  1. They pretty much HAD to age him because they wanted to keep the same voice actor, but it's still cool. As for what Jake said...whoa, you think it's foreshadowing? If so, I hope the princess is Flame Princess and not Bubblegum. They make each other happy and Finn doesn't strike me as the type to break a poor sheltered girl's heart.
  2. What really impresses me is how even though the game basically boils down to one big escort mission for Clem, I don't mind it. I actually WANT to protect this kid. I want to take care of her and make sure she's provided for. And again, it comes down to the writing. She's a real sweet kid. She doesn't constantly run off on her own (CARL) and she actually helps out from time to time, usually in significant ways. She's not a burden at all (BEN). Plus, she KNOWS she's a kid. Sure, she wants to help, but she isn't constantly trying to prove she's a grown up (CARL AGAIN). Long story short, you fuck with Clem and I will be on you like Jason Voorhees on a campground.
  3. So uh...what ultimately is Billy's fate? Is he dead?
  4. Ah. I dunno if I see it the same way but I get what you mean now.
  5. You know, I dig the show and all, but I feel like the game might actually have better writing. It certainly came as a surprise to me, like "Is this really the superior adaptation? This little horror adventure game?" And dude, play episode 4. I just finished it last night and some MAJOR shit goes down.
  6. What joke was that? I don't remember. Basically When did that happen in Arrested Development?
  7. I hope you did the same thing with her that I did because I DON'T PLAY THAT SHIT
  8. Which "correction" would you make exactly? I have a feeling I know but tell me anyway.
  9. What joke was that? I don't remember.
  10. I have owned this game for months but never got around to playing it until the season 3 premiere of the tv show got me motivated to start it. Holy CRAP, I have been missing out. This game is amazing. Has anyone else been keeping up with it?
  11. She always did kinda fucked up science projects. Honestly I laughed at it just because of how nonchalant those little guys were about getting cut up.
  12. I just had a horrible thought. Okay, so there's a good chance that Marceline wasn't always a vampire. She was always at least half demon or whatever the hell Hunson is supposed to be, but whenever we see her as a little kid she doesn't have bite marks in her neck. So while Hunson was off doing god knows what, Marceline was being taken care of by Simon. At some point he went away and Marceline was on her own again. At some point after that Hunson showed up and became part of her life. Since she's not a vampire, she needs food to live. What does her dad do? Eat her fucking fries that he doesn't even need. So ultimately I'm getting at this: What if Marceline became a vampire because otherwise she would have STARVED TO DEATH?
  13. Honestly, with the little regard the Emmys gives to the animated category (Penguins of Madagascar?) I'd be surprised if Adventure Time even got a nomination.
  14. They actually do in the comic. Rick teaches a course on killing zombies through a fence with a knife and a hammer. That said, maybe they're just worrying about the INSIDE first and the outside is on their to-do list.
  15. It kills me to know this show is going to lose the Emmy to another crappy Simpsons anthology episode.
  16. Oh god. I watched the Christmas special again to see if there were any retroactive clues on Simon, but I forgot about this part. In case you've forgotten, that's the Ice King happily frolicking in a pile of boogers. I mean...I laughed and all but EW.
  17. Watching it again, some of the subtext is really beginning to sink in. Like when he wrote "And I need to save you, but who's going to save me" it really implies that Simon willingly wore the crown and accelerated his own mental degeneration in exchange for the power to protect Marceline from whatever dangers were lurking around in the wasteland. He might have been doomed either way, but he was still essentially sacrificing himself for her sake, and no matter how you slice it that's downright noble. Also, I'm hoping that Marceline and the current Ice King develop a relationship (not THAT kind). Marceline probably knew to some extent what happened, but that message he wrote seemed to surprise her. I guess I can say she KNEW, but she didn't UNDERSTAND until she saw it. Up until this episode, Marceline went out of her way to avoid the Ice King to the point of constantly moving around just to stay under his radar, but maybe now she'll warm up to him a little. Even if he's not the man he used to be, maybe somewhere in that crazy head of his he still has the capacity to care about her. He keeps finding her, after all. There must be some part of him that is still attached to her, even if he doesn't remember why, so hopefully Marceline will be more willing to let him visit her so he won't be so lonely all the time.
  18. Well, when a show has a fandom it's inescapable. In the last few days I've been doing google image searches for "Marceline and Simon" because I like the pictures people have been drawing, so now I'm beginning to dread what will eventually come up.
  19. Oh god...I just realized that the amount of crack shipping with Marceline and Ice King is gonna be huuuuge...
  20. I'm not all ERMAHGERDFIONNAANDCAKEWHARRGARBL about the rule 63 but I thought it was a cool little spin-off idea.
  21. I would be very surprised if it doesn't make it to the US app store, especially since Capcom already said it was coming. I mean, we got Phoenix into Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for fuck's sake. In Japan the trilogy equates to about 14.99 in US dollars, but that's not an official price. And hey, at least Phoenix is getting a new 3DS game.
  22. I downloaded The World Ends With You: Solo Remix. I already played the DS version so I knew I liked the game, but since the ipod only uses one screen the question on everyone's mind was "How do battles work?" Well, at least for Shiki (I haven't gotten to Beat or Joshua yet) instead of using the D-pad or buttons to input partner attacks, you tap on enemies to summon your partner and tap multiple times for combo attacks. Instead of matching up symbols to power up your team attack before you use it, you play a timed minigame to power up your team attack AFTER you have activated it and before it goes off. I'll probably be crucified for saying this, but I prefer the iOS battle system. The DS version is still a great game and if that's your only means to play it then I would still recommend it, but the combat in the iOS version is a lot less cumbersome. Having to focus on two party members at the same time is impossible, and the best you can really do is either mash in random attack chains with your partner so you can focus on Neku or move Neku around semi-randomly so he won't get hit while you focus on your partner. Frankly, it felt like I was spinning plates the whole time, and if the rest of the game wasn't so great I wouldn't have bothered. Also, the game's art has been given an HD makeover and it looks fantastic. Very smooth and colorful and I have yet to spot any jaggies.
