Shut up Excel, no need to rub it in. (doesn't really like Layton games, but feels the need to buy this one just to have SOMETHING over stupid Excel with all his stupid Wii games that I totally never wanted anyway) :(

DS is region free so just import the game. As for the Euro games not coming to the US: Hack your Wii.

  12. God damn it Chewy, fucking laughed my ass off at all those stories. What about some of the dumbest reasons why people have returned things? I mean not like things they destroyed but maybe a game they got bored of or hated
  13. The thing that gets me the most is, he didn't even try to hide that he was a paid shill. If I was paid off for something, I wouldn't use such definitive language like ' I Can’t Believe It: The Razer Blade Might Not Just Be the Future of PC Gaming—It May Be the Future of PCs I mean christ way to be subtle! Then there's... followed by WAT

I've had similar debates, it makes me mad. I have a hard time letting things go. For the record, wanting more games of a series is not the same as wanting more crack, thats just dumb.

  17. OK! So its out in Europe since last Friday. And it is brilliant. Such a great game, so many little touches that elevate it above standard RPG fare. Every gameplay element ties into each other. A perfect example is exploration. Your rewarded exp and other points for leveling up skills for finding new areas and landmarks, and then you can fast travel to landmarks you've discovered, which helps with making mini quests you've taken on easier because you can fast travel to locations you need to be at to kill unique enemies or collecting a rare item, then in turn by completing those quests your rewarded exp and items and money and your affinity with the townspeople goes up letting you take on greater quests and get to know people better in the town. The battle system, refreshingly for a JRPG, focuses on buffs, debuffs and cooldowns of moves, and is a delight to play with. There are western style additions to the game that make the game completely chore feeling free. Fast travel, a list of townspeople and what time they are around at, a menu that lets you instantly change the time, and the vast majority of mini quests that don't require you to go back to the quest giver to complete. The story is interesting and dark in places, not afraid to kill off characters you'd have thought would have been with you for the entire journey. The environment graphics are lovely and the draw distance is massive. The character models lack the detail of the environments but do their job. The music is AWESOME. So so so good. Easily the most engrossing and fun JRPG I've played this generation. OH, yeah the dub. Its very good so far, and the Japanese subbed option is there. Only problem is the subtitles are based on the English lines. Whilst the lines aren't that different from the original script, they still sometimes contain that British English type of inflection, and that carries over to the NPCS as well in their dialogue.
  18. Bought it new €40 in Gamestop today. Games TM and Eurogamer reviews solidified my decision to buy it. First game I've bought new at launch in quite a while
  19. My girl got my a 3DS and Ghost Recon which came free with it (it was a choice between all of the Ubisoft games that were free with it) I wanted the blue 3DS just because I like the different colour's around the seperate screens. So I had the last blue one reserved in HMV. My girlfriend was asked by a parent and her son if they could have the blue one, she said "I've got my own boy who wants the blue one!
  20. Last Story and Pandora's Tower for Europe next year :D

That reminds me, I need to hack my Wii to play Imports.

  21. Interesting is the mod replies. Q: I bought a RETAIL copy IN UK but I live OUTSIDE UK. Will I be able to ACTIVATE the game or not? A: No. Can only activate the UK boxed copy in UK (includes Isle of man etc) Quote: Q: If I buy a boxed UK copy and activate it in the UK, will I be able to play it in other regions? A: That's a most definitive yes. Couldn't a person technically do that faking IP thing for this pretend there in the UK, activate it, then play it? It does use Steamworks doesn't it?
  22. I always knew apple fanboys were stupid unevolved monkeys!
