Did that remake of Jojo's Bizarre Adventures ever come to fruition? I kinda want to give the series a try but I'd rather not watch some old series that's in standard definition and 4:3 if there's a newer version.

I dunno, they would both play the same amount of good games. I like my vita and all but I'm not even going to pretend that the 3DS doesn't have a library that's a million times better.

I wasn't planning on buying any more games, but this was on sale on PSN and it's been impossible for me to find a physical copy literally within a hundred miles of me.

Oh, yes, although apparently Saturday school isn't a universal thing over there. It depends on the school. Teachers are generally strongly opposed to it for obvious reasons.

Japanese schools have summer break, it just lasts for about a month less than it does in the states. They also get a week off in the spring and another in the winter. This is not including the occasional holiday break outside of Golden Week.

I think Vol. 1 was better as a whole but Vol. 2 had better standout moments.

I know that there are at least a few people in the process of making new game review aggregator websites as an answer to Metacritic. Rather than averaging out review scores, they intend to use a Rotten Tomatoes style system where the score is based on the percentage of likes vs dislikes. *Edit* I was clarifying my point, FLD, not calling out you specifically.

I'm saying 65 is passable, but not worth 60 bucks. Maybe after a price drop or when it inevitably ends up on PS+ like we all know it will sooner or later.

Iwata has come out and admitted that the port strike on the west coast is the reason for recent supply woes, and since the strike stretches all the way back to November this includes Amiibos, Gamecube adapters, and 3DS units alike. He also said it doesn't impact the supply of games because "games are lightweight and can be flown to America."

Originally I did intend to wait on those two games until I upgraded my 3DS, mostly so I wouldn't have to worry about potentially losing any data during a transfer. However, it's starting to look like it will be several months before I can get my hands on a New 3DS version I want, if not longer, and I don't want to wait THAT long to play Majora. My current XL still works fine.

Hey, I stuck to my guns about not buying a New 3DS until I can get one I want, but I was already planning to get Majora regardless. Monster Hunter I mostly got to play with friends, and that's a Capcom game anyway.

With all the crap I've been dealing with recently I felt like I deserved a little treat.

Apparently there's a dock workers' strike happening on the west coast right now, and while I still don't believe Nintendo has produced anywhere near enough New 3DSes to meet the demand, the fact that 90% of Asia's goods are shipped to the US through the west coast could indicate that there may be a bunch of New 3DS systems sitting on a boat right now, unable to get into the country because of the strike. Keep in mind that there is evidently no 3DS shortage in Europe, even of the limited edition systems.

Well, I'll go ahead and answer those questions for you. It's one school year. However, if I recall correctly by the time I beat the final boss I was in the late 80s or early 90s as far as my levels were concerned, and I didn't go out of my way to grind much except at the very end. It was the same deal with P4 for me, mostly because the most useful Personas in the game require really high levels. I had put in over 90 hours by the time I beat P4, and I think I put in 70 or so with P3 but it's been a while so don't quote me on that. P4 takes about two hours or so before you really even get past the intro, but most people feel that it's better paced because there's more than one dungeon and each dungeon is directly tied into the story as opposed to Tartarus, which is "explore the dungeon because I don't know!" Still love P3, but P4 edges it out ever so slightly if you ask me. Oh yeah, I also like P4's cast more. I'm actually not that wild about P3's cast except for Junpei, who is a total bro.

60 dollars is a lot of money for me. I can't justify spending that on something that will only entertain me for five hours, no matter how good it is.
