  1. Male Shep's voice actor and Female Shep's voice actress are both Canadian. I know the voice actors are Canadian, I'd just never noticed them sounding particularly Canadian. Mark Meer is kinda meh for a voice actor anyways. He tries to do it too seriously and ends up sounding kinda corny. I'd definitely say Jennifer Hale is the better one of the bunch, though they (Bioware) seem to have made up for that with the voice acting in Dragon Age 2.
  2. I pulled the file sizes straight from the Steam downloader, so interpret that how you will. For comparison, Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 are both roughly 10-11 GB.
  3. Portal 2 is now available for pre-load. Seems a bit odd, given that the official release is still a week away. It's also worth noting that some of the content in the on-going Valve ARG hints at a possible early release for Portal 2. EDIT: Also, as far as file sizes go: Portal: ~1200 MB/1.2 GB Portal 2: ~9900 MB/9.9 GB
  4. Updates to Killing Floor have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include: One additional map has been prematurely released. -Aperture OH SHI-
  5. Picked up Magicka Vietnam, and no one to play it with. Le sigh.

Ah. Only the host needs Magicka Vietnam in order for everyone else to play, so base your decision on that if you want.

holy sheet it needs more than one person to play. Or not l;laying for a few weeks has lost my edge.

You can play it solo, it's just incredibly difficult. The frost and shield elements are your best friends during solo play.

      KITE -ALL- THE THINGS?

  6. I'd say that, if anything, BF2 definitely popularized it. Were there other modern shooters before BF2? Definitely. But BF2 practically exploded in popularity, and is still played to this day.
  7. Ian McDonald, Charles Stross, Ken MacLeod and Iain M. Banks, to name a few. Great modern sci-fi authors. Now, back to Mass Effect: I hear ME3 features a return of RPG elements, especially regarding character customization and weapon customization. Fuck yes, dudes. Fuck yes! Hopefully it's not a return to the clusterfuck that was ME1's skill progression and inventory. You'll be able to upgrade and evolve skills multiple times. Take Incinerate in ME2, for example. Once you maxed that out and chose a specialization for it, that was it. It was done. You'll be able to do more than that in ME3. Also, there will be weapon mods that will apparently change the appearance of the weapons themselves, just based on which mods you use.
  8. Male Shep's voice actor and Female Shep's voice actress are both Canadian.
  9. It's also the surname of one of the main characters in the Mass Effect novels. DUN DUN DUNNNNNN.
  10. I don't think it's the whole ultra-tank deal (Shale was pretty damn OP, though). Every time I died to the High Dragon, it was always because the little baby dragons tore my healer apart and I couldn't kill them quick enough, or because I had too many melee damage-dealers. Quickly solved that problem.
  11. Duel the boss of Act 2, then get back to me.
  12. Completely forgot about Ikaruga. Sorry Doom, you're benched now. Forgot about Paper Mario as well, fixed it. 1. Half-Life 2 2. Mass Effect 2 3. Super Metroid 4. Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door 5. Portal 6. Metroid Prime 7. Half-Life 8. Paper Mario 9. Mass Effect 10. Dragon Age: Origins 11. Super Mario 64 12. God Hand 13. Viewtiful Joe 14. No More Heroes 15. Ikaruga
  13. Oh no, it is. DA2 broke 1 million sales in two weeks... I know it's not doing poorly, but "it's doing well" and "it's doing as well as they'd hoped" are two entirely different things. In that case, it's probably just "doing well".
  14. Watched the Foo Fighters documentary last night, pretty damn entertaining. The streamed live performance afterwards was good too.

  15. Oh no, it is. DA2 broke 1 million sales in two weeks, though it's worth noting that this is slower than ME2 which broke 2 million in one week. I'm not one to complain about free games though. Already gave the free copy I got out of it to a friend.
  16. Oh dear. Quarian on Quarian action. I'm not sure I can handle it.

  17. YouTube to the rescue! If you watch that in the 1911 view that youtube put in for April Fool's, it turns from ominous to creepily funny.
  18. For all Foo Fighters fans: Wasting Light They posted their new album (which comes out in stores on April 12th) on their website. The full thing too.
  19. And then Spy Shep hits you with their elbows, since you can't actually melee at all in the game.
  20. WHATEVS, MAN. She still voiced Samus, even if they were grunts of pain and such.
