kztNWdhRdnw Developer: Maxis Release: 2013 http://www.neogaf.co....php?p=35585202 No in-game stuff mind, but it does state it'll be a 2013 release. Which is a huge bummer. Still, excited for this. Here's hoping for more news come GDC.

  9. http://chainsawsuit.com/2012/02/28/guess-im-the-best-how-games-made-me-sexy-and-great/ heheh
  10. That episode with the new Daleks is the last you see of them for a long time (unless you also pick up the adventure games)
  11. So I guess I'll take the response as: Pantomime isn't that big/non-existent in the states then?
  12. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-02-29-game-not-stocking-mass-effect-3-or-ea-games-past-ssx GAME/Gamestation will not be stocking any EA game released after SSX. This means no Mass Effect 3. Currently they'll give you in-store credit too if you've pre-ordered.
  13. It can be both. The gag being it's not got any rabbit in it. (same as turtle soup). Rarebit is just one way of writing it down. Bubble n Squeak was one I was going to add, but it didn't seem to odd like the rest. Same with Bangers n Mash.
  14. So a thought sparked by Thursdays post in the job thread: How popular is pantomime in the states? I guess the real question is: HE'S BEHIND YOU!!
  15. That mostly screams "Widow Twankey", but the rest...Rimmer?
  16. Obama has released his birth video. edit: apparently this is pretty old. Ah well. For those that haven't seen it, here it is.

  18. Oh not only did he get laid once...but you can read about his many more escapades in his sonic bed in his book.
  19. It's his dads business, not a minor side project. Also I am being taken on as an employee. Heading over later half of this week with P45s n shit to get it done-done.
  20. http://uk.faqs.ign.c.../1218032p1.html I'm just going to link this here. (Oh you'll need to enable Macros for it to work)
  21. I may have worded something wrong, but it's not my dad and his friend. It's my friend and his dad. If my dad could have given me a job I'd have had one months ago Wanna know what doubly sucks? That event yesterday was actually good. Woot for giving us a feedback form to fill in. "Additional comments: Could have done with this 6 months ago". Also cos they don't let us out of the door until we've signed up with someone (and the army was there...eek), I'm now semi-signed up with Middlesbrough College on some burst course type thing. So now I've got to deal with declining that. Though I guess depending on how many hours I'm put down for initially with Ben's dad I could maybe do both, get qualification and experience. I put down my field of interest as IT. The courses are 16/hrs a week for 6 weeks.
  22. The way Totilo is reacting does seem to suggest this wasn't one of their nerd-bait type pieces. Though he's hilariously missing the mark again in why folks disapprove of the piece. He seems to think it's cos it implies gamers are all straight. Folks are complaining cos it's just a crappy article that has zero place on a gaming site. But then again Kotaku is, despite still retaining the "gamers guide" description, moving on beyond gaming now, with the gaming just being a sort of tumour on the side they have to deal with now n then. hehehe. Also Spork I don't think that's a cached link, just a re-direct.
