Despite kinda slagging it off I am somewhat tempted to legally own Far Cry 2. It's still a pretty game, and good for a ramble. There might even be mods that tweak a few things.
  2. Ethan got it. I won't actually, cos I'm gonna see about some MNC PC so torrenting would fuck me over too. I might download stuff on Steam though. That gives them enough lag to be annoying, but not enough for them to suddenly realise someone's torrenting.
  3. From the sounds of it we're gonna get in take away (something chicken) then head out for Tron Legacy. edit: Nevermind looks like I'm going to be torrenting as much as possible. My housemates will also be raiding.
  4. I think a sequel to Half Life 2: Episode 2 might be a good idea. I think about the only improvement I'd want out of it is for it to launch.

  6. My Mic is apparently dead. See what 10 minutes of charge will give it. (And if I can remember how it works) edit: Woot I remembered. And I think it may have some charge in it (Just me forgetting how to properly turn it on) If anyone else wants to hop in jsut yell up. Btw I've not played since like the month or so that it came out. I had a kinda refresh yesterday, but expect me to be pretty bad. Actually you near a laptop/PC. Want ot hop onto forum chat?
  7. Gimme a few minutes to get my PS3 settled back in home (aka: Set up wifi again. Wish it would save that data like PSP n phone) And yeah I'll hop on. If theres a couple more takers I'd be up for co-op.
  8. Bioshock is great. Really sets you up for the game. You crash land in your plane then moments later you're diving through an underwater city. Really hypes you up. Love it every time.
  9. No tattoos at all show up? You know to scroll through beard/clothes/tats/hair etc yeah?
  10. "Facbook" was the most searched for term in 2010. People really need to learn to use bookmarks n address bar.

  12. Yeah, that's what I'm trying to get across. It's the same issue we've had with the PXOD GOTY in that cos we ain't "professional" game journous that get games dumped on us it's just the games we've bought n played ourselves. So they may not be the Greatest overall games of the year. But they were the greatest we'd played. (not helped by some of us using this year to clear backlogs of older games ) Next year looks brighter.
  13. Because if the person making the 'top games of 2010' list hasn't ever played it how are they to consider it? Thats where popularity helps.

I concur with ethan. I've not been that impressed. It's mostly cos I'm not wanting to build up a backlog. If I didn't care for the backlog I'd be jumping over a few of these. Like GTAIV. But I don't care enough for it that I don't think I'd complete it. I got GTAIV on PS3(with my PS3). It was fun, and Liberty City Episodes are at a good price. But i'm unsure if I'd ever boot them up.
  15. Before watching this go back n watch the FFIX intor. That was the first FF intor I'd seen. This was the second: Certainly quite a change. And man the graphics were awesome. It was like my first PS2 game iirc (not first I played though) So yeah I'm sat down and I'm just Other month we ended up sitting down and watching all the FF openings from VII to XII. I hadn't seen VIII's before then. It's my housemates favourite.
  16. Well FIFA does have a more far reaching appeal than NBA. (If the N n the I don't give that away) That doesn't make it a better game. As I said. Whether you're interested in basketball or not, this game is a technical achievement for being realistic in it's motions and gameplay. It is a top game of 2010, regardless of how you feel about sports. But it does increase the chance folks have played it. Railroad 2 could be a technical achievement for being realistic in it's motions and gameplay. But it means squat if it's not played by many folks due to limited appeal.

  18. SSHD was one of the first PSN games I got. A pretty nifty twin stick shooter, pretty challenging. Though I've maybe not played enough twin stick shooters to judge.
  19. As in too high or too low? Bear in mind most F2P business models work off the 20:80 model, 20% paying for the 80% who don't. That knocks off at least 55million, leaving 15million or so as payees. Which is more on par with WoW. WoW costs $12 a month. Which I'd imagine there's probably a good average of $10 between the paying folks of Zynga games. Most might only spend a couple bucks, some might be the "whales". Taking into account the playerbase for Zyngas games probably have a 95% crossover (My sister plays several of the 'Ville' games) and $600million seems pretty spot on for income.
  20. Facebook gaming fascinates me. And it stuff like this that fuels that: http://www.appdata.com/apps/facebook/291549705119-cityville From nothing to 70million in less than a month. That's figures traditional publishers would be drooling over. 15million daily users. WoW has 12million monthly subscribers. WoW does rake in more cash mind. ($1billion a year on WoW to Zyngas $600million) But even if WoW adopted a F2P micro-transaction funded model I doubt they'd ever see those numbers. This is a company that didn't exist 3 years ago, and is now rubbing shoulders with the likes of EA, Activision, Take-Two, Ubi etc. The ROI on these games must be massive too. No way these cost the $28million or so AAA titles cost, yet they can rake in just as much.
  21. It was looking a bit desaturated, thought it was the photo. (And there was the nagging thought it was in Moscow on the main plaza but St Petersburg sounded good enough, n St-ey) Well I'm good for the style n country. Anyway main point was it's a real place, and it's used as Tetris is from Russia. In case the tune doesn't give it away.
  22. Tetris City. Or as it's more commonly known to the rest of the world as: St Petersburg, Russia.
  23. XII I definitely liked much more than most seemed to. I loved the singleplayer MMO like aspect to it. Yeah it had no overworld but the world was awesomely big and it wasn't as linear as X n XIII. The Gambit system was pulled off quite well. It looked great for a PS2 game. I think about the only thing I particularly disliked was Vaan. Everything else was pretty nice. Oh the chaining system was fucked up too. That'd be something where patching would be good. As for ones I've played: VII, IX, X, XII fully and I, II(I think...) IV, XIII n beta of XIV. I'd love to give VIII a shot but I hear the re-release don't work on PSP. or any of the ripped CFW ones. And VI. I have it on an emu on my PSP. Just need to sit down with the PSP some point. I've heard good things of it.
