Saw Mortal Kombat again. Cheesy as hell, but I still love it. Then again, Mortal Kombat's recent release made me realize that I just love Mortal Kombat in general, so I may be a little biased. -
My semester ends this Friday, and summer begins. I can't concentrate on Finals. I JUST WANT FREEDOM!

I can use the excuse that it's a joint get for my brother and I. He's getting an Alienware m11x pretty soon (a laptop I had a chance to get for myself, but foolishly got an XPS Studio instead), and since the GOG version is DRM free, I'll be able to let him play it as well. I don't see any moral issues with this, since it will only be between my brother and myself.

I was watching the Quick Look for Hector, and boy, the team that developed it (Not Telltale, Telltale is only publishing it) really skimped on the voices. It's like every voice is equally awful.

I'm not saying the CONCEPT is worthless. It works in plenty of other fighters. But in MK, they are not enhanced enough to make it worth the cost. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuullshit. Did you even spend an hour playing the game with people who know what they're doing? Already a bunch of tournaments for it and it's been confirmed for EVO. Then again, Marvel VS Capcom 2 was on EVO and that's as balanced as an angry drunk Scotsman on a trampoline. Yeah, If I remember correctly, there's a team of characters that make you unstoppable if you choose them in MvC 2.

I don't know, I'm using the Steam Enhanced Edition. Any way, I eventually found my way around the problem. It was during some fight with 20/30 guys, and I figured out that if I let my elven compatriots do some of the dirty work for me, the game doesn't freak out and crash to desktop.

Fuck roommates. No one has any respect for discs. My Halo: Reach disc is in tatters because everyone around here uses discs like they're fucking coasters or Frisbees.

I wasn't sure whether or not I would be moving back at the time, but, last year I bought my friend a used copy of Ratchet & Clank Future: ToD since Gamestop was out of new copies. I specifically told the douchebag Gamestop employee to make sure the disc was in pristine condition, he appeared to understand and we left with the game after he hooked us up. We checked inside the case once we got in the car and found.. Ta-Da! A smudgy f*cked up disc with several scratches!

I don't even know how people can damage discs as much as they do. Just put it in the fucking case on a shelf and nothing will ever happen to it. It takes absolutely no effort to do this.

60 usd a disc? With current exchange rate, I'm looking at 100-115 usd per disc

Wow. Wasn't expecting much from the MK soundtrack, but the theme for Reptile is absolutely addicting and infectious. You feel like kicking ass when listening to it, which is appropriate for a Mortal Kombat game. -

Ichi the Killer. It's like a comedy, a horror movie and an action movie all rolled into one messed up movie. I almost threw up during the tongue part, but Ichi himself is rather hilarious (except for his obsession with rape, which I found to be extremely disturbing). -
Well, Ichi the Killer was certainly... interesting. I think I almost vomited during the part with the tongue.

Damn rage-quitters. It still counts as a win for my TrueSkill ranking, but it only counts as a Disconnect for them, so their win/lose ratio is untouched. Is it really that humiliating to lose to Scorpion? I can't help if I fight best with him.

I hate these rage-quitters! Just because I play a mean Scorpion doesn't give you an excuse to disconnect. At least it still counts as a win for me.

Yeah, it's pretty awful. I checked a few forums to see what the die-hards were saying about it, and it turns out they're the ones that are rage-quitting. They even call it an insult if you use Scorpion's first Fatality, like you killed their mothers.
But I still play, because the game is absolutely fantastic. I enjoy it so much more than Street Fighter.

Seriously, console devs: People figured this out on PC ages ago, a disconnect has to count as a loss, or people will keep disconnecting!

Of course. After all, it's not like they withheld information for one whole day at the least. It's not like they waited three days before taking action. It's not like they neglected to inform others on the potential reasons for why they were shutting down the network, or warned the users about the possible outcomes. Was it a possibility that the intrusion wasn't serious? Yes. Does that mean they don't have the responsibility to inform their customers about the dangerous possibilities, or report immediately when they are fully aware of the severity? I think the answer is obvious.

I can't even begin to describe how angry I am at the commenters blindly defending Sony's actions. I am this close to leaving entirely, but someone needs to stick around to cancel out their bullshit.
