  1. Because love is different depending upon who is loving? The love between man and woman is different to man and man? As a monosexual man are you sure you want to be making that assertion?
  2. It didn't have auto-play ads for me when you had it up.
  3. Yeah most MP demos are pre-release. So if you didn't play it then, you can't play it now. As I've said on twitter I can see it being a game that will drop in price fairly quickly. Their european release (providing everyone in europe with the stripped down and censored German version), and at a one month delay, will most likely be a self-fulfilling prophecy of "we don't think we'll get many sales in Europe". Can't think why... I'm not too fussed, still have black, there's still a PS2 at my mums, I only ever really played against (or alongside, run AI, run!!!) my sister anyway.
  4. At least you're aware it's a pretty controversial stance.
  5. Not really a sin that's easy to not do though. Killing, stealing, adultry etc are sins that you can skip on doing, but being gay is going to have you in the confession box for a fair while. "father forgive me for I have sinned. In fact I'm sinning right now. My rosary bears are getting pretty worn out too"
  6. Versus, I don't know what.
  7. Damn that Double Fine Kickstarter news is pretty amazing. Highest funded game on there and got it in less than 12 hrs. Now to see if it's a one hit wonder.

"I’m just talking about changing the entire world forever for the better. And getting a game out of it." There's a very good chance he could! Now that Tim has shown bigger developers what they can get from just their reputation and expectations, more are sure to follow.

  8. http://darkadia.com/member/deanbmmv/library#!/shelf/unfinished/1 - Suggest my next game. Some console ones I can't do though (All PS2, and couple PS3 I've lent out)

That's probably one I won't be doing for a long long ever. Tenshi suggested Nier which I think I shall.

  9. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II What a disappointing game. Just thinking back you end up in like 4 areas, compared to the first game, the boss fights were a terrible slog, there's like 4 enemy types. If the bosses n mini-bosses had less health the game would lose about an hour (most of my heaths were falls, it's not like you're easy to kill yourself. In fact with my Vader fight I lost like 10% of my health tops). It was ultimately extremely anti-climatic (it's a battle on rainy Kamino as opposed to the in-progress Death Star Mk I of the first game) Woot for a rental I guess, here's hoping my next title is FFXIII-2. The first is good if you're wanting something to play. I quite liked the force monsters too. Should be cheap nowadays.
  10. Seems the client has updated. Now with proper Steam aesthetics and working links

    WipEout HD

From what I'm gathering it may be best his weekend We can probably make a decent run of it then too.
  12. I think World of Goo was the upgrade(considering you need to pay above the average to get it). It was an Android bundle too, and there's not exactly many multi platform Android and PC titles.
  13. Question: (I guess at Thursday): How does it work in the UK then? What Ethan describes sounds similar to what happens, at l.east from my view as someone who comes to weddings, not someone who does all the signing n legalities around it. However in the US version the religious bit is theoretically pointless and not legally anything(which would make me question the objection to "gay marriage" in the US if the religious element means jack shit. I'm pretty sure if a gay man can be tried in court they can be married in one), unlike a civil partnership versus marriage would seem to imply over here. Though I know we don't do it in courts, but tend to be at like the town hall, which I guess could be similar.
  14. So WipEout HD later tonight then?

If I was to say 7PM GMT today, is that fine, or do folks want something a bit later/tomorrowey/weekendey?
  16. I seem to remember a certain political fight over "separate but equal." Except there isn't same-sex segregation. No separate schools, buses, water, etc. I may not religions biggest fan but I can respect if their doctrine says no to same-sex couples then I respect that. Civil partnership provides the exact same legal rights to same-sex couples as a marriage, minus the sticky area of religions not allowing it. Next of kin, adoption, taxes, etc. It is equal in all but name and doing it in a church. I don't even know many opposite sex couples marrying churches of late anyway.
  17. I've mentioned it before but http://www.bbc.co.uk...litics-14960357 The gov't is moving to have full gay marriage in the UK by next election (aka 2015) It's my understanding that civil partnerships are legally exactly the same as regular marriage, thus giving the same rights, just without the religious part on top. i.e the "marriage" bit. Which considering the Quakers are the only denomination to accept gay unions didn't really restrict much. And AFAIK the bible isn't' against blacks. edit: Swapping blacks and bibles around for grammar.
  18. So scientists have this injectable putty that can heal bones super fast: http://www.geek.com/articles/geek-cetera/fracture-putty-can-heal-a-broken-bone-in-days-2012027/ - laymans http://news.uga.edu/releases/article/uga-discovery-uses-fracture-putty-to-repair-broken-bone-in-days/ - full blown It has funding from DoD, so I assume they want to use this on soldiers out on the battlefield. If you can have someone combat ready in a few days after a fracture that'll be awesome for them.
  19. Hey, science here again. Two gene pools mixing increases the risk of genetic defects, it's why it's always been considered wrong even before a complete scientific understand of genes. People were able to put 2 n 2 together even way back when. So yeah, for those unaware that's why incest is illegal.
  20. edit: actually I should add something worthwhile. 1. I live in a Christian state. I could go n marry Thursday if I wanted(well, civil partnership, same difference). But it's kinda my understanding that seems to be a bit special as far as denominations go in being dicks to everyone else. 2. Just going back to earlier discussion surely same sex marriage is awesome? same sex couples can't reproduce, so no babies to abort. And then on top of that the only way they can have a family is to adopt, thus reducing the strain on the foster care system.
  21. There is (kind of) a Mirrors Edge thread you know!

Some of them are XBLA, dunno about WP7 games. Most likely just ports like most XBLA titles.
  23. Yeah it's shopped. It's in height order, and while there's not a huge multi-inch gap, "M" in this image is taller than "O". Problem is I can no longer find the original. Good shop though, and I guess says something about Romney when not everyone realised it was In other news: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/07/proposition-8-california-same-sex-marriage-ban-ruling_n_1260171.html Prop 8 is unconstitutional. Which I'm unsure on how that whole thing works, but wouldn't that mean same sex marriage is constitutional? Also I thought California was meant to be a free love hippy state type place, why'd they ban it in the first place?
