Finally caved, eh? I'm up to four at the moment: Kirby, Luigi, Mega Man, and Sonic. I did get Kirby for free, though. I want Meta Knight and King Dedede but they're exclusive to Best Buy and the only one near me hasn't had them in months. Who the hell thought retailer exclusive amiibos were a good idea, anyway? Aren't they hard enough to find as it is?

Oh no, they definitely did it for regular missions too. I'm certain of it. It's been a while since I've done those so maybe they changed it at some point, but I remember many a frustrated hour cursing at the game for that very reason.

Grand Theft Auto V was the specific case that got me pissed off, although it's not the only game that does it. I know I've seen it in other games too, but I can't remember which ones off the top of my head.

I really hate it when games put you on a team with shared lives, then automatically decide everyone loses if one person dies, even if everyone else is still alive. Bullshit.

I have a major problem with reboots that not only shit all over the spirit of the original, better movie (or movies), but even go so far as to retcon the originals to make it so they never happened. It takes a lot of balls to write your shitty remake in a way that so blatantly screams "THIS IS THE REAL STORY AND THE OLD ONE DOESN'T MATTER." It's just so disrespectful.

How is it that we live in the year 2015 and the T-1000 somehow looks worse than it did in 1991. Also, good job spoiling the twist in the first trailer, marketing guys.

Since One Punch Man only comes out once a month and the wait for the next One Piece is killing me, I picked up Boku No Hero Academia (My Hero Academia) to fill the void. I imagine some of you probably know about it already, but it's about a world where 80% of the population is born with a superpower, or "Quirk" as the series chooses to call them. The main character, Midoriya, is one of the few unlucky people to be born with no Quirk whatsoever, but it's still his dream to attend Yuuei Academy, Japan's most prestigious hero school. Even though the series is Japanese, it obviously takes a lot of cues from western cape comics. One thing I really like are the pages drawn to look like the cover of an American comic book, like this one:

It's like in Michael Bay's Transformers where Optimus Prime and Megatron are duking it out in downtown Chicago in front of a million people with smartphones, then in Revenge of the Fallen they "covered it up" somehow. I've decided that anytime that happens it's because the story is secretly a crossover with Men in Black and they have access to a neuralyzer the size of the Chrysler Building.

I heard it being used as the ending theme for Jojo. Didn't know anime ever used western songs like that.

I heard it's being made by the studio that did the Thief reboot, which makes me nervous since nobody seemed to like that game.

It can't happen soon enough.

Anime purists who insist that every dub ever made is terrible regardless of what show it is or who is involved in localizing it. It's fine if you prefer to watch shows in their original language but that doesn't mean no one is capable of doing a decent translation, you fucking dorks.

I've been keeping my eye on that one. The music was done by the guy who scored Binding of Isaac, one of my favorite game soundtracks ever.
