  1. It's good news, for sure. They seem to have had their hope reinvigorated for PC games, so maybe it won't be too long before we see American Nightmare on PC.
  2. People are annoyed about a lack of L4D 3? We all know that if Gabe came out and announced that tomorrow people would start a very angry mob.
  3. Not sure but it was almost definitely profitable, it got lots of rave reviews after all. Makes sense to develop a sequel.
  4. Did you play Amnesia? So ridiculously scary!
  5. To my delight, it seems Frictional Games are releasing a new game. It was being referred to as the new Amnesia for a while, and I don't know if "A Machine for Pigs" is the subtitle or the actual title, but whatever. Anyway here's what we have so far. http://www.nextfrictionalgame.com/inject_db.php?select_user=%27%20or%20%271%27=%271 Coincidentally, I just completed Amnesia last night. Loved it, terrified by it, and ready to be terrified by this again. There's a ton of speculation about what's going on with this, as Frictional are being quite cryptic. This thread on Reddit seems to hit some interesting points. Discuss!
  6. I vote for the like function. the rep drama is just too much sometimes.
  7. The Soul Calibur character creation really seems to be something.. http://i.imgur.com/Obwz8.jpg

It seems really impressive. I saw a pikachu one somewhere that was completely disturbing.

Yeah, I'm loving everything I'm seeing about SC V... except for the actual fighting, which still looks like garbage :)

    3. Saturnine Tenshi
  8. I did watch one with a friend though I forget which one... She had recorded it on her Sky+ box and we just sat and chilled out watching that So good. Pretty sure it was the same one, lots of intimate shows in strange places like abandoned factories haha.
  9. Argh, jealous. I love all their albums, I just sorta plucked that song out of the air, I was listening to them all run through on shuffle hah... I really want to see them live. Definitely on my bucket list
  10. Those are very cool. I'm particularly fond of the Silence of the Lambs one. Edit: Shame that Nick Frost didn't don his "Got Wood" shirt to be in character like Simon Pegg did. Ah well.
  11. It's very pretty cover art, indeed. I'm a sucker for good cover art. I mean I don't buy something just because I like the cover but if it's also got it, then that's an awesome bonus. As it is I really like that cover.
  12. Don't get me wrong, great game, but I mean... That price? Really? It came out YEARS ago, and as far as I'm aware they've not added anything new. Really should have been cheaper, at least in my opinion. Still a very good game and I hope you enjoy it!
  13. Yeah I have absolutely no idea why it's called Tyrannosaur.. I presume it might become clear later. I'm hoping the main character is in fact a dinosaur in disguise.
  14. I played the original mod and got bored quickly, don't see myself getting this, especially at the price point. I've heard that it's essentially well designed corridors, and it is very short. A shame, really.
  15. It's pretty cheap considering it only came out last week, I believe. £10 in HMV I'll let you know if I like it
  16. Absoloutely. The only benefit I can really see to this though is that it's something for a CV so you can potentially get a "proper" job, if you've nothing on the CV. Other than I just... Don't know.
  17. That is... Wow. Bullshit. How is this even legal? If you're working then surely you need to be paid minimum wage, not JSA. You're not seeking a job if you're working for Tesco, you're in a job. This is... I know I'm stating the obvious but I mean... It's all so obvious isn't it? What the fuck?
  18. This is supposedly rather good, and so I have brought it Paddy Considine had a hand in writing Dead Man Shoes with Shane Meadows, for those who know of that. Shane Meadows stuff isn't huge outside the UK but yeah, I'm excited to watch this. Trailer for the intrigued:
  19. Yeah, people get irritated with Bioware because they seem to have a knack for noticing the flaws in a system and so totally gutting that system from the sequel. As mentioned, the inventory system in ME 1 & the lack thereof in ME 2. Also the party equipment stuff in Dragon Age 2 and stuff like that. In general I really enjoyed the ME 3 demo though. The running animations looked kinda funny but I'm hoping that's a case of pre-release code as it is just lazy animating. All in all it's a fine looking game, and the shooting feels much tighter and more enjoyable than ME 2's. Pity the demo didn't show too much story off, but I guess that's the point. I'm officially a little more excited for ME 3 than I was a few weeks ago.
  20. Y'know, I had a Religious Education teacher in school once. He was a Christian. He told me something that has stuck with me long since I left school. "I know evolution to be true, but I believe in Christianity." I think it takes a certain degree of strength to say that you know certain things you've been taught to and subsequently chosen to believe all your life might not be entirely based in fact. You can still follow the teachings, you can still believe in a higher power, but really, creationism doesn't have any legs to stand on.
  21. I'm excited for a new protagonist, be it Desmond or another historical assassin. One thing I loved about AC is I learnt things I didn't know about the renaissance, even among all the fiction (Machiavelli is an assassin lololol), so I wouldn't be too disappointed with another history setting. Something that does play on my mind is how a present/futuristic setting would work. No one is using swords anymore, the whole swordplay battle mechanic would be thrown out of the window, presumably. I'm intrigued to see where it goes, anyway. I'm just glad they're finally moving on from Ezio.
  22. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/335965/new-resident-evil-6-details-it-doesnt-return-to-series-roots/ "Zombies will return in RE6 "but now they run, jump at you, even use weapons and as such are different from those encountered in previous games" "Kobayashi kicked off by providing an insight into the design of the game, saying that it isn't a return to the basics of the series and instead builds on the good points of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. He also specifically mentions the desire to create a more 'colorful' game." Hm..
  23. I also did what Hot Heart did. That backing track... Awesome.
