A friend of mine actually just complained to me about Gamestop canceling the midnight release for this game. I should also mention that we both live in the northeast. When I heard that I just had to ask him "You're fucking kidding, right?"

Joss Whedon offers his 2 cents.

Good episode tonight. They were clearly focused on establishing the setting and characters they'll be using for the rest of the season, but for an episode that was mostly exposition it was still pretty decent.

Normally I would pay no mind to a game licensed from a tv show, however the developer behind it has a history of putting out some pretty decent games, including adaptations. Pen Ward was also directly involved in the game's production, so maybe we'll see a surprise sleeper.

I was never a fan of Ryan or his policies but the more I learn about this guy the more he strikes me as a real prick.

Well if we're talking about innovation I'm going back to the iPad. Jobs was alive and well when they decided making the iPhone bigger was a revolutionary idea.
-
But getting back to Apple TV, when it was first released it was nowhere near capable of what it does today. They redesigned it to be more like a DVR, but when it first dropped it most certainly was a piece of crap.

Well to be honest I really wanted to say the iPad. Screw that dumbass thing.

As if Jobs wouldn't have also put out that piece of shit iPad mini.

If you're a millionaire or billionaire. Never, ever do this. Never say "I'll donate five million dollars to needy inner city children, but only if this other guy meets my conditions." It's clearly a ploy to make him look bad when he doesn't acquiesce, but all it really does is make you look like a dickhead for offering a charitable donation and then holding it hostage.

That whole scene with the beans is my favorite LSP moment ever. I don't know why.

You know, at least for me I don't think I can say it's just a "father daughter" thing I really like. I'm not saying father daughter relationships in fiction never tug at my heartstrings, but this is different. In these cases, the man is NOT her father, not biologically anyway. Nobody asked him to be a godfather. He never even knew this kid until the moment he found her in the middle of nowhere and although he's not really the parenting type, he takes her with him anyway because the whole world has gone to hell and nobody else is going to help her. He knows that without him, she will die, and that supersedes any apprehension he may feel about raising a child. Likewise, this young girl has probably been on her own for a while, and is most likely only still alive through dumb luck. She has almost certainly not seen any adults in days, possibly weeks. She may not have even seen another human being. If she has, it was probably not someone she could trust. To be a little kid and suddenly find yourself in a world without parents, teachers, or even police officers is terrifying beyond comprehension. Even if she has been able to miraculously fend for herself for a long term period, chances are she would give anything just to have a grown up in her life to reassure her that things would eventually turn out okay. I guess what I really like is that even though the world has ended, the world hasn't really ended. There are still things worth living for, even if it's just the bond between two complete strangers who reached out to each other because there was no one else left.

There is no way that guy was possessed by a gay demon. I mean look at how he's dressed.

This isn't technically Adventure Time however it WAS made by Pendleton Ward.

Anyone else playing this? Specifically while the halloween event is going on?

Of course even without the jewels he still wears the thing, and it's heavily implied that the crown is possessed by spirits. I doubt it's restricted to the jewels.

I doubt Simon will come back just from that. Seems like too quick a fix. If Simon does ever come back, I suspect it will be in the final season, maybe even the final episode.

When they're done right they are pretty effective. I don't know if I can bring myself to replay the game as an emotionally abusive asshole.

It would be so badass if a bunch of multiverse Finn and Jakes all came together to beat back the Lich.
