  1. HAHAHAHAHA p.s don't watch if not played, it does kinda contain a slice of the whole "why dean thinks this is the last Uncharted for a fair while".
  2. okay here's a new one I'd never thought to question Lemonade. Over here lemonade is a carbonated lemon drink. In US it's lemon squash with sugar in. Which probably explains why kids are making it on the roadside to sell for 5cents a glass. To think I used to be impressed of these kids making lemonade and all they're doing is selling lemon squash. So just to reinforce this: Sprite is lemonade, as is R.Whites, 7up, Tesco Lemonade, the stuff you add with beer to make shandy, and a few others. Also Burlglarize? Really? If a burlgarization goes wrong does the burglarizer murderize the home owner?
  3. Yeah if there wasn't the attached video I wouldn't have posted.
  4. A reminder PSA: Do not post on EA/Bioware/affiliated forums. It's not worth it.
  5. Crash Bandicoot and Jak n Daxter did pretty well too (though Jak not as much), Crash sold off to Activision and both of them were shelved when the respective consoles ended. I wouldn't be surprised with Last of Us coming next and PS4 around the corner that next it will be a new IP. Not saying it's the complete end, might be a new one years later, but I think this is the last of Drake for the PS3 at least.
  6. Well there's the Vita one still to come. Drake is still alive and well at the end, but it had a feeling that it was him done with uncharting for now. And with Naughty Dog moving on to that Last of Us. It could all change of course, and there's no official "this is the end" like you have with ME3, but what with the in-game and out-game events it does feel that way.
  7. Well yes the drugs did it, but it was still a yeti/zombie deal, just Djinn this time. Still required filling with bullets before they went down (at least UC2 had their crossbows you could steal. They did the job well). And yeah the fisticuffs while being shot at, died many times that way. Especially the bit with the derelict boat yard and you have to swim around the boats under the gaze of a turret.
  8. So we know all about the whole high school/secondary school/college/not-college/uni/kingdergaten/nursery business. What I didn't know is the curriculum is rather different too. In steam chat one of the guys mentioned liking their government teacher, I probe to find out if I'm understanding this correct and yes it's the teacher that teaches the "Government" class, not a teacher put in place by the government or something (I guess like some kinda uber-ofsted thing). From what I gathered it's a all-through-high school kinda deal too, but they were a bit mixed on that one.
  9. So played and completed Uncharted 3 yesterday/this morning. First off: Fuck online pass things. (soot for Uncharted 2 being Online Pass free) So as stated in the "games you've beat" I prefer Uncharted 2. I feel UC3 was much of a muchness, still a very good and generally well crafted muchness, but the whole chasing convoys, escaping crashing vehicles, collapsing cities stuff has been done already. I disliked two parts about Uncharted 3. 1. 15 years later and Naughty Dog bring back one of the worst parts of Crash Bandicoot. The "running towards the camera" levels. Yes your water is all splashy and fancy and you want to show it off, surely there's other ways? It's just terrible to play cos unless you have absolutely awesome level design it becomes very much a case of trial and error until the player learnt all the path. 2. One of the puzzles really really sucked. First time in a while I've had to check out a walkthrough. I still don't get it. Line up the random limbs, understood that, put the cogs in the right way, the journal tells you that one easy enough. But this one (Which apart from having a thumb obscure part of the journal for) just made no sense at all, especially when the symbols changed depending on the angle. (and a minor one would be they changed the models of Chloe and Elina. They're slightly more oriental and photoshopped magazine cover-like.) As for the rest it's all solid Unchartedness. Shooting, puzzles, platforming, set pieces, drake dying when falling 10 feet etc etc. The fighting is improved, though I've just come to this after finishing Arkham City which unfortunately most games will pale to in that respect. I appreciate that they also removed the super hard end bossfight that Uncharted 2 had (which btw Charlie, the English geezer, is the same VA as Lozarvic in UC2), and it all kinda added a nice bit of backstory (rather enjoyed the early young drake bit) and fleshed out the characters some more. Though they kept in the god damn "semi-mythical creatures as bad guys near the end of the game" bit. Fucking loved it when I came across a normal merc and he went down in a few bullets. edit: Dislike 3: I felt many of the fights only seemed to increase in difficulty because they just added more people into the fights. It didn't feel very tactical, and stealth was pointless for all but the first one or two kills. edit2: I liked that they made use of this illusion a fair few times.
  10. Uncharted 3. It was good, the set pieces were pretty epic. I felt Uncharted 2 was better though. Good end to the series though.
  11. Some one? Some one? Some many hundreds of people. BTW for fans of HAWP, they're in there at some point.
  12. Stock Cube = Bouillon Cube Where does that name come from? sounds french. p.s just to check but it's not just a northern thing of Bovril as a drink?
  13. Star Wars: Uncut Been a long time coming.
  14. I liked it up until the part where you didn't die. Also it's £5 over here. Stupid £=$
  15. Yeah I'm with the rest of the camp in "It's kinda like Fable if fable wasn't made for babies". It was fun to play, had its issues mind, but other than that if it was going for £5 and my backlog was cleared (or clear enough) I'd jump right on it. The art style was a bit wow-like, and I think that was okay, though it does deaden the whole affair a bit. It was good, but not exciting.
  16. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.labChicken.spaceShooter - One of the guys in PXOD chat(steam) has made this, check it out.
  17. So do you guys have "Englishman, Irishman and a Scotsman" jokes? Or is it like "American, Canadian and a Mexican walk into a bar. The barman says "is this some kind of joke?"?
  18. http://www.bethblog.com/2012/01/19/news-on-the-creation-kit-and-game-updates/ Creation Kit and Workshop coming soon, also this is the first patch with quest fixes in (afaik)
  19. Yeah it's Ready, Steady, Go. Even got a cookery show with the phrase.
  20. So turns out in 04 there was some retarded law brought in that stops folks selling spare organs. I'm pretty fucking sure there's one sure fire way to not help the organ shortage is wait for everyone to be dead.

Battra I'm not out of work because I find "shame" in doing certain jobs and I'd rather people stop insinuating that.

  21. Dude you're pretty late into that
  22. You don't need to be as careful with it. You still level up your abilities as you use them, but you don't need to pick major n minor abilities from the get go. Once you level up you get a perk point to boost your skills some more. Scaling is a bit messed up, some things get much easier, mages(especially necromnacers) can get much harder though. edit: Yeah if you arrive at Whiterun and craft a thousand iron daggers and push up speech n smithing, you're gonna struggle. But you'd have to purposely sit smithing and selling stuff for a couple hours.
