Wooh. pretty good session. For those watching at home FLD bumped up about 14 levels, we mostly hunted noobs, but had a good match with some high level angry french people. Oh man. Have I raged about the 25th Anniversary pack on here before? If not , and even if I have, let me rage again: WTF? Such a wasted opportunity. Could of had a couple of the N64 n GC titles thrown in. For Marios 25th anniversary they threw out a port of a title that only covers 8 years of their games. It's kind of sickening actually that Nintendo are doing this big '25 years in the family' campaign and all they can do is a shitty port. So little effort. Smooves you should be ashamed. Also have I mentioned we get a different package that's kind of toned down on the 'All Stars' stuff? I nearly bought it for my siblings Xmas present. Thankfully I got em Toy Story 3 instead.

I've had Nvidia all the way (except when it's Intel GMA ). Only time I've gone Nvidia by choice is my 8800GTS. Which was a very nice card at the time. Currently on a 9600GT. Which is not a very nice card Going to upgrade to a new PC in Summer hopefully. I'll probs by Nvidia then. I like the driver support, the 3D, the Physx. And especially the CUDA stuff, really helps with my video n 3D work.

So any digital creative folks here working on animation (Which since I love the hand made stuff can include that too) and CGI work? What packages to people use? Anyone got secret treasure troves of tutorials, sites, inspiration n such? For my self I'm a VFX student. I've been taught Softimage and Combustion, but am currently teaching myself Maya (Which is oh so much nicer package) and Nuke, Which I've not got much hands on with yet. I'll maybe post some more stuff later on, but it would be interesting to see if there's more folks here with interest in 3D, CGI or animation. Oh yeah I'm also a fan old claymation. It's time consuming n requires a fair bit of skill, but it's really nice to do and when done by the right people looks amazing. I did some back in art college n maybe I'll post it up later (though don't expect Aardman quality ) edit: oh yeah also maybe dump any of your works n stuff for folks to admire.

And while I'd heard that the other MMO's had done well in the shift to F2P I'd not heard figures til now. Though more n more MMO's going F2P did suggest the others went well.

Yeah I question how InFamous is repetivie, but Prototpye isn't? All the missions were pretty much the same sequence of find lowly soldier, sneak into base, take over field commander, go inside, assimilate....everyone, then leave n maybe fly a helicopter for a bit or beat up some beasties.
