  1. Heh, looking back on this I'm a much different person now. Man, in less than a year, I've discovered that I'm gay, and dropped my ties with religion altogether. Time sure does fly by...
  2. Oh, we've started throwing insults out now, have we? Is this what it's devolved to? Not debate, not actual points in your argument, but responding with the equivalent of "Well, fuck you"? Frankly, I expected better from you. If you dislike homosexuals, if you think we're heathens, if you think that we're going to hell, and that it offends you to think we might be granted the right to marry, then just say it. It won't win you points, but it will certainly be better than trying to justify it with points that are simply untrue. But I will be having none of this foolishness of attacking another person just because they doubt the legitimacy of a higher being. It's a petty, selfish way to go about things, and I despise those who resort to such tactics. If we aren't going to discuss this in a civilized manner, then there's hardly any point in having the discussion at all.
  3. And these differences affect her argument how? If that's true, then I guess only homosexual couples should be allowed to decide on whether gay marriage should be allowed or not. Oh, wait, that's not how it works at all, stubborn, bigoted assholes are traditionally the ones that get to decide that, and they tell us that we can't marry. If straight people can be hateful prudes and judge what gay people can't do, I don't see why a straight person can't say that we can marry.
  4. Inherently different? How so? Because we have sex in a different way, or because children are impossible without a sperm donor/adoption? Or is this a morality play?
  5. Now that I'm on the PS3, I need to add you guys. I'm TheCheese33.
  6. My free 30 days of Plus got me in. I'm telling you, with bonuses like this, I'm seriously considering jumping for a full subscription. Anyway, I've been playing it a bit, and it's very fun.
  7. The demo isn't working anymore, at least not for me. Like, it won't even boot up. Says it's expired.
  8. I have it pre-ordered, but with people getting fired from Eat, Sleep, Play and David Jaffe leaving the studio effective a month or so after the game launches, with no DLC or expansion planned, I think I might cancel it. I don't know. What do you guys think?
  9. Add me on PSN. I'm TheCheese33.
  10. They're hating because they see the events unfolding in Washington and California and know it's only time before their bigoted rules against gay marriage are struck down by the courts. That doesn't make it any less disappointing to see, but we can take pride in knowing that their horrific discrimination cannot last forever, and is slowly crumbling away.
  11. Just got destarred from Kotaku. Feels like I just joined the mile-high club... http://kotaku.com/5883490/a-follow+up-with-david-jaffe-about-that-oral-sex-remark?comment=46809336#comments

I never got starred. I've always been bitter about that!

  12. Either a bit later or another day. I have classes round then.
  13. I know at least one of you will get a real kick out of seeing Disney World in the 1950s. Such a beautiful rendition of Golden Slumbers playing in the background, too.
  14. Beat Uncharted 3 on the 6th. Fun game, but it kind of collapses on itself in the end.
  15. Insulted? A giant section of my high school, for one. Half of them were talking about how they were praying for Obama to be shot because "a Muslim president will bring about the end of the world." I've been vocal about my support of Obama in college, and several people have told me that I will be in hell for it. And I haven't even told anyone at college, except for a fellow gay friend, that I'm gay. Now I'm almost afraid to.
  16. To say that a state regulating marriage is illegal opens the door to incest and polygamy. I know people think that's a straw man argument but really, where should the line be drawn? Perhaps you feel the line should be drawn at two people but how can a court decide that based on a law being discriminatory? Anti-miscegenation laws were struck down in state legislatures or with ballot initiatives and that is the correct path for those who wish to legalize gay marriage. 1. It IS a straw man argument. 2. Who says the line should be drawn anywhere, other than children and violence? What gives you the right to decide what is wrong? Because some imaginary man in the sky tells you that's what's proper? Because some ancient tome is somehow applicable in the modern age?
  17. Correction, Pseudo-intellectuals tend to vote Democrat. So do anti-religious bigots. Perhaps I'm a little biased, but coming from several religious areas, I have met way more religious bigots than anti-religious bigots. Also, war on religion is a load of horseshit. If anyone's leading a war on religion, it's the Christians attacking every other belief.
  18. As I would question anyone who refuses to see the good things Obama has done for the country. I don't think he's the best, but he's certainly not as bad as people would lead you to believe. He's certainly better than any of these morally-depraved assholes running on the GOP side this year, anyway. But it's hardly a GOP-Democrat thing for me. I would've voted for Bush on both terms, because I did not like John Kerry or Al Gore, either.
  19. Or maybe they're intelligent people who see that both parties are supremely fucked up right now and only vote for the least terrible choice, because that's all they can do. I refuse to subscribe to a party because I understand that both are in shambles (one more so than the others), and I don't want to be associated with certain ideas that each side carries.

  21. In the next console generation, I see games being sold physically as well as digitally. In that way, we'll begin to see the rise of the eternally-sold product; once it's up on PSN or XBL, I don't see any motivation other than legal for it to be pulled off the service eventually.
