Just a quick glance but Mirrors Edge, Bioshock (though it's in a slipcase), RDR, Demon Souls (US import), GTAIV, and to a degree force unleashed (The Star Wars logo is it's own thing, rest is helvetica) are the only ones I've got that have a logo on the spine. Rest are all helvetica.

I've got like £140 to spend on stuff from Xmas, so I'm window shopping about. But I think some of it I'm mostly gonna save towards game purchases n the like. Also some new t-shirts. So yeah, watch this space. Just no games I'm wanting coming out right away.

Well if we're taking photos n such Here's mine atm without much tidying up. I really do need a new shelf system. Got too many games n DVD/blu-rays to what I had when I first bought this.

It'd be nice to see a SWAT 5 or similar attempted. But yeah it won't be COD or a COD clone, so it'll get shat on. Even BF which isn't too far deviating from the COD type games I see tons of complaints of folks playing it lone wolf style, instead of the team play style (As the recent map unlock on PC/PS3/360 showed). I guess it'd do well on PC maybe. One problem I'd say is it almost absolutely requires headsets. Also I'm not sure how it plays on your tod. But it'd be a good DD-only MP game. Get in a handful of scenarios. See about spicing some up with dynamic AI. Then have 4 guys group up on Co-Op n play through it. Though I'm unsure what the replayabilty would be.

Yeah with how ME2 came out I'm wary of DA2 as well. Seems like it's getting stripped down for pretty much no reason at all (It's one of their best selling games, so I can't see why they'd need to aim for even more of a 'broader audience'.) I dislike that it's limited to only Shepard Hawke. It feels like they're turning DA into ME. And if I wanted ME, I'd fucking play ME. Which I do. Who the hell in marketing or whatever is telling them foks want things more 'action packed and streamlined'? "Oh it's totally what the market wants", "Jerry, the sales figures indicate that the market wants Dragon Age: Origins" Still got DA:O n DA:A to finish anyway. And there's plenty of other WRPGs coming out this year that I'm looking forward to that it's pretty safe to skip on DA2.

Played SWAT 3 a few times on LAN back in first year. Was pretty good. Can't remember too much of it though. I can't see it being a game that'd go down too well with the modern shooter crowd though.

You can get 1TB drives now for not much more than the price of a full game. They're not a bad investment.

Yeah PC games I can continue to play, regardless of Valve going down. Valve go down, 90% of my library is more than likely acquirable on Demonoid. PS Store/XBLA games? Not so much (maybe a few of the disc games may play in future if things like this PS3 hack prove to be useful, but setting up console to play those is also fiddly) If I'm buying a PC game, and it's the same, or >£1 difference between disc n digital, I'm getting the disc. Means I save bandwidth, I can install whenever,(and wherever as far as HDD goes), and part of DD is in reducing the physical printing, packaging n shipping costs, the game should be cheaper. So if it isn't, I ain't rewarding that. (Also in the "show your collection" kind of things it does sometimes suck that my shelf is short of a possible 70+ boxes)

Shitty localisations are shitty. No matter where you are. tbh if you're not going to put the effort in yourself on localising the game properly, just don't release it. The fans will no doubt to it for you, for free, and better. FFXIV was one of the more recent titles I've come across. Odds n sods still in Japanese. It makes it hard to play the game. Sure if Pong doesn't get localised right, no biggy. But a fucking RPG? Those are more than likely next to impossible to play if not translated. I know I'd be pissed if I popped FFXIII in my PS3 and it was all in Japanese, I don't see why the Japanese wouldn't be equally as pissed popping ME in their 360 n it being in English. It's incredibly lazy and reeks of cash grab on EA/Biowares part.

Post production n Video Editing. When doing 3D work you take the lighting n depth passes n all that lot so you can composite the 3D into the scene, then tweak those layers to make it fit right.

I probably wouldn't play it. I've got the recent Sam n Max, n got one of the new Monkey Islands n played it, didn't really like it. I guess the Sam n Max games are okay, but not entirely my cup of tea. Maybe something to dump on my sister later on.
