I've been meaning to pick this up since they actually released it on PS3, but with so many other games to play I haven't gotten around to it. Glad you enjoyed it, though. About how long would you say it is? I'll probably end up getting it when it's on sale. $45 seems like a bit much.

Woo: my staying up late last night helped us to win the first (and likely most trying) week of the Fall World vs. World tournament. My guild leader was commanding for about 24 hours straight. This is how Gate of Madness wins matches. It ain't how we're supposed to, but we have some damn dedicated players. It played a huge part in how we managed the longest (still) win streak in GW2 history—even against servers that would have rolled us otherwise. If you check the graph for the week, it's pretty clear how we tend to clutch things with all-nighters the last night before scores are tallied. I'm proud of my server and guild.

That and they remind me of a wild pack of dudebros. But I'll probably buy the game if/when I get a PS4. If I can manage FFXIII until the final dungeon, I'm sure this will entertain me.

Final day of the first match week of the Guild Wars 2 WvW Fall Tournament, so I'm staying up until . . . currently 3AM to get our lead for the win.

While I am partial to turn-based systems, I've come to terms with the fact that most of them nowadays are going to be either strategy RPGs or something that looks like it was made in RPG Maker. And I don't mind an action RPG as long as the combat is decent. While the story and characters in the Tales games I've played tend to really bother me, I do like the combat. And heck, you could end up with a game like FFXIII where, despite being turn-based, I thought the combat was horrific.

Exactly what I was thinking, GOH. But like Ethan said, those combat animations!

The game looks fun, but the cast looks awful. Well, the character design in general. A J-pop rock band! Although I guess it could be worse: could look more like KH.

Definitely would like to try it out. I have an extra copy of Tropico 4 if you want it in exchange.

Huge feature patch released yesterday with multifarious improvements (or the opposite in some cases). You can read the full notes here. What did I do immediately? Get the Honored Skritt title (Trash Collector achievement). Why? I happen to keep all the trash items that people generally sell to vendors on me, and in large amounts. So when I logged in I was immediately at 38/51 for the achievement. Woo! I wouldn't be surprised if I'm the first person without early access to the game to get the title. Rangers also got a huge buff. Huge.

About 13 hours into Tales of Xillia now. I need to beat it before Ar no Surge—or whatever stupid way they're capitalizing that; otherwise, I won't be finishing it for a while. Also played more Divinity: Original Sin recently. I think I got burned out on it for a bit. I'm 63 hours in, and Steam says my last session was 3.3 hours. It's a great game in many respects. Many modern RPGs should take a page from it. Unfortunately, it's upholding the "Early Access" title: unfinished and riddled with bugs. A huge patch released yesterday on Guild Wars 2. Been busy with that, too.

Tales of Xillia. Aside from the usual cheesy un-funny anime humor, it's a breath of fresh air after Graces. Jude isn't perfect, but he's leagues above Asbel in terms of irritation.

Yeah, I never really had trouble with that. Once you're level 20 or so it only takes a few kills. I'm happy with the rest of the updates, anyway. Many quality of life fixes there. I'm looking forward to the class changes. With my mains being a longbow ranger and mace warrior, I'm getting some love.

Aside from Guild Wars 2, I've been spending a little time in One Finger Death Punch. It's surprisingly good and addicting for a two-button game.
