  1. Well just an example but other day clown did post in LIM about XBL acting up for him. Which would be something better served in the xbox sub forum. And clown its not the "place where anything goes". It's the place where things that aren't appropriate elsewhere goes. Oh n chew if you maybe hopped on into game sub forums it might pick up? We've got several incentives in place for posting there which in the last few days has seen an increase in game related posting.

Bag there's a demo you could try. I've heard of it being good n bad. I've yet to hit up the demo that's been on my hard drive for months. Meant to be flexible in what you can do but let down by bad graphics.

See I don't fear that. Dignitas is just across the channel. Or at least in the next 60 years euthanasia laws or medical science will of advanced enough for it not to be an issue.

    Hmm. Might look into it.

Ive had to wear glasses since I was 14 and going blind is one of those things that stirs in the depths of my mind. It's not something I dwell on often but every now n then is wake up or whatever and can't see, I shit myself. Without vision I'd be ducked. Visual effect artist kinda implies use of eyes

BTW for those on the fence warhead uses the improved 2.5 engine so runs smoother. Crisis should too that got an update. Any DX10 card should run it okay. Most modern comp shouldn't have an issue. It is over 3 years old after all. Edit: what's bounty? Just basics ie story n genre.
  7. Yeah so much potential but malaria n patrols kinda ruined it. Stuff needed to be more durable too. Fire was awesome. Tracking about was cool. Everything else.... Not so much. Id give them a chance on the third though.

Yeah I think for the purpose of this thread fear n phobia are fairly inter changeable. Most folks seem to be qauntifying their level of fear anyway.

Despite fear of heights I don't mind flying. Only done it a few times though. Spiders are just slightly annoying. Flies more so. Spiders kill flies. I spare spiders life. I'll dump big ones in garden. Small can stay. Less than size of a cent.

To a minor degree dogs. I won't like shit myself n flee but I get raised heart rate n such. Small dogs not so much mind. Had a German sheep dog bite me back when I was young. Still have the scar on my leg. So not exactly irrational. Fear of heights n depths. I freak out if I can't feel the floor in swimming pool. As such I've not gone swimming for many years. London eye was fun. All the ways it could snap n land in Thames. Or the pods falling off. Edit: yeah cars scare me. Both in being ran over and running over. Drives Ben barmy cos he likes to dash across road n not have to wait on or walk to lights.
  11. Gum chewing. Got to have some gum. Stocked up before coming. If I take it out got to get a new piece. Procrastination can be pretty bad too.
  12. Unsure. Could be home in afternoon or late ish at night.
  13. So it works at least? Phone is having issues with it. Dawn French did a few if you Google about. One with a Japanese lass tapping in contrast to the whack it. Good one.

  15. Yesh. I saw a Tim had posted n was hoping for a holy grail reference. *explosion*
  16. lolwut? You guys have chocolate oranges yeah? Before eating you have to whack it on top to split it. Hence slogan "don't tap it, whack it!" Well this was a selection tin so different flavours but all pre whacked n individually wrapped slices. I can take a picture maybe?
  17. For whatever reason my ps3 can't connect to dads router. Fails the ip part every time. So nothing from me tonight. I'm still up for tomorrow as long as I'm home in time.
  18. Dead Space, Uncharted, Assassins Creed, Bioshock, Fable - all SP games The Sequels? You can at least see where we come from. I find it kinda funny cos now games have MP modes folks play them longer and buy less new games as a result. Console game sales dropped 25% last year, partially as a result of this I'm primarily a SP gamer. Can't be arsed too much on relying other people or the overly competitive nature. I do like games that are primarily MP only like TF2, MNC, BF:1943, n Blacklight. I think there should be more cheaper MP only titles. Get a SP Campaign game with a decent storyline, make MP separate. Still waiting on COD: Elite (e-lite...light..gettit?). $20 or so, with monthly/quarterly map packs for like $15. Crysis 2 will be an interesting prospect. Main game is Crytek, but the MP is made by Crytek UK(Free Radical) which could turn out pretty nice. Though I don't have high hopes on Crysis 2's Console friendly MP mode after seeing the few gameplay videos about. Seems very small(in relation to original Crysis) I'm with Battra on local MP and really dissapointed with it's decline this gen. I'd love to have had some co-op Uncharted action with siblings. So yeah cos I'm mostly and RPG/action game player I tend to be on SP modes and prefer a strong story.
  19. I don't currently do it anymore but back before I went to uni I had a 3 month stint at R&R Icecream. (Richmond & Roncadin). They make branded ice cream n such for supermarkets as well as Nestle icecream. My dad works there as Projects Manager in the Engineering dept, designing n making the various machines n such. So yeah that's how I got in. I was probably one of the few there native to UK. I started out on the ripple pump, topping up a hopper with chocolate(stinks to high heaven in large quantities), raspberry n toffee sauces for the cornetto icecreams. Thats where the cheap jeans come in cos at the end of the week they'd be caked in cack. I was then moved to the packing end of the line. There the boxes were pushed together then wrapped in clingfilm and a hot knife would cut through then conveyor push it up to us where we'd toss it on a pallette then wrap it up. I got to drive the small forklift truck too which was cool. Thing goes pretty fast. Scary fast when you have like a ton of icecream hanging off the front end and it's small, so no seat. Oh yeah that hot knife used to get pretty hot. It's always awesome to get to shout "Fire!" in an freezing cold factory. Normally it'd just burn itself out though. No huge issues, but once it did spread to the rest of the machine, but it's mostly melted so just a few singed smarties boxes. I was also there when we ran a short prototype line of Fab cornettos. I had a good eye on the Nutritional information and I think the fact one cone provided 1/4 of an Adults RDA of sugar is why it never went into full production. I ended up taking a few boxes home. Probs my largest sugar rush ever Then in the final month I was put on the Artic Roll line. It runs along a conveyor belt in one huge snake, we have a knife and cut it up (Theres a small segment inbetween cos the cake outer is in pieces, just the icecream in one strand) then we put it on a conveyor that goes into the freezer. most mundane thing ever. I was only english speaker there and it was some iranian twat heading that section and he'd put me on cutting for hours on end. Fucking hated it. In the end I got about £3,500 out of it which got me through Uni pretty well and an awesome PC to start uni with. At the time I hated the work, primarily the artic roll stuff, but in retrospect that cash sure was a nice boost. Especially now it's all ran out :/ What was somewhat annoying about this all is that unless you give the full explanation and just say "I worked at an Icecream factory" folks suddenly get this idea of it having oompa loompas running around and a river of vanilla icecream n such. A while before that, during yr 10 iirc, I was a volunteer helper at "Riding for the Disabled". I used to help out with horse riding as a kind of physiotherapy for paraplegic kids. Mostly just propping them up on the horse n walking/running along side them, bringing the horses to n from the stables, n cleaning out their hoofs n getting their tack on. 'My' Horse was a horrible beast called Red. Used to bite n stamp on me. Oh then after we were done we got to do some horse riding. I only got as far as going round at a light gallop though. Horse riding is pretty draining, You put in a fair amount of effort to control it. It's not just yanking on the reins. Gotta get you legs moving about too. We ended up moving though, but it was somewhat fun way to spend sunday mornings. edit: holy crap I wrote alot tl;dr: I used to work at an icecream factory, and before that a volunteer worker helping disabled kids ride horses.
  20. I'm only just on a laptop, so not yet looked over all the nuances of the rep system myself but: I believe the reasoning for a currently low count is to make it a bit more special than a willy nilly thing. As for TAY points just for repping, yeah that seems a bit silly, but I don't think Tali is being to precious over TAY points. We can discuss it and get back to you.
  21. So since last posting I've had my gran come around and I'm now at my dads. My gran got me some cash, Xmas themed pot noodles(She thought she was sooo funny), and I'm sure something else. My mum when getting my grans presents also found she'd forgotten some of ours, so I also got a tin of Terrys Chocolate Orange segments too off my mum. Pre-segmented n wrapped which is a bummer cos I can't whack it. My dads side have been overall pretty boring. mostly just cash and a tub of Celebrations. Cash will probably go on some games over the coming year or maybe a new shiny GPU. On the topic of cheap ass clothes: Tesco Jeans £4 are amazing. I used to have em back in my factory working days. Practically disposable.

And my sister is now kicking me off. So phone time until later or tomorrow I guess.

  23. Gmt :12.00 Me: 12.00 BTW utc n gmt aren't always the same. British summertime off sets us/gmt. Universal coordinated time(fuck the french) does make sense as tay time zone. Means people only need to know theirs to utc, rather than theirs to a dozen others
  24. If I can gain possession of the tv id be up for tonight. Dunno if dads net is multiplayer friendly though. I'll try in a bit.
  25. Yeah some publishers need to learn to be flexible on price. Cos its not that certain games are bad, just not worth the $60 they're asking for. Some games are made on q shoe string and would be cool at $30 or $40. But publishers go ahead n stick em at same price as AAA titles that cost tens of millions.
