    Brink just pisses me off. I was in the process of redownloading the game when I remembered why I deleted it. Friggin' half-wits who don't work together at all dominate most servers. Once or twice, I've had a good team. If you're on the opposing side of a team that works together, you just get rolled.

    Leveling any non-affinity skills will not level your character. This is why many players suggest you choose secondary skills as your primary seven, a way around the backwards scaled leveling. So you can crouch in a room with an NPC who cannot see you, turn on auto-walk and increase your sneak all you like without worry of leveling.

    Yes, I would complain. Just as I would have complained when EADM introduced fees for long-term(2 year) downloading of games. If I was a person who complained about these things, I would certainly do so. The point is that it's there. If you're trying to table a justifiable digital distribution service, you don't continue to implement elements that place you below the bar. You copy what works, and improve upon that. Increasingly draconian standards are silly, backwards things in the face of advancement. I won't assume you're a partisan just because you're arguing them, but anyone who supports the relentless wading through a growing mire of fees, needless restrictions and DLC, premeditated or not, surely is a masochist.

    If you fix the level scaling, you should be alright. I'm using a bit of magic and stealth, and it's working out fine in the main story. You just have to be a bit more surreptitious at parts. I had the same issue you did without fixed level scaling.

    *nods* I usually don't purchase DLC, but the ATQ Binary World was unavoidable. Though it was nearly a game in and of itself, and not a map pack or hats. Also bought the Humble Indie Bundle 3 for a cool one dollar.

    If it plays like a Battlefield game and not Modern Warfare with vehicles, I'll be buying it for PC. That's also assuming I can somehow circumvent Origin. Which is complete fucking garbage.

    The crux is simple: people expect too much from EA. Putting aside their place as a video game company, EA is infamous for duplicity and asshattery. If anyone expects anything else from the sudden shift which clever marketing has put forth, it's their fault for being gullible. "Hey, guys. We're EA, and we're tubular now! We said so in an interview! We paid some game journalists to run some nifty articles on how we've changed!" "Will do!" Nothing questionable EA has done is much of a surprise when looking at their track record.

    You can make a server on your own PC if you open the ports and just keep the game running.
